Aww to the kids and their gifts to their parents . How lovely is that :)

The chutney was lovely Lily. I always have pickle when I have a jacket spud and cheese so it went down very very well thank you my lovely. and I am loving the hifi bars. Real yummy and a fab sweet treat :D

hahaha Lily

I bet you also remember Brandy and Babycham
many's the time I got sozzled on that combo

Oh my gosh, when I first started work I worked at Middlesex House in Alperton for British Gas and my team leader was gorgeous I had a real crush on him :giggle: anyway every lunch time he would go to the Pleasure Boat and I often went too as part of the "in" group and my very first alcoholic drink from my first wage packet (not my first alcoholic drink no way used to drink as a teenager and being a big girl and well developed for my age, I would get served no questions asked :giggle:) was Brandy and Babycham, I hated it but thought I looked good and so drank it all the time until i found Vodka and Lime, very sophisticated :8855: and yeah we used to go back after lunch every day legless but I didn't care cos the team leader instigated it :8855: :8855:
Hope you're having a lovely day xxxxx

I was legless in the early days...somethings just never change :8855: :8855:
The kids are wonderful they saved all their pocket money for the last few months to buy them and they are lovely...this is their first year buying their own pressies....I remember 1st time I used my own money to buy pressies I felt so grown up :D:D
I am so glad you liked the chutney ...I made 35 pots of varying sizes, I kept a huge one for us as we all love it and took 2 large ones in for the xmas raffle at group another for a couple of my closer friends at group, 1 for the lady who supplied the apples and 1 for C, plus some to family and friends....and I have 1 left that is going to Mark's mum cos she loves it too and I could have given away a lot more so next year I am going to make loads more and sell it and give the money to the NSPCC ....see how much I can raise.
Can't wait to make my piccallili this weekend and my pickled onions will be ready in about 3 weeks...yummy yum yum :giggle:
Have a lovely day sweetie xxxxxx

Today I got up early and got Kia ready for school, she is the only one going as the other 2 have a day off not sure why, anywho, the other 2 woke as she was leaving with her dad and we have spent since 8.30 this morning cleaning tidying and preparing tonights dinner and finished off with a lovely breakfast.
So I have a lovely clean house, our belly's are well full and now we are going to watch Christmas Films, Kelsi has gotten out about 30 films, didn't realise I had quite that many actual Christmas ones lol...so looks like we're in for the long haul :8855:
Looks like my shopping trip may be off this weekend, Kirsty decided she has shopping to do and so her and Mal are getting my last 2 presents and Mal will get the personal cards.
My foot peeled badly last night and is very sore today, hopefully if I rest it today and tomorrow and use loads of my creams and potions plus the footsoak the hospital gave me a sample of and which seems to help (bought a 500ml bottle from Boots last night cost me £15 ) then hopefully it will be good enough for me to make a trip out on sunday even if it's just to pets at home to get Chester and Missy's Pressies....of course they have to have pressies too...Chessie loves his squeaky toys bless him :giggle:
Anyway if I'm not back in a day or 2 then send out the search party as I may well be snowed under in Christmas films :8855: :8855: xxxxxxxx

That made me giggle reading about getting sozzled at lunch time. In the olden days it was always a good idea to ring the tax office for a rebate on a Friday afternoon. We'd all been in the pub for a couple of hours and were at our most obliging then :D

The kids really got a lot for their money. I bet they're proud of themselves :)

I hope your foot gets better soon.

Unfortunately or maybe fortunately, our lunchtime drinking wasn't limited to just Friday's and I was in the accounts dept :8855: I remember us getting numerous complaints about gas bills being 10 x higher than they should have been....can't think how that happened ;) :giggle:
The kids are very smart when it comes to money ...they know how to earn it and spend it to their advantage :8855:
Thanks hun, my foot is a lot better than it's been for a while but occasionally it just has to peel and it becomes sore, with lots of care I am hoping it'll be fine by tomorrow or Sunday xxxx

hmmm lilys diaries turn for one of my interesting visions:D

I am getting this picture of lily sozzeled on red witches lying flat on her back with a continuous loop of christmas films playing on the tv :8855:

hope you have had a good weekend and your foot is feeling better.

Hey everyone, omg what a weekend, pringles and Lindt truffles is all I will say, let's hope the walking and exercising done earlier in the week have counteracted any gain:giggle:
Grandchildren, Pringles, Christmas movies and Lindt chocolate not the best combination for my weight but a great combo for slobbing out to with the kids , hey it's Christmas , well almost :8855:
So back to normal today. Having my first ever green tea this morning ...not impressed :sign0137: but I will persevere :D see how I feel after I have finished the pack...have a lovely day all and 100% all the way today :bighug: xxxxxxxxxx

how is your daughters shoulder doing ?

My foot is feeling okish, did a lot of soaking and coating it in creams and ointments over the weekend, and it feels a lot less sore today. Will have to see if I can get the footsoak on Prescription (get free prescriptions, may as well see if I can get it on that especially as I will most likely be using it an awful lot), as I only bought it Thursday and it's over half gone and at £15 a bottle I can't afford to keep paying that (having said that, while it works I'd pay anything).
Kelly's shoulder, she went for a visit with the Consultant, not her normal one as he's on holiday and let's just say she wasn't impressed. Didn't even open her file or take her arm out of the sling, just said she needed physio and that they wouldn't consider and op as it had only come out the once since 2008, she said I beg to differ, if you'd bothered to read my notes you would have seen that it actually used to come out on a regular basis and that my Consultant has put in my notes that if it occurs again, they will be considering a stabilising op, with that she got up and left, made her appt for January to see her normal Consultant and will now wait for her physio appt which he told her will be in about 2 weeks...can't see that happening as that's Christmas week, but we'll see. Will let you know how she gets on xxxxxxx

P.S. Must just tell you this, she told me last night how she had taken her arm out of the sling for the 1st time before getting into bed the night before, as she can't sleep with it like that and she wanted a good nights sleep. Anywho she woke at 4am to Simon her hubby shouting at her don't move whatever you do. Apparently during her sleep she had managed to put her arm up and over her head and was laying there with it curled around her head, Simon bless him had woken and seen her laying like that and was scared stiff it was going to pop out again if she made any sudden movements, so he gingerly moved it back down and put it back into the sling...weird cos when awake she can't lift it higher than shoulder height  xxxxx

Talk about jinxing myself, my foot peeled again tonight and is very very sore, having to hobble about on my toes and to be honest it's beginning to get me down.
The good thing is that after a good peel it usually heals well and I get a week or so's relief, which means if all goes to plan that it should be ok over Christmas :fingerscrossed:
I nearly feinted when I went into Boots to get it and they said £14.95  but to be honest right then I would have paid £50 had they asked that for it, but then I didn't know that it would go down so fast, you'd think a cap full and a half doesn't sound a lot but it is.
The worst of it all is that once again I have had to increase my steroids and I now have sores all over my lips and tongue..it just seems never ending...
OMG the wind here is so strong it just ripped the lid off my neighbours wheelie bin hurtled across into my front garden and smashed down my new Christmas decs....I am definitely jinxed, last time I will put decs up outside, every year something happens to them...
Hope everyone's had a better day then me ...wouldn't be hard right now :giggle: xxxx

Mandy I'm not sure Kelly was relaxed although I can see what you mean, but I know she was exhausted hasn't slept more than an hour or 2 each night since she dislocated it xxxxxx

Just popped into say hi :wavey: Lilly and let you know hubby came out of hospital today, catch you tomorrow. xx

Hey Jane, good to have you back lovely and glad hubby is on the mend, take care sweetie :bighug: xxxxxx

Morning everyone, well I am in a more positive mood today so I will start my day by nicking my lovely twin Jackie's idea of writing down 3 positives a day so here goes:

1) Woke in a good mood after a great nights sleep
2) Jumped on the scales and was expecting a massive gain to see a 1.5lb loss, but we'll confirm it at group, either way it means I almost definitely haven't gained the 5lb I was expecting to lol
3) Going to have a lovely healthy day food wise and attempt some mild exercise as my foot feels a bit better.

And now to my menu for today:

Breakfast:
Coffee 1.5 syns
Mixed fruit ~(Banana, Persimon, clementine, grapes)
Oats so simple (Hexb)
150ml Skimmed milk (part Hexa)

Batter (made with part Hexa milk) 2 syns for flour
