Silver's Diary

Just to keep with the overall theme of doom and gloom, today was a bad day. I woke up feeling nauseous and forced myself to have some yoghurt from breakfast. The cats had vomited in the kitchen and on my favourite seat. And my hip was feeling pretty sore still.

I decided to forgo my Push box class and I'd try run later in the day if my hip felt better. It didn't. Nausea didn't dissipate until mid afternoon, shortly after which a headcahe developed. Got to chat to my parents via Skpe and they ended up giving out about my running AND weight regimen! So that made me feel crap. They also said I should give up on the 15K :(

I got a salad and a steak and halved them. I had one portion at lunch and one at dinner. Also bought some beetroot crisps that my local organic store sells in bulk. Thos e were the only high light of my day lol.

Cat vomited again just before dinner. Great way to work up an appetite :jelous:

Picked up my husband from football and now I'm home. Still have a headache and just feel like I could cry. A bottle of red wine would be perfect right now :p Going to have water instead and try beat this headache before bed. Hopefully tomorrow will be a brighter day.

What a bloomin day xxx keep your spirits up. Hope your feeling better today xxx

Thanks Siddid :) Today has definitely started out better, with no nausea and no surprise cat vomit :p Got to sleep-in as well because I decided early to skip my push box class again. Hip is still bad :( But I'm going to the doctor in a few hours so hopefully she can help and I have a meeting with a trainer after so I'll talk to her about rehab for my hip too. I've also decided not to train for the 15K until my hip feel much better. I feel super guilty and stressed about if but I know it's the right choice. Let's hope it clears up soon

PP today. Breakfast was yoghurt and oatbran.

Lunch was scrambled eggs.

Dinner was steak and James surprised me with Rhubarb so I had a nice dessert.

I got to the doctor. I now have a referal to a physio therapist and a few other things so I should be getting back on track soon.
The poor trainer I was due to meet with today injured herself and had to reschedule. I hope she's ok :( But on the good side my hip was feeling a bit better today so I'm going to go to my Push Box class tomorrow.

Blessed PV today :D Breakfast was yogurt and oatbran.

Lunch was a salad while out with a friend.

Dinner was a steak and beetroot crisps. I am addicted to those things! I know they aren't the best for me but I wanted a reward because I rocked in the gym today :)

We were doing 5 sets of 5minute AMRAPs (as many reps as possible). Each set consists of 3 wall climbs*, 6 pull ups, and 9 kettle bell swings (35lbs) repeated as many times as possible.
I managed 3 reps per 5mins and I improved my wall climb to almost full extension, which is something I'm very bad at, and I destroyed my pull ups! I'm currently doing band assisted pull ups, (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aIC707MCtYw) working from the highest strength band to lowest and, eventually, none. I've gotten to medium strength and I did 90 total pull ups with each set of 6 done in less than 30secs and with my chin completely over the bar everytime :D I think I'm ready to graduated to a lower strength band!
Normally I finish pretty low in the class but today I was keeping up with Diehard (one of the strongest/fittest girls in the class) :D And I got complements from most of my class mates :) Oh and nearly all of us have nicknames. I'm "Irish". Terribly imaginative :p

*A wall climb is where you start in a plank position with your feet against a wall and then walk your feet up the wall as you walk your hands in toward the wall. The desired result is basically a plank to a handstand facing the wall to a plank (and repeat) The first move in this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VCptZVnWvFE. It's really hard! I'm convinced I'm going to faceplant one day

I can't read about exercise stuff at this hour of the day(!), but the cat vomit made me laugh (particularly as I myself had a worse experience this morning... I found a cat poo next to our loo on the fortunately tiled floor. Given that I walk to the loo in the dark barefooted in the night (twice last night), just the thought of [UGH I'll spare you a graphic explanation!]. (PS: I have two cats and a kitten and two litter trays in the bathroom but this is a first.)

Excellent advice over the other side this morning. It's funny how people have such selective memories yet your reminder was so well worded compared to mine! :D

Oh god... barefoot....cat poo... I nearly had that happen to me as well a few nights ago. I've 2 cats and a dog. The joys of pets :p

I had noticed the glossing over of some of your comments so I thought I may as well high-light it. I wouldn't have noticed otherwise myself  hopefully all will be well :)

Sounding good in the hood Silver - well done on the gym session - makes my poor tummy go into spasm thinking about doing any of those exercises right now!!! LOL! Mind you plan to try and get to the gym once I have recovered to get some core strength going on but don't see that happening for a wee bit! Food is looking good too..... Have you decided on your TW???

PP today. Breakfast was yoghurt and oatbran.

Lunch was scrambled eggs.

Dinner was turkey burgers and dessert was rhubard. May have had too much rhubard...

Went to PUSH Box class again. Had to modify one of the exercises cause my hip was bugging me. I'm calling the physio tomorrow. Just waiting to hear about another one from a personal trainer I know.

I also need to start drinking more water. I've kinda let that fall by the wayside.

Everything is looking good Silver - hope you get some positive news about how to deal with your hip soon and can move forward but in the meanwhile do try and limit how you use it!!! Things usually hurt to remind us to take it a bit easy!!!! LOL! x

So yesterday was PV but I stayed with mainly PP as I was going for dinner in the evening.

Breakfast was yogurt and oatbran.

Lunch was eggs and low fat sauasges.

Dinner was trumpet mushrooms with garlic puree and balsamic to start and steak with sauteed greens and roast cauliflower. It was really tasty :) James got a Seville orange merangue pie for dessert that looked amazing!

I went to PUSH Box class is the afternoon but I took it fairly easy as 3 out of the 5 exercises we were doing had a lot of hip movement. And speaking of my hip, it's starting to feel quite a bit better so yay :D

Yesterday was PP. Breakfast was scrambled eggs, turkey bacon and low fat sausages.

Lunch was skipped.

Dinner was a steak and I had yoghurt and oatbran for dessert.

James and I watched Seven Psychopaths with dinner. We also ended up going to the cinema with a friend to see Django Unchained. It was way more fun than I thought it would be :) we got the house cleaned and we were planning on getting some upholstery and a rug cleaned but we found out it will be cheaper to buy new stuff. Gotta love Ikea.

I'm planning on finishing up with Cruise on Thursday. I had set that as a deadline when I started and I feel like it would be the best option for me. I've been stuck in and around 175-173 for the last age it seems. I'm going to do protein days until Tuesday and then PV on Wednesday just to see it I can get out of the mini plateau I'm on before I go onto Conso.

I won't be exercising this week. My hip is still not better. Kinda feels like the pain is evolving into something different. I'm doing my best to get a physio appt as soon as possible and maybe a sports massage. Can't believe I'm such a wreck :p

Had another PP day today. Breakfast was yoghurt and oatbran.

Lunch was scrambled eggs and low fat sausages.

Dinner was steak and some onions.

Technically I had a relaxing day today. I got the bathroom press and counter organised which had been on my To Do list for a while. I was hoping to meet a girl I'm attempting to become better friends with today. She was suposed to let me know when she was free and I never heard from her :( Americans are so hard to pin down! Most of the time you can't tell if they're being fake nice or real nice
So I spent my day trying to figure out if I should go do something (I had a list remember :p) and then arguing with myself that the minute I drive away from the city will be the minute she calls/texts. Pretty pathetic I know. I suppose at least it meant that I rested my hip and didn't do anything strenuous :p
