Smelly Elle's fantastic diary: Weight Loss? What Weight Loss?

oops...

also our attitude to food varies from person to person - i think it's something we pick up from when we were little, perhaps even in the womb? but that's what I think, anyway (my mum ate loads when pregnant with me whereas with nat she couldn't face food, and Nat's actually underweight). This scientist fed a group of nursery children their lunch, asked them to point to a chart to tell her how full they were. And then they were set down to do some colouring and plates with chocolate biscuits and mini rolls were put next to them. Some of them didn't even look at the plate haha, in fact one kid actually pushed it away. some of them ate a bit from it, and some of them finished the plate of biccies off PLUS crumbs. I know which I would have done hahaha.

Now I have a fear that any kids I have will either be severely overweight or severely underweight haha.

his guy, everyone, has put on about 5kilos was it? But most of the weight was muscle that he had gained, even thought they weren't allowed to do any exercise

The Chinese guy elle, yes. I had the same sort of fat really, hard and firm, not wobbly really, not until right at the end.

That's why we drink water elle, it flushes the fat cells and eventually collapses and removes them.

I agree about the food, I used to be IT director of a large food group, I knew back then what they did with chicken, not so easy with the red meats though.

think i might check that out when i get home elle :)

and i am also doing a chocolate munch today. and an everything else i can get my hands on munch. was a moody cow all day on my birthday... so i'm guessing the hormones are looming...

Your Birthday abz? when was that, happy belated Birthday hun.

Just looked up that Tracy Anderson, Personal Trainer to Madonna and Gwyneth Paltrow, lady. Out of interest, do any of us want to look like this:

Er, nah! I'd rather have more meat, as in muscle than be THAT skinny...

A group of naturally thin people were told to eat double the number of calories they should consume, daily, for 4 weeks, to see how it would affect them. None of them went overweight, although some put on more percentage body fat than others. And all of them went back to their original weight or very close to it within was it 4 weeks Jim? Without going on a diet.

Were they eating the same things (like was there a list of stuff they had to eat to up their calories) or could they choose what to stuff their faces with? I missed it, but it did look interesting...

I wasn't watching it that closely, I think they ate the same sort of stuff but just more of it love.

they were given an example of things they should eat...most of them tried to bump up the calories by eating chocolate. oh and macdonalds. and one guy actually ate clotted cream on its own, bleurgh! Ellie I've stuck the link up on my previous post if you fancy watching it on iplayer, it's well worth it!

Ohhhh yeah, haha, I wrote a poem, I'd forgotten all about that lol... Glad you're back Abz - The other day i had a chocolate binge day and broke out in what can only be described as a mild form of acne, came online, complained about it, went to the toilet.. ANDDD totm joined me. He said he's on his way to you next!

Here's another link guys, this is a funny letter of complaint to Virgin. I was trying to hold back the laughter at my desk!
