Skulldilocks' Slimming World Diary Part II

Morning all! Don't think I've woken up this chipper on a Monday morning in a very long time despite the fact the office is freezing. Genuinely think a lot of it is to do with being 100% on plan - I have much more energy, didn't nap this week like I normally would lol, sleeping better and still enjoying the planning and such. It really has made such a difference having the boyfriend back in tow. Yesterday we wanted a lazy day in together but he forced me out of my jim jams for a walk and has been sticking to plan and not eating tubs of ice cream and packs and packs of crsips in front of me. :)

So far so good this week, Dry January still going strong and I also haven't had any fizzy drinks this week either, hopefully this will help against the star week bloat. I'll be going for my third gym session tonight and have nice food planned. Have a good week all :)

I've had the yoomoo yogurts before and been disappointed, I'm thinking about investing in a nice cream maker, seen some for around £20 to make syn free frozen yogurt and ice creams, I love ice cream and always see the nice recipes in slimming world magazines and I can't be assed to make them by hand lol

I'm going to make some soup this afternoon I think, got a stew pack so just going to use that, and maybe throw a sweet potato and some leeks In! Think ill do higher same as you and put some chilli flakes in x

Yeh I always use chilli and curry powder and always end up blowing my head off haha! good for the old metabolism though :p I had carrots and swedes but don't mind them blended up.

And that sounds like a good idea with the ice cream maker! The nice ice cream like B&Js is so expensive too it would be lower is syns and lbs! X

Ergh its so cold today! Wish I'd got my butt out of bed earlier for some porridge or something warm, a cold banana and yoghurt is not doing the trick lol!

Thanks! I've never made it before either, but the recipe in the latest magazine just screamed at me to make it! Hopefully it will be as comforting as it looks! X

Awww Lily so glad to hear you woke up the other day feeling so much better and happier!! I think the fact you've not been napping as much etc really shows the overwhelming yet relatively simple effect that food can have on our lives!!

You are truly living and breathing the plan at the minute - 5.5lb loss last week was incredible!

How'd the slow cooked meal turn out the other night? It sounded delish and I'm always on the hunt for more tired and tested crockpot recipes!x

Aww thanks Lily, its nice to have you back :) I hope you had a great holiday!
Yeaaah, it really is 100% all systems go at the mo, long may it last and hopefully another good loss tomorrow!
The five spiced braised pork was LUSH! It went down a storm with the other half too. I didn't have all the spices it required, like star anise and such but it was still really flavoursome. Ididnt have any cornflour so it was quite juicy rather than sticky but it made it syn free and was still really flavoursome, def one to keep on the meal plan. Like you I would love to use my slow cooker more but until now all I ever did in it was pulled pork (can't complain :p ) xx

It's from the "All in One" book. I'll write it out for you when I get home lovely :) xx

Eeeek its weigh day! I am hoping for at least 2lbs as I've been 100% on plan and doing the odd bit of body magic but who knows, I have only just finished star week and am worried about water retention even though I drink 4 litres of water a day! Oooh yummy tea for after weigh in!! Good luck :) xx

Good luck for WI Lily!! Everything crossed for you :)

Dinner sounds AMAZING too! Are the quorn southern fried chicken burgers nice?? Worth 2.5 syns? I do love southern fried chicken but it's been soooooooo long since I had it that I forget what it tastes like! xx

I deffo think they are! They don't shrink like other burgers obvs and they're thick and flavoursome. Saisbo's had Quorn products 3 for £5.50 so we bought these and the normal Quorn burgers. And bum, forgot about your recipe last night sorry will do it tonight after WI :) xx

I gained 1.5lbs WHAT! So upset! Star week is the only reason I can think of as I've been 100% on plan :(

Totally feeling your pain chick...I gained 1 this week too and was gutted! Totally unexpected and I'd been 100% too??

Think there's been a lot of unexplained results this week reading other threads....dunno why!

It's hard but just try to keep at it...so disheartening tho eh x

Still in a strop this morning after last night's result. Despite my foul mood I didn't black hole and still spent time quickly cooking off a quiche after IMAGE therapy so that I had something ready for lunch today. I have no idea what's in the freezer so will update dinner later. It'll have to be something quick though as I have a phone interview as soon as I'm home this eve.
