Speed Food Challenge

ok getting back on track today , just had a massive bowl of strawberries, melon and pineapple. Really need a loss this week

Todays list isn't long either - Red day - but so far I have had:

*Free but not Speed:

red cabbage
cucumber
lettuce
tomatoes
beetroot
onions
melon
pineapple
kiwi
strawberries
turkey

I thought turkey was a speed food?

Wow thats pretty darn poor today! :( I'm in a good mood for once so I'm not bothered - will be better tomorrow x

After upping my S/SS fruits last week and having a 3.5 lb loss :D I decided speed foods are the way forward so I'm making a concious effort to have as many as I can from now on.

Been reading some of the posts on here and its surprising what you learn - I never realised that chicken and tuna are both speed foods!! Time to get the books out again. lol.

Today I've had:

melon
raspberries
kiwi
mushrooms
onions
tinned toms
peppers
chicken
punnet of cherries

also had a dragon fruit which isn't on the list but I'm assuming (hoping) its at least a speed food, if not superspeed.

how do you think this is working , have you lost more on this ?
 
I have only been doing it for just over a week and I wi again tomorrow, last week I gained 1/2lb , but it was my birthday and I really didn't count the syns as such, although I was aware of what went into my mouth. In all honesty I would say it works, as I have put on up to 3lbs after a buffet style celebration, but we'll get a clearer picture over the next few weeks. Plus as I have been averaging 1lb a week for the last 2 months, if that ups even to 2lb a week I would be ecstatic....will let you know xx

Sweetcorn is just a free food as you have above Butt3rb34n. Baby sweetcorn is a Speed food, but Garlic & pomegranate aren't I'm afraid they are free only :D
 
TwinkleToes - I'm amazed you think your daily lists are short!!!!!! Last one I counted 14 or 15 speed foods in one day - wonder how many you'd eat to compile a long list? lol, :D

Now that's what I'd call a shortlist - although I have eaten several portions of most of the fruit items throughout the day. lol

Why do most people assume that blueberries are SS cos according to the book they're not. Whenever we mention SS in group someone always says they've had blueberries but they're not even a speedfood, nevermind SS.

I think because blueberries are known to be so beneficial people assume they are at the very least a speed food - wish they were ;)
