Sybersadie's Diary

Hi sybersadie I'm just catching up with your diary your doing amazingly well & the plan good, like you I've started eating a protein low carb dinner & doing ok so far but will know for sure on Sunday when I have my weigh in, like you I've only been having 2 packs & a meal & sometimes the hunger defo steps in ! its all abit trial & error for me but still on track, wishing you a lovely Easter :)

Hi Bronte,

It's been great adding in the low carb protein based dinners this week, but I have def been struggling with the hunger in the evenings. Last night I ended up off track a little as my OH tempted me with a hot cross bun, which I had and then later regretted as I felt really bloated for the rest of the evening :( I should have had a hot cross bun bar instead  It may have been a timely lesson though. I'm hoping remembering the uncomfortable feeling will keep me from straying off the plan.

So, today the plan is shake for breakfast (gone), bar for lunch and seabass and roasted veggies for dinner. And when (not if) I get hungry this evening I will have a hot cross bun BAR, not the real thing :)

Have a good Easter :)

Have a great Easter!!
I bet you wish the hot cross bar was the real thing. I do.

I bet you wish the hot cross bar was the real thing. I do.

I did feel very bloated after eating a real hot cross bun the other day, and that is the only thing that is putting me off eating them :(

Yesterday was a struggle. Stuck to the plan but the house is filled with easter goodies - lindt bunnies, cadbury's creme egges, easter eggs for nieces and nephews - it just goes on, and it was really hard to resist just tucking in

Today is back to a TS day so I'm hoping being back on the strict routine will stop me from straying. Tomorrow is my last day of to 5:2 plan and is an eating day. It will be hard though as I know some of the easter goodies have been bought for me

Be interesting to see how you get on come weigh in day as I think I'll use a similar maintenance plan when I get close to goal.

I have stayed away from the chocolate, so far away in fact I have managed to leave it all behind at my house. Along with my Exante packs for this evening's dinner and for Monday. This is a bit of a problem

I do however have the food shopping that was bought for tomorrow, and my Dad's weekly Tesco order arrived not long after me so we will not starve tomorrow. But food wise for me today is not going well :(

My OH is going to bring up the easter goodies tomorrow along with my Exante packs so I will be fine for Monday - disaster averted

This evening I've made an omelette with a bit of salad. I just hope I don't get hungry later as there are mainly only carbs to be had in my Dad's cupboards o_O

Have a lovely time and the omelette should keep you full! If not drink water lol x

Well you've made a wise choice so far - good for you!!
Have a fab weekend.

Eggs are very filling so an omelette is a good choice. Veg like spinach and brocolli is super low calorie and carb too. I have low carb veg in my evening meal each night and still got a good loss.

So I managed to stay on track Saturday, despite no Exante supplies. Yesterday wasn't too bad - although I did succumb to the chocolate:oops:

Oops pressed post by mistake there...

Anyway yesterday food wise wasn't too bad although I did stray off track, but did so consciously and there were no uncontrolled eating binges.
I had planned on having a real food day anyway. For breakfast had scrambled eggs on home made soda bread, homemade soup (butternut squash, sweet potato, ginger and chilli) with more soda bread for lunch, and roast beef and veggies for dinner. All went to plan at dinner except I got nagged to make Yorkshires, so I did and then ended up eating one. No roast potatoes were made though - too much faffing.

So I dare say I have put a few pounds on, and now y'all know why I'm overweight! I like to cook and eat what I've made

I did stay away from the chocolate all day until the evening and then I succumbed to a Lindt bunny and a couple of glasses of red wine watching the prog on the Queen at 90.

I made a rational decision to eat what I did yesterday so I am not beating myself up about it.

I am unable to weight in today as I am still up at my Dad's with no scales. I dare say that's probably a good thing as I would probably be berating myself about yesterday's eating which I do not want to do. I am heading home this evening so will weigh in tomorrow and see what the damage is.

Anyhow, I am back on the wagon today and will be 100% TS from now until 22nd April. We go on holiday on 23rd.

Hope you were all better than me over the weekend :D

Ok so all caught up on everyone's diaries. It seems you have all been behaving around the chocolate over the Easter weekend except me ;)

But I did what I did consciously and controlled. I have to take a long view with this diet as family events, holidays, and celebrations are going to happen regardless and if I don't plan them in one of two things will happen. I will go off plan totally or there will be dissent and argument about me sticking too religiously to the diet. So, if I can keep to 100% TS between events and stuff then hopefully the scales will keep heading generally downwards.

1.5 ltrs of fizzy water gone, burp :D

You are doing brilliantly I'm just lucky to have avoided any family gatherings or outings so far but I'm only 4 weeks (tomorrow) in so will have to do as you have and adjust and you have done that brilliantly x

I think you're doing fab! And you've jumped straight back on TS so an damaged will soon disappear.

Thanks ladies. I've struggled each time I've had a planned change from 100% TS, each time with different things. I do know that doing the diet how I am is prolonging my time on it, but each time I've been off plan I have learned a lot about me and my food behaviour and where I need to be vigilant once all the weight comes off.
What I have learned so far is that I can make good choices when eating out, but when my OH is around and I am "doing my own version" of the diet I can be more easily convinced to stray off plan. Good lessons to learn!

That's why I like this diet it gives you space to find out about the things that are backing weight loss before or what your food issues are. I turn to food when bored. I need to be more active so that's my first lesson.
