Not been keeping up with my food diary for the last few days, still sticking to plan though. I've been too busy being in shock from the terrible news that I received this week, a very good friend who now lives in Adelaide, has had a stroke and a massive brain hemorrhage and is currently in a medically induced coma, it's times like this that the distance hits home, I can't just jump in the car and visit and I'd like to be there for her but I can't be :(. I'm hoping and praying she will pull through this. It makes you think, we can't be sure of what's in store for us, anything could happen, we need to appreciate what we have got.

Hi suzyflo, sorry to hear your terrible news, I really hope your friend gets through it. I had my moment of feeling that life is so fragile and changeable a couple of weeks back when Nevin Spence died along with his brother and father; knocked me sideways. Keep appreciating what you have got and keep praying for her.

Whoa Quins, chill! What you angry about? Time of the month, for a bloke? Maybe not. Don't worry about the spelling, it can happen when there's so much in the head to be said but fingers can't keep up. I'm used to it now :D It is one of my pet hates but for you I can let it go, in fact I quite like the spelling, it makes me smile!

Hi Quins, I'm doing ok thanks, been to weigh in tonight and have maintained at 10st 3.5lb so I'm very pleased with that.

Re my friend, I had a chat with her ex husband the other day, he has moved from Sydney to Adelaide to look after her. I haven't heard anything for a few days but she has improved a little, she is breathing on her own and has been brought out of the coma, she has had a blood clot removed from her brain and her heart stopped a few times during the op, the medics are no longer considering it as a stroke but as a cerebral bleed and can find no cause or reason for it. Unfortunately she currently has no speech and no movement on the right side of her body and is very frustrated as a result of this, it is unsure when/if this will improve, I hope and pray she will be ok, I try to remain hopeful :)

I really hope she improves. The head coach at my sons college suffered a similar thing, wasn't expected to survive but made it through and is back to work . He gave a lecture to us parents with kids who were looking at being pro players and the weight of expectation and the amount of failure and disappointment we would have to support our kids through. However, he told us about how his world was turned upside down, how he wasn't expected to pull through plus if he did make it what disabilities he was expected to have. Basically he ended up telling us all to put things in perspective. He is obviously extremely lucky and he knows it. Lets hope and pray your friend does make the fullest recovery. It does put things in perspective. Keep it going Suzyflo.

Thanks Quins, that story has made me feel more positive for her, I think they are looking to mover her from the hospital to the rehab unit fairly soon so hopefully when that happens she will start to make some progress.

I'm doing ok thanks Quins, still maintaining, happy birthday to Mrs Quins, glad you've had a good time but I think we'll have less of this wonky business! lol, back on the straight and narrow for you...only kidding, 2lb on is nothing, you'll soon shift it :)
