Sybersadie's Diary

Had a nice evening thanks Darcy :)

A soak in the bath (to warm me up) then some TiVo'd Grand Designs property porn and a coke zero - I know how to push the boat out :p

Back to work for me this weekend. I have a BIG deadline on 22nd April so over the next 5 weeks everyday will be a work day from now on. The only planned day off is Easter Sunday, then it's off on holiday on 23rd for 2 weeks. I would like to say I can't wait, but I have mega amounts of work to do between now and then and I am hoping to lose a bit more weight too;)

Hope everyone has a good weekend :D

Ok, I need to work...

I have a huge pile of work to do this weekend too Sadie........but I'm making any excuse at the moment

Don't work too hard :)

Didn't work to hard as we were out on Saturday evening.

Yesterday took a time out to go clothes shopping - I have finally reached a smaller size but still had "nothing" to wear! Picked up a couple of work shirts and a smart pair of trousers - both a size smaller than I have been wearing lately.

A great NSV that has made up for a STS this week - which was to be expected given I had to go off plan twice in one week due to eating out.

This week is week 10 for me so I will be adding in an additional protein/salad based meal this week (from tomorrow) so that come Easter Sunday I can enjoy a family dinner - I am not cooking it if I can't eat it!

Great work for the smaller size. That's nice that you can have an Easter meal with family

So this week I am back to adding in extra food. The last time I did this (for week 5) it was because of a family get together and I did manage to put on 3lbs  But that went really quickly so was probably water weight.

However, this time, I am only adding in extra food for 5 out of 7 days this week, so it is more like a 5:2 fasting week. I am trying this for a couple of reasons, to see if doing 5:2 fasting works for me and to try and avoid any weight gain. So, yesterday was the first fast day and I stuck with 3 exante products. Today through to Friday I will be adding in an extra meal. Saturday will be a fast day so I will stick to 3 exante products and then Sunday I will add in an extra meal.

My goal for the week is to stay the same and not to weigh my self daily.

If this works when we go on holiday in 5 weeks time I plan to take some packs with me and see if I can stick to 5:2 fasting for the 2 weeks, exante style. Hopefully then the weight will stay off :)

Today is the first day of adding in food and I had planned cauliflower rice with a fried egg as well as my three packs. However my OH (who is on rest days this week and so at home and doing the cooking) has decided to buy steak for today's dinner. I know it was bought as a treat for me but

So, my food plans have changed for today o_O

I am now only having 2 packs (shake for breakfast and a bar for lunch), then I'll have the steak with salad for dinner tonight.

I know I will love it and as it is now all planned it should be able to stick with it and not go off plan - fingers crossed

I think you'll do well and it will be nice to introduce some food after so long eating packets.

So long as I stick to plan I will be fine - I've just got to keep to the plan :p

Sounds well thought out to me.
Not sure how I'd stick to it on holiday though.

The holiday won't be as hard as all that as we are going to our holiday home and catering for ourselves, no different than being at home. The hardest part is all the social eating we will be doing where food choices are out of my control. If I do 5:2 fasting so would have two full Exante days a week, then on my eating days have Exante for two meals and then try to make careful choices for dinner I would limit the damage o_O

Where are you good on holiday? I would 100% not be able to manage exante on holiday if it was hot and I could see an iced cocktail.
I'm trying to get a sneaky holiday booked, before my girl is 2 (free flights) but my husbands put off by all the recent news stories.

Have a good day! Enjoy your 3 meals

I didn't say I would be good, only that I might just be able to limit the weight gain damage :D

We are not going anywhere hot and I won't be drinking during the day. My downfall will be in the evenings when we are eating with friends and family and I won't always be in control of what gets cooked and put on my plate, or what gets poured into my glass. So, if I can have Exante for two meals a day and fast for two days each week while we are away I'm hoping that will limit the damage. I will also be trying to keep up the exercise too.

Yesterday went well. I stuck to plan and resisted the temptation to step on the scales.

The food plan for today is:
Shake for breakfast (gone)
Bar for lunch
Pan fried seabass and stir fried veggies for dinner

Have a good day everyone :)

I think that sound like a great holiday plan. Almost similar to what I'm thinking re maintenance if I get down to a healthy bmi and thinking of using 5:2 to control things.

Hope you had a good day yesterday and enjoyed your sea bass - sounded yummy!

I had a good day thank you Darcy, and the seabass was indeed yummy :) And, with just stir fried veggies quite good on the calorie front too (all logged into MFP).

As I was hungry later in the evening I ended up having another Exante bar. So yesterday's food was three Exante packs rather than two, as well as the fish and veggies.

Today I am planning to have two packs and dinner. I've had my usual shake for breakfast and bar for lunch. Dinner is a cheese and mushroom omelette with salad. If I feel hungry then I will have a third pack.

It's quite strange how just eating the three packs everyday I feel fine and not very hungry, if at all. But swapping out one pack for a sensible protein base dinner and the hunger just steps up a level :(

Still in control and going to plan at the moment though :)
