Total Solution South Pacific

I'm thinking of going part time in the Spring. I enjoy my job, but the travelling is getting a bit onerous. I am single, so any money coming in I have to earn - makes this a big decision :)

Contemplating taking my NHS pension early to top up part time hours. Waiting to hear back from the pension service with some numbers before I decide.

Pensions are so tricky to work out. Hope your HR are better than mine.

Thank you Shrimp :)

I'm being philosophical - the boiler has done sterling service for many years, this day had to come eventually

.......I'll get a quote from British Gas later in the year.

Proud of myself that I haven't turned to food - my old response to setbacks :D
It's really good that you have not gone back to old ways

Brilliant Darcy! You're going great guns. Well done!

Well, I am sure this diary must rank as one of the most boring ever! :D

Today, I have just taken delivery of my new craft table. It's a folding heavy duty affair - no room to leave it up permanently, and it has to be sturdy enough to take my sewing machine.

I have a loft full of craft supplies and projects, and I always loved making things, so going to try and get back into it and stop spending quite so many hours in front of the TV. Part of my new lifestyle! :)

Hope to go out for a walk later, but I'm waiting for another delivery- a gift for a friend, and some bits to finish off my 'treat box' :)

......being on holiday is the only time I can get things delivered, but it does make things awkward waiting in for stuff.

This evening I'm going to an amateur theatre production of Chorus Line with a friend, which her daughter is in.

Diet wise nothing much to say. Quite amazing but I don't even think about it now - black coffee and water during the day, 3 packs in the evening, and that's it. Apart from a few passing moments here and there, I don't think about food any more - and never, ever thought I'd say that :D

Did have a horrible few moments last night as I watched that channel 4 documentary about loose skin following massive weight loss. Oh my goodness, please please don't let me end up like those poor people

Have a good day one and all :)

Wow, just had quite the workout - hauling my craft table up to my 'office'

......it weighs a ton, and I had to do 4 flights of stairs - I live in a town house - I'm pooped now! :D

.....must be worth a few ounces off, don't you think?

Well done on that work out Darcy that's great

Thanks Tigs :)

Have just swept out the garage, so have been active all day

......not going to be able to make the walk, it's absolutely freezing out and now it's raining, also a parcel is still outstanding and I'd hate to miss it now :)

Just having a coffee to thaw out - it's cold in the garage

Darcy you must be a bit tired after all that activity today. Nice reward later with the show.
Love the RN, something different isn't it & you never know you might get a nice little sideline making crafts. I'm pretty useless at anything like that. Enjoy your evening out x

Hi Susie

Just back from the show - really enjoyed it, such energy!

I am a bit tired now, so off to bed in a bit.

I've got an RN charm on my Pandora bracelet, so thought the pendant would look good with it.

.....we worked long and hard for our registration, so flaunt it :D

Hi DQ :)

I must admit, I do feel great :D

I don't normally mind being vertically challenged, and I'm very independent - but boy, a 6ft hunk to hoik that table would have been very gratefully received

.........I tell you what though, it's not coming out of that room again

Well done on sweeping out the garage I was just looking outside today thinking I need to buy a yard Brush and sweep outside the leaves are a disaster out there - it would be great exercise aswell :)

Leaves, spiders, cobwebs........

.......but it looks so much better :)

Morning all, another day underway :)

My plan is to finish the tidying up in the garage today

.......although I turfed out all the rubbish last year, quite a bit of organising is left to do :D

Glad you enjoyed the show. Yes you are right about the RNing. A nice surprise was waiting for me on the door mat this morning. A letter from the NMC asking for my annual fee! So going to be a bit poorer this month.
By the way I love the box of treats idea, good forward planning there Darcy. Hope your day goes well x
