Sian's 2015 restart - time to shift the weight once and for all!

Re: Sian's restart diary - third time lucky! :-D

To add to my previous catalogue of disasters I've had the base of my slow cooker pot crack to the point the base fell out, and I've now cut my thumb on the afore-mentioned broken pot. Aaarrrggghhh!

Hiya hun! It was actually very tasty...I wasn't too sure what it would taste like as it was a very simple soup. I don't really have a recipe as such as I just chucked a few things in together, but I used the following:

2 leftover chicken thighs
3 skinny leeks sliced
1 large carrot, diced
1 strip of medium egg noodles broken up
1.5 pints of stock made with a chicken stock cube and a chicken oxo
Salt and pepper
A small glug of mushroom ketchup

Method:

I cooked the sliced leeks and carrot in the stock until the carrots were nearly tender. I added the diced up leftover chicken thighs, salt and pepper to taste, and a glug of mushroom ketchup, along with the noodles and cooked for 4 minutes until the noodles were done.

If you like celery it would probably have been nice with some celery cooked in the stock, and maybe some chopped parsley added at the end. I don't like celery though and I hadn't got any parsley, lol! :D xx

Thankyou, it sounds delicious! Will definitely give it a go :) x

Hope your having a good day! X

Re: Sian's restart diary - third time lucky! :-D

No more red days for me! I've been absolutely starving all day! I've also gobbled 2 packets of crisps and 3 alpen light bars! Why do I do it?! I was having a good week and now I've mucked it up :(:(

Grrr your not a failure at all hun your food has been brill. Stick at it, chin up xx

Are we allowed to know what u got lol

Sian you are not a failure. Some crisps and some cereal bars = what, 4/500 cals? So 20 syns? NOT the end of the world.

Don't let it drag you down and ruin the rest of the week xx

It's quite sad really, but my mum's decided she wants to start doing some jigsaw puzzles so I've bought her a jigsaw puzzle and a portapuzzle carry case:

For part of my friend's present I've bought her a make up bag...

Haha! She routinely wears 5 inch heels to teach all day...it's perfect for her! It seems a bit lame, but as it's coming from the US it's actually cost me about £18!
