Surfhunny's Countdown to Florida

@Nikki -- Sorry to hear about your uncle.

@Sal -- My sister was complaining about her new scrubs, "They're green... I look awful in green." I replied, "Ah, but it is my favourite colour. So, take a photo of you in it and send it to me -- then one of us will be happy about the new uniforms." She did not appreciate my input. ;(

I've been watching Steps Reunion and now The Hangover, phone has been on charge.

Hope your uncle is okay Nikki!! I'm too paranoid to use eBay, the only times I've ever had viruses on my computer was after I'd been on eBay :(

The uniforms are so goddam awful, they're unisex so the guys look like gay sailors and the girls look like make-up counter ladies. Not a good look on any of us. My scrubs on the other hand are nice :) they're pale blue, and well made (unlike the uniforms which have been made by blind pygmies with three fingers).

I've only just remembered to have my last shake, I finished all my water earlier on but forgot the last shake until just now. But I've had it so all is well.

hee hee -- forgot to eat... yay ketosis! :)

I think that the £500 would be money well-spent. You have worked hard to get to where you are now. If that extra qualification is needed to work at leisure centres, etc, then you have to get it. It's quite literally an investment in your future.

Money is so tight right now, for most people. My son is furious at eBay because he sells so little and yet is charged £10 per month in fees. You could always list your stuff on Gumtree; no idea if they charge - if not, you could be on to a winner.

All the very best with the Zumba business. You absolutely deserve to succeed x

Morning Sal!

I hope that you slept well and will have a wonderful day.

Thanks. I've got an ad in gumtree for Zumba. Might just list my running pram on there. It's free. Might see if I can put an ad up in my gym too.

Think I might just be in ketosis. Bad gammy mouth taste and I've woken feeling thirsty but not hungry.

YAY... now you know any losses will be off the body and not out of the liver! ;) Burn, baby, burn!!!

sneeky scales peak..... 4lbs gone. only problem i have is that no visit to the loo has happened since sunday. think i'm going to have to take something or else it'll end up being in pain.

That's great on the loss, not so much on the other. You know what you need to do to sort it.

Well done on your loss so far!! I'm too scared to look, I'll just wait until wi tomorrow. I haven't misbehaved so I'm hoping for a good loss to get me going! I'd love a repeat of the 13lbs in a week from last month but will settle for anything around the 10lb mark.

Yesterday I tidied the house from top to bottom, so today, as the weather is still lovely I'm going to tackle the lawns, hopefully that'll be the last time they'll need cutting this year. I've left it a bit long, it's probably been a good month since they were last done, so it's going take a while.

Nikki take something before it gets too bad and painful. X

OMG -- I have only ever lost that much in one week two times: once in 1991 (when I have birth to my 9lb 4 oz son) and the other in 1999 (when I gave birth to my 10 lb 2 oz daughter). That is an amazing loss!

I am pleased (even when it is the first week of SS) to lose five pounds, then after the first week it is a slow trek at the rate of 1 to 3 per week.

I know is was a total fluke! Shame I didn't keep it off or I'd have a lot less to lose now :( I gained 9lbs of it back on by the time I saw my CDC for the first time - mind you it was an evening WI with my cdc and I usually weigh in the mornings- so it might not have been as big a gain as that.

Still incredible. Esp, since you aren't really all that big. A really heavy person might have a loss like that -- but for someone your size that is amazing.

Thanks Mel. I've just been out to cut the grass and man what a struggle! My lawnmower is in it's last legs (a hand me down from dad) it's one of those flymo compact things that's meant to hover but it doesn't if theres more than two blades of grass in the grass box :( next year I'm going to buy one with wheels. My back garden is on a slight hill and it's so hard to mow. Grrr rant over! At least it was exercise!

I'm off to sit outside to make the most of this weather, and because it's too hot to sit inside yay!! :D taking my water and shake with me.

Fab attitude. We have a Flymo... do not use it. We bought a petrol mower. We found the Flymo a hassle. It was novel, but not practical.

God knows what my neighbours thought with all the swearing that was coming from me, I want a petrol mower but it would need to be a smallish one. We'll see next year.

I'm just watching 'I Used to be Fat' on MTV, the girl on there is totally getting on my nerves! She's 18 years old & 250lbs, which is what weight I was when I first started. She's totally fighting against her trainer, not following her prescribed diet, her mum keeps buying her junk food to keep her happy. Then she b!tches because she only lost 1lb in 2 weeks.

She's got a trainer and nutritionalist everyday for 90 days, I'd kill for that!!

Oopsy late again with my last shake, I winder if this is why I've still got raging insomnia?

your garden is very compact looking. we've a massive front and a large back. i tend to fill 4 bags when i recycle my grass cuttings. was going to link a google map but i need to download something right now. argh!

Google Maps red car is hubby's, silver one is our old honda.
