Total Solution South Pacific

Really hope you get a good loss tomorrow Darcie! Definately going to see if I can get some glass nuggets and 2 dishes during my lunch break on monday. What sort of shops sell them? I think I might even start with my original target from last May because that was when my journey really started.

Good luck for weigh in, fingers crossed its a good one x

Had a good day :)

Laundry all done, recycling out and some other bits sorted.

Have put glass nuggets into a bowl - one for every pound I need to lose - with another bowl to transfer them to as I go along.

I'm going shopping tomorrow for some treats - don't worry, nothing edible - and then going to put them in a basket, and 'give' one to myself for each stone I lose.

........a few little motivational tools I hope will be useful :)

I was thinking of doing the same with the glass nuggets, think I will do on Monday when I start :)

Weigh in day!!!!!! Here's to a good result!

Drum roll please...........today I have lost 4lbs, making 16lbs in two weeks!! :D

Very, very pleased :)

......but even more pleased about how much better I feel about myself. The sun is shining so I'm going to go out for a little walk this afternoon.

I have put 4 nuggets into the other bowl - I can recommend this guys, quite a psychological lift :D

Thanks Lynne. I bought the nuggets in Poundstretchers - any of the 'bargain' type shops would have them I think. My favourite shops - I love a bargain :D

Well done Darcy, excellent loss.
Just read you are a nurse too. We really are our worst enemies in more ways than one aren't we. I don't think shift work & every thing else that comes with nursing do us any favours either, just lead to bad habits. Think I will get some nuggets too & take them into work so that everyone can see how well I am doing. That way they may decide to put all the goodies out of my sight lol x

Nice one Darcy. That's fab! Hope u enjoyed ur walk :) x

Just got back, scarlet in the face and out of breath, but

.......that's the first time I've walked further than my front door to the car in years!

I've been out for 50 minutes, and it's hilly around here, so not bad. I'd forgotten how pretty an area I live in - lovely park nearby with a river, lots of trees.

Now I need to go and wash the mud off my lovely white trainers :D

Oh, you're so right :)

I gave up the shift work a few years ago for an office based role, but bad habits die hard!

Evenings are my worst time, so I save all my packs for then. Works for me the best :D

Crazy how we've seen the hideous things that obesity results in, but don't do anything about our own problems

I do recommend the nuggets, amazing what a bit of visual motivation does :)

Yes visual motivation is the best. I have just made a big cardboard poster & stuck in in top of the hob. Its a grid that will show how many weeks I have stayed TS, weeks where I have eaten ( hopefully not many)& weekly weight loss. I want it in a place where everyone can see how I have been getting on. The only thing I'm not brave enough to do is put my measurements on. One step at a time though, hopefully I will get the courage to put them on there at some point.
Good on you for getting that walk under your belt Darcy x

Glad you enjoyed your walk Darcy. It's good for the soul to get out in the fresh air for a walk.

Well done for the walk Darcy. It's amazing how you can get outside and start to appreciate the natural beauty that surrounds you :) x

Very true!

I had forgotten what a nice spot this is! :)

Lovely river, with a weir and lots of lovely trees, and just a few minutes away.

I'm tired this evening - but pleasantly so.

Plan to do a walk at least a couple of times a week.

I must confess to belonging to a gym, but haven't been there for ages
