Sick of carrying 2 hitch hikers about, so this is my diary

Wow Lily you are a serious collector..........I have some "piggins" coz I love the humour of them and some Brambly Hedge and neither are made any more.........don't like the Royal Dalton Brambley Hedge, has to be the Border Fine Arts as I love all the detail. I'm trying to find a dragon for middle son.........do you remember the ones that had the crystals with them? That's what I'm after, but they seem to be like gold dust now........will keep looking and if I can't find one then have seen some others on the net that will be OK.............he has a thing about dragons lol

The ones with the dragon and crystals are Myth and Magic I have 4 really large ones and about a dozen or so medium ones and probably about 10 small ones, I may be selling some of them so watch this space lol xxx

I have a couple of Lion King Snowglobes...love them, but they're not my favourites if I had to choose a favourite, I think it would be the first one Mal bought me and that was Belle and the Beast standing looking at the dome with the rose in that lights up ...and 90% of my globes are musical too xxx

You would know I was impressed if you could have heard the sharp intake of breathe on my side lol I only have one of the Lion king snowglobes left now which was funnily enough bought by Pete that's lights up and plays the circle of life, I bought the broadway one but the cat knocked it off the mantlepiece and also had the tall one, that played I just can't wait to be king Pete broke it while he was cleaning, I didn't speak to him for a week!!

thats the trouble with collecting isn't it when things get broken and they only make them for a limited time and once broken things are almost impossible to replace and I don't know if you are the same as me, but replacements are never the same..............or am I just mad????

I would be the same Emma, I have had a few of my globes broken completely and others have had a piece or 2 knocked off, which is so easy to do when they are so delicate...but most I have managed to keep in fabulous condition ...I can't unfortunately get to 2 of my cabinest with the globes in cos they are in the back bedroom and there are mountains of baby stuff in front of them, but my main cabinet in the front room is full of them and I can take some pictures either later tonight after Mal has finished watching his speedway or tomorrow either way I will post photos xxx

Dawnie, I have just taken a picture of my Myth and Magic Pieces, Mal reminded me that I broke one of my large pieces when I just screamed there's one missing lol...so I have 3 large ones and numerous other smaller ones, some with dragons some with unicorns and some with fairies ...and I will post a pic in a minute....again they aren't very clear ...I would have to take them out and photograph them individually and I will have to do so if I want to sell them but not tonight lol xxx

I tried to pm you but your in box is full lol anyway what it was was I have just finished a baby blanket for a friend and I have enough wool left to do another and I thought of you . I have enclosed a picture but you can't see the the cream flowers I ve sewn on in the corners the lady I did it for didn't like pink otherwise it would of been pink flowers . If it had been a boy I have pale blue ducks . Would you like one for your daughter ? It ll keep me busy I know she s not due yet x

Hello lovely Katie, what a generous offer, I would be thrilled to receive the blanket and I know Kirsty would too, it looks adorable ....if I have one regret it's that I never learnt to knit, I love hand made baby clothes and blankets and so do my girls. No she's not due till December, thank you Katie I am so thrilled I can't say much more....oh and I have now emptied my inbox...didn't realize I was that popular that it was full :giggle:

Good morning lovely Dawnie, it is a lovely collection, but like my globes there are those that I would struggle to part with and those that are taking up space and I need to condense my ornaments to make more room......so it's not a maybe it's a must .

So today is the end of my old week and the start of my new one after wi tonight.
So my menu for today Tuesday 12th June 2012 is :

Breakfast:
Satsuma
Banana
Blueberries
Mixed Berries
Shape 0% Fat Cherry Yoghurt
Coffee 1.5 syns
Water 1 pint

Lunch:
Ham and Egg Salad
Banana
Strawberries
Water 1 pint

Dinner:
2 x Morrisons 60% Fat Free Cumberland sausages 2 syns
100g Home Fries 2 syns
2 x Rashers of lean back bacon (all fat removed)
2 x Poached eggs
Baked beans
Tomatoes, tinned and grilled fresh
Mountains of Mushrooms
2 x Wholemeal Bread Hexb
Flora Light 2 syns
Mixed Salad
Water 1 pint

Extras:
Fruit throughout the day
Milky Options 2 syns
2 x Crumble Yoghurt 1 syn

Total for the day =10.5

Total for the week Day 1 = 10.5/105

Exercise 3 hours drank 4 pints (exercise 1.5 hours am and drank 2 pints and 1.5 hours pm and drank 2 pints )

Woke up after just 3 hours sleep and feel full of the joys of spring and excited to wi
I have the most fabulous family and I love them to bits and they love me
I have the best friends in the world and I love you all to bits
The new shed has arrived and I am excited to get the spare room emptied and ready to be turned into the new nursery
I am going to be a Nanna again and I am very excited
I am happy and content with my life xxx

As you posted on Jackie's diary, I too started to post my menu a few days ago, as I was drifting, but totally forgot about the positives, so, will have to start those again too!

Fabulous collection!, which made me think, I'm boring, I don't collect anything, then remembered the thousands of beermats packaged away safely in the attic that I collected in my youth, the Smartie top's making alphabets in all the different colours, and now that I have 'grown up' my collection of Swarovski crystal:8855:

Hello lovely Lynne it is nice to actually have a little spare time to post again...fingers crossed it stays that way lol
I love doing my menu's and posting my positives, immediately I felt happier and looking forward to the day again.
Oh I used to have some Swarovski crystal, think I do still have a couple of small pieces but gave up with them when Kelly decided to wash them for me and broke 95% of them in the process :argh: bless her :giggle:

My younger brother used to collect beer mats too, he now owns a pub so he most likely has a bigger collection than he had....I actually haven't spoken to him in years which reminds me it was his birthday yesterday oops lol...oh well he never sends me a card so......lol

I love collecting mainly with me as you know
my collection lives and breaths ( reptiles lol )
but I also collect Tusker elephants and have many
limited editions you can only get by joining the Tusker
official club and woe betide anyone who breaks one lol
