Stig's Slim Fast Diary

Well done.. I try and 'down' a glass of water while making a cuppa if thats what I fancy, or diet coke in the evening is my thing. So by getting my water out of the way I don't have to feel bad! Leaving a bottle of water on your sideboard also helps as it's so blooming cold out at the moment! lol

Keep up the great work! :D

On the case of the water, thank you purple hugs.

Okay I have done it, I have tried the Lemon Meringue ready made shake for breakfast; verdict did not like the smell but then drunk it and it is very sweet but that could also be because I have not had anything sweet for a while. I did like it and will buy some for Saturdays. As it was much more runny than my shakes made with ice, I was worried it would not fill me but it did.
I have set a few short term goals. These are based on the fact that I am in the early days of the diet and should still loose for a couple of weeks. If not I will readjust them.
Goal One: 7th Feb down to 11 Stone
Goal Two: 21 Feb down to 10 stone 10lbs (Rome)

I am also only going to put my weight lose down on a Monday, I have lost a little this week but will not put it on my profile until Monday. I will still weigh myself every day as it does make me feel save.
Will have to think of goals further along the road as I know I come to a plateau that can last weeks with no lose, has to be a realistic goal that will keep me going.

Well, about an hour or so after the shake I was so hungry I had to eat. I think the ready made filled me short term but did not last back to shake and ice I guess the ice fills me up, like drinking water.

Oh well everybody is different. Did you manage to stick to tour average cals xx

i make my shakes with a milkshake blender type thing and it makes almost a pint of shake with all the froth. i have noticed the one time i had to make one with a handwhisk when i was at a friends house, it was well under a pint and i felt really hungry. I think the air bubbles make you feel fuller maybe?

I love frothing it up like this! Couldn't picture having it any other way :0) x

Not feeling the best at the moment, have been really good and have put on a pound! I will not let it break my diet but I do feel all that good work put in for that kind of result, Official weigh in is Monday so will keep everything crossed. The only thing I can think of is water, does anybody use water tablets, if so are they any good? Onwards and upwards (well down in weight).

I have used them but to be honest I would stay clear. They started to give me pretty bad water infections. I was so bad once it felt like I was in labour! It's jut a temporary fix drinking lots of water has the same effect :0) x

Yes hand whisks don't do it for me.
Thank you Yummy Mummy, it is really hitting me the importance of water, as you can see it has been a running theme throughout my posts this week, if I had been stronger and actually made more effort and drunk more I might have lost more. So since your post I have had two glasses and will continue today. Thanks again

No problem, keep glugging and imagine it's like acid burning your fat away :0) x

Forgot to get Barley water but will give it a shot tomorrow; I did drink a lot more water today and I changed my meals around. I have a feeling my weight loss is not going to be good with so much effort so I took myself into town and looked at clothes and pictured myself in them (when weight has gone), it has kept me motivated at least for tonight.

Going to get some tasty foods today after reading Kazzy's diary fancy some garlic, onions and tomatoes, yummy. I might buy a pair of boots to get my new me outfit started, I need something comfy for Rome anyway.

Well spent lots but not on me, they just didn't have the boots I wanted so bought some stuff to do up my sons room.
Feeling flat weight in and have only lost 1 1/2 lb in a week, not great since I really have been good. Perhaps it is because I lost good in the first week, I know a lose is a lose and will keep that in mind and stick with it and hopefully next week will be a bit better!

I lost 1.5 this week to, I think it's a good amount, I'm Happy with a pound a week youahould e proud x

Thanks guys. Trying to be more active this week as I know my eating is good. Not really helping my poor son keeps being of school. I am even shopping quicker, mind that means I get to more shops and spend more money; I will be broke by Friday.(shame I don't do the housework that fast)

Had a good day so far not enough exercise but food wise good. Having a lot of veggies and quorn sausages baked in the oven with garlic and herbs, cooked for a long time, feels I am getting a lot of food but low calories. Have also found Tesco Light Choices mini pretzels, very nice great when you want to fill a whole.
