Starting again for the last time! It's going to be a long journey!

Got back from holiday yesterday afternoon. boy, it's good to be home! somehow 30 degrees every day and me don't go well together, so I'm a little sunburnt despite using factor 50, and pleased that it's cooler at home! That said, I didn't want rain - at least not with 7 loads of washing to do!

So I'm trying to get back on the wagon today, and thought I'd W.I. this morning to see what the damage is, and boy it's not good! Up to my heaviest ever now at 22st 5lbs! I'm going to give SW another go for now, and see if I can stick to plan properly.

So, my meal plan for today

Breakfast: 30g fruit loops (6 syns), 150ml 1% fat milk (3 syns)

Snack: 2 satsumas (SF), maoam giant stripe (5 syns)

Lunch: celery (SF), cucumber (SF), carrots (SF), lettuce (SF), spring onions (SF), peppers (SF), 40g lighter cheese (HExA), pasta (Free)

Dinner: beef (Free), frylight (Free), rice (Free), mixed veg (SF)

Total syns: 14

might have a couple of slices of WM bread with my lunch, as otherwise HExB will be missing! Need to do some better planning!

Thinking of changing WI's to once a month, so next WI 23rd august. Aiming for 7lbs a month. :)

I don't do well in the heat either haha. Hope you had a good time on holiday though!! :)

Shall be checking in to see how you are getting on with SW - best of luck x

wow, it sure is quiet! not convinced it's a sw day cos of having to eat breakfast on the go this morning. had to leave the house at 7am for my son's autism assessment, so now have to wait to hear the results. so a cc day for me - aiming for 2000.

breakfast: choc chip brioche (200), small scotch pancake (60)
snack: hot chocolate (125), traybake (300)
lunch: tinned vegetable soup (150), 1 slices bread (100), banana (70)
dinner: homemade lasagne (400), broccoli (50)
treat: lemon cupcake (300), glass of red wine (200)
Total: 1955

I really need to give up the alcohol and chocolate - oh well, maybe when it's all gone :p

I hope you get the results of the autism assessment quickly - so your son can get the help he needs, either way.

I feel like I have had chocolate today but it must be the sweetness of the muffin I just had haha. x

might have to have a go at breakfast muffins sometime. i have a recipe somewhere, just need to get organised first. can't believe i'm still not unpacked properly! but then again, i was out most of weds and 1/2 of today! hopefully i'll be sorted by the end of the weeked :fingerscrossed:

but definately got to give up the choccie habit because 1. when a bar is started, i can't stop, and 2. if i have hot chocolate i find it goes best with 2-3 biscuits, which has been known to be more like 10-12! no hot choc = no desire for dunking! = no biscuits needed. so from tomorrow no more choccie for me (can't start today, cos of my hot choc & traybake). no alchohol will have to wait - there's still 3/4 bottle of lush red wine, and some cider to go! but i'll at least not buy any more! ;)

green day:

b/fast: 2 weetabix (HExB), milk (HExA), banana (SF), low fat yoghurt (1.5)
snack: 1/2 lemon muffin (9), orange tango (3), 2 sweets (1.5)
lunch: savoury rice (free), peppers (SF), carrots (SF), 2 satsumas (SF)
dinner: sw quiche: eggs, veg, milk & cheese (HEA+B), broccoli (SF), green beans (SF)

Total: 15

Looks like a good food-day you have planned out! Hope you have a good start to the weekend lovely :) x

Good morning! Feeling refreshed today. Best night's sleep in a long time :), and the boy's in my family are out today at a railway, so just me & my daughter left. Been able to get loads done so far, and it's not even lunchtime!

So food today: (Green day)

B/fast: 30g strawberry squares cereal (7 syns), 125ml milk (HExA), low fat yoghurt (1.5 syns)
Lunch: 1/3 SW quiche (HExA, plus free & SF foods), carrots (SF), 1/2 pack savoury rice (Free), 85g ham (HExB)
Dinner: tin spaghetti (Free), 2 WM bread (HExB) toasted, margarine (1 syn), 2 satsumas (SF)
Snack: banana (SF)

Total syns: 9.5

Yesterday (Sunday) was a CC day cos of being at in-laws. Was going to have soup for lunch (from a tin), but the tin opener is still at my house, after borrowing it for the holiday! So clocked in yesterday on 2000 calories, which managed to include a slice of indulgent rasperry cheesecake (395 calories  )

From my breakfast options today, I conclude today will be another CC day.

Breakfast: oatso simple breakfast biscuits (232)
Snack: 2 cornish cherry scones (490), margarine (39)
Lunch: carrot & coriander soup (166)
Dinner: 2 tikka coated chicken wings (260), boiled potatoes (100), carrots (20), green beans (40)

Total for day: 1597

Hope you've had a good day. :D

Unfortunately, I have to say yesterday was a rather disaster filled day because my son was in one of his stubborn awkward moods all day, and nothing could snap him out of it. I had to take my daughter to speech & language yesterday, and he was to stay in the car with Nannie, but once I had gone into the appointment, he could be heard screaming etc., and largely continued like this all day. Mainly cos he's overtired again, but refuses to accept sleep. We ended the evening at A&E cos he got an infection cos of scratching insect bites, til they went all puss-filled, and blistery, and I couldn't get a GP appointment. Suprise, surprise!

Otherwise managed to just about stick to food plan. Hopefully today will be better. Got his educational psychologist coming this morning, so feeling the pressure of getting tidied up quickly! I haven't worked out food plan for today yet entirely, but have concluded that my cereal choice today will not even count partially as a HEx, so calorie counting again today!

Breakfast: 90 strawberry square cereal (422), milk (60), yoghurt (100)

That portion of cereal shocked me by the weight & calories! It was about the same volume as 40-45g rice krispies, and definately not worth the extra calories!
Will think about what I'm having to eat for the rest of the day later, once our visitor has gone!

Oh dear, sounds like a bit of a stressful one yesterday! Hope things go well with the educational psychologist. *fingers crossed*

I'm thinking of joining Slimming World but not entirely sure just yet as I doubt I could make any of the classes nearby once I start my post-grad in a few weeks.

tbh i've never attended a slimming world class. just got a book from my mum, and get all other info from mini's. I'm trying to combine sw and cc cos sw allows far too much free food in my opinion. honestly, i don't think these people realise how much pasta/potatoes i could eat given half a chance! also, if i just do cc i tend to eat more junk than if attempting sw. At the end of the day it's up to you, but I'm sure you'll make the choice that's right for you. :)

i got my exam results through, and was suprised, and a little disappointed at the same time. My pure maths result was 64%, which was a grade 3 pass. I know I only needed 40% to pass, and 50% to progress on to the next level, so that seems ok from that point, BUT I had been getting 80%-90% in my TMA's, and was on track for a distinction (or grade 1 pass) so am trying hard to accept my fate.
On my stats maths I got 72%, which surprised me because stats isn't my strongest point in maths, so I'd expected lower than my pure maths result. This got me a grade 2 pass, which was the highest I could get given my TMA's anyway. So happy with this one! :D

Still not convinced I'm ready to start this OU parlava again next month though!

Oh, and ed psy went ok. She videoed me & my son playing games together. I was thinking frustation would be ok, but we ended up playing yahtzee! And I won, and there were no tears! :)

Been a busy couple of days, and eating is a little erratic. Hope to get back on track tomorrow (no point today as I know there's a rather indulgent bday cake for me later). What's happened? Well, on Tuesday my hubby got home from work and tried to park the car, but the handbrake was having none of it, so he took it to his mum's house (she has a level parking area, whereas we are on a hill) and left it there. Ironically, the handbrake went on fine, but we are not moving it to be on the safe side. So now we are looking for a new car, which means a trip to the bank soon to try and get a loan. :( But no other option really. Our current car was bought 4 yrs ago ar Β£4000 and we have spent over Β£10,000 in repairs for it. It has to go!

Also on Wednesday we were offered a new house. Benefits: 3 bedrooms, so the children could have a room each. Disadvantages: A living room half the size of the one in my current house, bearing in mind it has to be used as a dining room as well as a lounge. The kitchen only has space for 3 appliances, so we would have to put 2 appliances under the stairs, as well as our filing cabinet. The loft was tiny. The garden was minimal. We would not have a porch, like we do here, and lose 3 sheds worth of space. If we moved we would have to discard 75% of our personal possesions to live there. And I would have to walk the children 3/4 milk up a steep hill every day for the school bus regardless of the weather, and this sounds less than pleasant especially in the heavy rain, or in icy/snowy conditions. So, after much consideration, we have decided to stay put for now! An extra bedroom really isn't worth losing that much space for.

Sounds like you made the right decision on the house front!! Hope you manage to get a new car sorted out.
