Surfhunny's Countdown to Florida

Bloody hell it must be hot!! I'm in ketosis and I'm sweating buckets just sitting here. Not looking forward to going to work in an hour where it'll be roasting!! :(

i've been hot and bad! :( had a little wine (very naughty, my aunt's here from london and my dad's popped off on hols for a week) so ..... and nuts...... no carbs!

weigh in monday so i'm sure i'll be accountable then. only had 2 shakes today too. decided that a) i've been naughty and that b) i just don't feel hungry for my other 2. so i thought i'd scrap back some cals there.

pauline's got to get the go-ahead from the big office first. i hoping it goes ahead. we'll do some team teaching first then i'll take over. good thing is that i'm also gold trained so can do that if that is what the class needs, little lower impact or mix basic and gold.

Well work was so so hot last night, and incredibly busy, we definitely earned our pennies. My bum didn't hit a chair until 3am, and shift started at 7pm. Even then it was on for 5 minutes. On the plus side the time passed really quickly, there was no junk food brought in and I didn't even think about food!!

I've suffered all night with really bad sinus pain, but I've been to the chemist this morning and I'm loaded up on decongestants and painkillers. Going to have a nice nap on the sofa and catch up with last nights X-Factor. A proper lazy Sunday.

I've taken myself to bed, it's so nice to get into my own bed after a night shift!! There's no better feeling :) I'm nit really that tired it's just that I've discovered laying flat actually helps my sinuses drain (tmi) so there's less pressure in my face and less pain.

Hi Sal,

I liked that your night went fast and you were not tempted by food, but I disliked that your sinuses were bothering you. If your gym has a steam room and you have time -- I find that always helps me with my sinuses.

I have no time and no car today :( to make my life even more miserable I think I've got an abscess on my tooth, my tooth doesn't hurt but I've got a really painful lump on my gum near the root  so it's off to the dentist for me tomorrow! I'm terrified of the dentist, it's a completely irrational fear but I get quite hysterical before I go. I'm so so scared

Hi Sal --

I am so sorry about the tooth. A lot people are afraid of the dentist. It is not all that irrational -- the noise is frightening and there is almost always pain involved.

Good luck tomorrow.

Mel

Thanks Mel! Actually until I was 23 I was absolutely fine with dentists but I had a really bad experience with my first filling and since then I'm a quivering, hysterical wreck :( I'm hoping this isn't an abscess and I don't need treatment. I guess I'm really lucky not to get stinky keto-breath, so at least that's one less thing to worry about.

almost always pain involved.

me too. scary. i've had an absess. antibiotics were given but it had gone too far and my tooth cracked into 3. i now have a nice gap at the front. :(

i've also had 1 root canals and 2 crowns. root canal was horrific. not getting it done as i was out of it, but the infection i got a couple of days later which caused me so much pain that i couldn't cope. paracets, volterol and tramadol as well as antibiotics.

Hoping mine (if that's what it is) hasn't gone too far, I've only really had symptoms for two days. It's not mega painful yet, but I've had one before and that was horrific!! I'm hoping its not too bad and I just need antibiotics and at worst a filling

Mine was bad for weeks. I was studying in brum at the time. Every night I couldn't sleep the pain from my ear down my jaw was horrific. I used to put a hot water bottle on it to it try to stop the pain. After 2 weeks I went home for the break and saw my dentist who gave my antibiotics but after a few days the whole tooth broke into 3! I'd left it too long but didn't realise. Had to be put to sleep for it to come out. The space is smaller in my mouth as my wisdom teeth were pushing through but I still have a space :( just don't leave it too long. You'll probably find with antibiotics it will clear up!

I rang as soon as they opened this morning, I'm paranoid about anything to do with my teeth, I think it's because I'm just so terrified of the dentist, I do everything possible to avoid having to have treatment. I can't stop thinking about it! I'll be glad when it's 11:30 tomorrow and I've been in.

Me, too.
