Surfhunny's Countdown to Florida

I had a dodgy weekend which I'll report back bout in my diary when I get home. Hubs driving the a66 pennine route to scotch corner right now.

Hope you had decent weather Nikki, it's gorgeous here at the moment!

I'm reading yet another self-help book. It's called Only Fat People Skip Breakfast by Lee Jangoly. I've read another one of her books but this is hilarious. It's honest and common sense. Rubbing expensive cream into your thighs is no more effective at removing cellulite as cheap cream, it doesn't work!! Things like that. At the end is the Bingers Psalm, hopefully you'll be able to read it from the picture.

Anyway ive definitely identified my problem!! I'm not an overwater, overeaters graze and pick all day long on bad things, Bingers can go all day or even several days being good eating healthily then one evening binge. I never ever binge before tea, it's always after, it never occurs to me to binge earlier in the day. Interesting!!!

I'm laid in the sun and all I can smell is bbqs all around me, but it's lovely and isn't bothering me in the slightest!! I'm not about to spark up the barbie for one 120g chicken breast lol

Yep not a cloud in the sky apart from the vapour trails from the planes, it's gorgeous, slight breeze to keep it cool!

it's freezing :( the sun is out but i'm in my leggings, thermal top and jumper. posted in my diary bout my strange body!

I love "Only fat people skip breakfast" I read it a few years ago, followed her advice re giving up sugar etc and lost quite a bit of weight but as usual for me went back to my old eating habits and the weight went back on, but once I hvae finished CD this time I am going to follow her advice, once again, and keep reading the book whenever I feel like I'm slipping. The part where she talks about "naturally slim" people is so true, overweight people seem to think that its unfair the "some" people can eat whatever they want and stay slim, but in fact naturally slim people do watch what they eat, and if they overeat on a special occasion cut back at other times without even thinking about it. When I read the book i could identify myself in so many of the scenarios!

Hi Sal,

Happy Easter -- PMSL at the quote!

It is lovely here in Cambridge, too. I think I will shop and plan for a BBQ for tomorrow. We need to make the most of the lovely days.

Sorry it is not so nice where you are Nikki.

MM

Me and Nikki only live about 15 miles apart lol, but the weather can be completely different in the two places:)

LOL -- When I first moved to the UK someone told me, "If you do not like the weather: wait five minutes or drive five miles!"

It can be so true.

This is related to dieting in a round about way. I'm just watching a Sex Education show with Anna Richardson, I really wish we'd had this kind of sex education at school because our sex ed was cr@p, basically it was how to put a condom on a banana. This programme is showing different bodies and how they're all normal, I think if I'd known that when I was 15/16 I wouldn't have quite as many body image hang ups as I do now. I also wish that I'd known that you can't really get it wrong, I spent so much time worrying about doing it wrong. Now it's a lot different, I guess it's things you realise as you get older but I kind of wish that'd been programmes like this when I was learning about it.

I'm pretty sure if I'd had more exposure to normal human bodies like this programme is doing for teens I wouldn't have had an eating disorder as a teenager and become a big fat binge eater as an adult. Because I wasn't fat I was normal, but I always thought I was fat!

Right plan for tomorrow....

Breakfast
chocolate shake

Lunch
Bar

Tea
K spag bol

I'm going out with my dad and brother tomorrow for the day so I'll have to be a bit careful about too much water!

Hi Sal,

Sorry it is not so nice where you are Nikki.

MM

it's been sunny here since we got home from the lakes. next door's teens were sat out with friends over, music, drinks and enjoying the sun. just i'm cold. bit of a breeze. i think that i'm nearer the coast.

Not as close as me, I can see the sea from my bedroom window lol. The breeze was cold but my back garden is nice and sheltered so it was really nice, not too hot not too cold! Inside my house is another story, it's been freezing inside all day, I almost put the heating on it's that cold.

that's nice. :D our closest is seaton. bout 15 mins max down the road.

Hi Sal,

Sunny here today -- but a bit breezy. I hope you are having a good Bank Holiday (and did not get called in to work).
