I would have to break the person apart so I could eat the candy bars that I like! LOL

i would just chomp through it. mind i hate fudge and i hate nougat.

Well what a day this has turned out to be!! I had first shake at about 10am, determined to be better with my time keeping today. But then everything went pearshaped!!!

My gran has had a tumble and knocked her leg, she's on blood thinners so it wouldn't stop bleeding. She called the district nurse to come see her and my mum. Dad was busy with my bathroom so I took mum. Have just got in 20 minutes ago, had second shake then and need to fit in my third soon. I'm behind on my water only had a litre, but I'm not having a repeat of last night with trips to the loo every half hour, so I'm not having much more, it's tough!! I'll take the weight consequences on the chin!

Anyway, my gran is okay, just a bit stiff with a sore. As luck would have it my cousin and his girlfriend are travelling from Newcastle to Wrexham and decided to stay over at our grans tonight, to make sure she's okay. My other cousin lives in the next street too so she's got family close by.

So that's my day!! On the plus side the bathroom is done, just a few bits of titivating to do - the woodwork needs staining and glossing, blinds need to go up and shower head needs to go back up. But it looks amazing!! I'm very pleased with it!! Thanks Daddy!!

i think our generation are pretty poor DIYers. my dad's brill too. i think that he would have loved to have done a whole house up. hubby's dad used to do building work and is very handy. BIL is a plasterer. mum's next door neighbour is a nurse her son is an electrician. the otherside but one he was an accountant for the fire brigade. woman cross from my mum is another nurse. chap over the road from me is an architect and plans extensions. i'm a teacher and a musician and hubby is a computer programer. don't really know what anyone else does in our estate though. a friend of mine is a photographer, another friend is a physotherapist (sp), i've a chiropractor friend another few teacher friends. crazy world. :) small world all in all.

I'm quite happy to try my hand at DIY because I figured out a long time ago that it's easier to get dad to bail me out of a project than it it getting him to do it for me from the beginning.

My brother on the other hand is completely useless at all that kind of thing lol. I think my Dad is dreading the day he moves out, 3 houses to maintain is a lot of work ;)

I'm going to say goodnight gang, after last nights late one and all the to-do of today I'm shattered. Nighty night all xx

I hope so too! Just been for last trip to loo and brush teeth and it's only bloody snowing!!! Too wet to come to anything I hope!!

i'm up and down all night usually but last night i wasn't went from 11pm to 6.30am which is not me. i'm usually up around 1am, 4am and finally 6.30am and this is the time where i can't get back to sleep.

i think 6.30am is my usual get up time now. i should have taken the day and got up and gone out with the hound dog. just enjoyed laying in bed too much then ems came in and cuddle up. :) saying loads of sweet things to me. i love you mummy. mind she did draw all over the landing wall last night. if it wasn't desperate for decoration it is now. i think friday is going to be a get pain and paint the hall stairs and landing job. luckily it's just the lower part as the top part still has wallpaper on. however, i could do with spending a couple of hundred and get the paper stripped off professionally and then re-papered and painted again.

mind the kids or hubby have wrecked my whole house bit by bit. the whole house needs painting in some way or form.

anyway, i diverted from your dairy entry.

have a great CD day.

Morning Sal... I hope you slept well.

@Nikki -- When my son coloured on the wall, I made him do his best to scrub it off. He never did it again -- and has lived to be 19! If you are going to paint anyway, I would suggest that you have her give it a good scrubbing. If they learn that they are creating work FOR THEMSELVES they tend to be a lot less messy. ;)

she's scrubbed walls mel, she's scrubbed chairs. she just doesn't learn. her room was messy so i painted it. 2 days later and on one small part of the wall she's crayoned on it. it's scrubbable paint though so i'm lucky. just going to do the house in scrubbable paint now.

Oooohhhhh -- You have your hands full with this one. Tough cookie, eh?

My mom got a big roll of paper -- wide roll -- it could be brown wrapping paper or a plain butcherblock (Ikea sells these) and taped it all along the walls in the play room from the base boards to the middle of the wall (higher than we could reach -- about twice around) -- and told us that we could colour on the walls in this room, and this room only. She made sure that we had crayons and no permanent markers. I think I was about 3 when she did this, so my sisters were 5 and 6.

It worked. You got caught colouring anywhere but the playroom -- you not only had to clean it, you had no dessert but had to watch everyone else enjoy theirs (food issues, eh?).

Just a thought. My mom was a "if you can't beat them (legally ;) ) -- then work out a compromise kind of mom".

she said my beige walls were too boring so a bright red crayon was used.

common surf... where are you today????? hope you're ok! it's BOB time tonight. not long now :D hubby's taken devil child to the cinema to see tangled. i'm at home with poopy dudey boy. been pooping loads. think his tummy's a bit on the dodgy side. maybe it's the orange juice and senna i've given him the past few days as his constipation was bad! nursery says that there's a sickness and poo bug going round and he could have this. keep an eye on him. i hope he's not got that but they recon it's a 24 hour thing and this is the 2nd day of pooping. when i say pooping i mean escaping poop too.
