Surfhunny's Countdown to Florida

Morning sal I've just read the last few posts and am I glad to hear you say 'Now' that you are feeling a difference in your weight and body . It's working and your doing all of this by yourself sweetie.

Aww I'm well chuffed for ya. Xxx

Also I'm glad you talked to your boss too, try not to think about work. Now and what others might be saying, you must rest.. X

Oh my days, how unfit can a person become in 5 weeks??? My legs (both of them!!!!) are stiff as a board today!! All I can think of is the 10 mins on the exercise bike and 3 mins WALKING on treadmill at physio yesterday!!!!

I'm so glad I went into work yesterday because it's put an end to my paranoia!! My boss has this snide way of saying thing behind your back and I'd convinced myself the whole department would be thinking I'm a fraud and just nicking off work. In reality people couldn't be more supportive, telling me not to come back before I'm ready etc etc. One of my close colleagues (LG) who also has him as a line manager said he hasn't stepped up to sort out my on call cover, he's just relied on people volunteering.

I'm on call next week and no-one has volunteered to cover any of it. As manager it should fall to him to cover in that instance but he doesn't do on call for 'medical reasons' so it'll be interesting to see what happens!! LG is going to text me to fill me in because it might be time he falls flat on his face!!! It annoys me that he gets paid for doing chuff all management wise, he uses his position to belittle people. LG picks up the slack for him, and now she's stopped doing it, I'm not there and no one else knows how too, hopefully it'll all come and bite him in the butt!!

Right I'm going to have a good tidy of the house today. The bathroom is almost done so the bits that have been tracked through the house can finally be hoovered up!!! And I can have a bit of normality returned to my environment......that is if I can get my legs to function!!

Hey hon

Thought I'd replied to you from my phone app earlier but it must not have gone through :(

Great to hear about your boss being so supportive .. it's such a relief isn't it? Apparently your muscles decondition by like 4% a day so not only are you having to rehab from your injury now but also from the deconditioning so no wonder you are sore hon!

I'm lucky in a way that all my colleagues are in Scotland or Northern Ireland (my team anyway) so don't have any contact with them at all. I've heard nothing that is going on in the business so feel totally removed from it... although I do have an "inside source" and have heard our MD was moved sidewards (either that or be sacked apparently), there is a huge amount of change going on, redundancies in other teams etc.. and I haven't been told a word of this at all!!

Hehe , you replied on my thread! Lol

I don't like feeling deconditioned lol, I feel like an old woman! Despite it all I've managed to tidy up and I'm so glad to have most of my house back to normal. :D

you might just be a bit stiff. you'll be fine when you get to it. :)

That's all it feels like, stiffness. Feels like I've done a bloody good leg workout, that kind of feeling as opposed to damage lol.

Stupid bloody Mars Bar advert, I want one now.... The powers of advertising are not enough to convince me to hobble to the shop to get one though so there Mars!!!! :p

what's that?????? don't eat bars of stuff any more. sometimes pick a kids size one up from the fridge but this is rare. did it the other day when i got a strange period thing happen and had a sudden mega intensive NEED for chocolate. chouldn't get enough of it.

I used to be a total chocolate fiend but up until yesterday it hasn't entered my head for weeks. If I hadn't had those bloody Rolos last night I wouldn't even be thinking about it now :(

dam chocolate. they should tax it big time. if we had to pay £10 for a bar of chocolate we wouldn't eat it. it's the government and chocolate companys' fault that we eat it and get fat. they should pay for tummy tucks and lipo

My cousin mentioned to me the other day that clothes shops have started selling sweets and junk like that. What's that all about? Surely by doing this they're encouraging obesity and doing themselves out of customers!!

are they? which shops are those? i don't go into them obviously. mind if you shop online you can avoid it :)

New Look def does, I think Top Shop was what she was on about.

It just seems a very bizarre thing to do!! I can't understand the reasoning behind it.

they can sell more clothes as the one's they've just sold to the person scoffing chocs won't fit them for long. i think chocolate is addictive as is dorritoes. they must put something in them so that you need more. i know it was on the news about pringles.

I saw a programme about how they made Pringles and it's terrible, it's not even real food, it's all just chemicals created in a lab, specially designed to make you keep wanting more! Once You Pop You Can't Stop lol.

How come I can be falling asleep on the sofa but as soon as I get into bed - wide awake? :( Not another night of insomnia :( :( :(
