Smelly Elle's fantastic diary: Weight Loss? What Weight Loss?

What does the star signify?

:O Gem you've got a star!! I suppose it means you've got a significant number of rep points, Jim.

Guys if there's one thing I definitely agree with it's the idea that for a relationship to work you have to have your you time and your we time. Too much or too little of either can upset the balance. Ooh, I feel the first minimins book coming on:p Hmmm...minimins book. Now that's not such a bad idea you know..

Woooo hooo, elle is a beauty. :) I've got the weekend from Hell coming up. Friday night we're all out with the company, somewhere in the mailbox. Saturday is our 36th wedding anniversary and we are going out for a meal, Sunday Eleanor and Nick have decided to have a Chinese at Modern China. That will be fun but talk about a blowout weekend. :p

For the Brummies amongst us that's the old Stockland green pub

Modern China, chinese restaurant, inn chinese restaurant, restaurants - chinese, chinese takeaway, chinese takeaway birmingham

REALLYYYY JIM?! haha, i wouldn't exactly say that's the best picture of my face in the world, lol, and my top lip seems to have disappeared altogether, haha. But thanks anyway.

Chinese yummmmmmmmmmm yum yum. I'm very worried about this weekend coming. My godsister is coming over from Cyprus to check out some uni's over here that she's applied to, and her bro (who's at Southampton) is coming to stay too, to see her. This means that at some point there will be more chocolate and probably meals out in a variety of places. :S

I certainly don't but I don't think I'd be able to look like that in a million years even if I did!! :8855:

No way, she is way too skinny.

Taz - Why did I need to tell you about the star - it's not invisible :p x

Jools - 42 years - congratulations indeed - that's great. :) x

Elle - Yuk - why would anyone aspire to that?

eww wouldnt want to look like that, your plan 4 this week sounds good.

Yeh I took one look at her and thought, well if this is what you want to make me look like I certainly don't want to buy your work out dvd.

I'm looking into Gym membership where my friend Sof goes - think it's best to just bite the bullet...

Ooh, I watched a tres interesting programme tonight entitled "why thin people aren't fat" or something of the sort. Very enlightening...but ill write more tomorrow cos im shattered and need sleep.

night all xxx

Morning Elle, I joined the gym yesterday, got my induction today. I will also go for a swim afterwards. Go for it, join up!

Good morning

Elle I saw that program as well, very interesting, also watched channel 4's dispatches, the stuff they do to food in supermarkets! I'll never eat chicken again.

Yeh, my mum has only bought organic meats for a good 6 years now. She reads the daily mail a lot:p suppose they were right about one thing though...

How about that guy, Jim, the one who only put on like, 2% fat after 4 weeks of eating double the calories! This guy, everyone, has put on about 5kilos was it? But most of the weight was muscle that he had gained, even thought they weren't allowed to do any exercise!

Perhaps I should explain lol. A group of naturally thin people were told to eat double the number of calories they should consume, daily, for 4 weeks, to see how it would affect them. None of them went overweight, although some put on more percentage body fat than others. And all of them went back to their original weight or very close to it within was it 4 weeks Jim? Without going on a diet. Which the experts claim prove that we all have a natural body weight, and our body will do its best to keep us at that weight.

Also, the fat cells bit i found very interesting. My PE teacher told us this back in year 7 - your fat cells with expand up to a point and then, once they can expand no more your body will start making extra fat cells. unfortunately, you can't get rid of fat cells. Hence those of us who have made extra fat cells will always find it easier to put weight on. And that's why a lot of kids who have had a fat stage will probably be over weight when older.
