Syns 'n Stuff - My Daily Food Diary

Dear diary,
* sigh*

I pigged out last night. It started with syn free grazing in the kitchen, then went on to crisps, biscuits and chocolate.
Then I made some Sleepytime tea and went up to bed and read before going to sleep - like, as if nothing had happened. :(

Why??? Is it because I've had a splurge or two lately, and my body was just craving the bad stuff?

So I tried to start over today... but ran into trouble when I was out for lunch with the kiddos and my JP arrived buttered! Also, they were out of beans so I opted for tuna mayo. Still nibbled my kids food all day as well. I'm weighing in tomorrow morning and am expecting a gain, booooooo. Feeling deflated at the mo, but still determined to get myself back on track.

Here's my food...
Coffee, sparkle juice, apple, bite of jaffa cake, JP with butter!!! tuna mayo, bite of cheese sandwich, one crisp, coffee, orange segments, cucumber slices, sparkle juice, SW chicken curry with rice and broccoli, spoon of mango chutney, bite of poppadom, air fried sweet potato chips.

No healthy extras yet today, will have a couple ryvita with quark and sliced ham and some warm milk.

Exercise today was loads of walking and my yoga class, water intake was OK, syns... Who knows? Hopefully less than 15!
 
Up 1.5 lbs. And TOTM! Which is strange, as I was sure I only had it a couple weeks ago... Anyway, that might help to explain my recent behavior... Nipping the nibbles in the bud, starting NOW!
 
Du know what, that aint too bad babes. Don't lose it like me. Your so much stronger and can really swing this round. Hopefully it all settles down now ur on star week. Be good.... more than i can say for me. I really dont want to weigh this week.. really,really dont...
 
Aw, Bubble! I don't actually think I'm any stronger than you! I think you and I both have the potential to go off plan if other things in life get too hectic or troublesome...

I need to get myself sorted and stay on track for my health this time, I just cannot go back to the nighttime wine and junk food feasts :(

Today's food has been fine, trying for more superfrees;

B- coffee, orange
S- sparkle juice, banana
L- mugshot, grapes, cottage cheese, coffee
S- water, coffee, satsuma. Bite of kids pasta
D - spinach salad with pasta, cherry tomatoes and pastrami.

Skipped the gym tonight, just feeling bleurgh and a bit achey (have I mentioned I think I have tennis elbow?) am going to get to bed early.
Will have some warm milk and Alpen lights for my HexA and HexB snack.
 
Sorry to hear you've been struggling! Sounds like you were right back on plan today though! I know what you mean about snapping out of the junk food cravings cycle. It's taken me nearly all week to get back in the game after a spurge on Saturday!
 
Me too, I think that's it... Too much splurgeyness, and my brain wants to keep going with it!
So much for "early bedtime" for me, haha... Nice relaxing evening tho! Forgot to total;

Exercise - um, walked to and from the printer at work??? (sorry, that's all I've got)

Evening, all!

So far so good today and tonight! Sat and had my SW friendly dinner while hubby and the kiddos wolfed down pizza AND garlic bread AND chips! (I don't understand the 'pizza and chips' or 'lasagna and chips' thing - burger and chips sounds fine tho, hahaha!)

Anyway... today's menu was;

B - Coffee, fruit (pear, banana, grapes) salad with yogurt
S- coffee, sains ravioli and poached egg
L - JP and beans, salad, water
S - nibble of cold gammon
D - SW chips, speedy chicken and chickpea curry, teeny taste of pizza, 1 syn.

So not really enough superfrees again; it's really hard to get them in if I'm not actually prepping and sitting down to a meal. Will try to make sure I've got cut-up veggies in the fridge that I can throw onto my plate.

Still need my Hex's too... will go have a look, but will prob have ryvita and light cow cheese...

Dear Diary,
Just plodding along here, had a huge lie-in today, so didn't get much accomplished - need to do a big shop to get more SW friendly food in. Or really, just food in general. We've got fruit and veg though, pasta, rice etc in the cupboard and fish and gammon in the fridge, so I think we're okay for tomoz! Making a list of recipes and ingredients:

Today's food:

Brunch: 1 x light cow cheese, spinach, pasta and pastrami salad with drizzle of Hellmans FF dressing, counting 1/2 syn this time although it is negligible! Big fruit salad and greek mullerlight mango (1/2 syn), coffee.
Snack: coffee, bite of cottage cheese
Dinner: big bowl of soup (swt potato, butternut squash, syn-free spanish sausage), another greek mullerlight (1/2 syn)
Snack: black pepper ryvita x 3, light cow cheese x 4, bovril, sml red vino (6 syns)
Sleepytime tea!

Totals:

Exercise - zilcho
Water - about 500 ml
Hex A&B, ryvita and cow cheese
Syns- 7 1/2


Just finishing up at the compewd, then will brew my tea and head upstairs to get away from the kitch! :)
 
Hiya peeps, hope everyone is keeping well... heading to bed shortly. Half term finished and back to the ol' routine tomorrow, tra-la-la-la!

Right, before I do todays food, I unfortunately have to add to last nights food... 1 x alpen light (3 syns), 1 x sml kitkat (5.5 syns) and two lindt chocs (8 syns). So, that's 23 syns for yesterday? Flippin'eck. I can't even blame it on being alone downstairs as my husbo was right in the next room! I hopefully made up for it today, although I'm struggling to get my superfrees in again. I need to start taking and posting pics of my food again... haven't been great at that lately.

B - coffee, banana, toffifee (2.5 syns) (yes, I'm aware I wasn't off to a great star; bear with)
L - leftover SW curry and chips, some plain noodles. Got the spinach out of the fridge but did I wash and eat any of it? Erm... no.
S- cuppa lady grey, f/f yogurt with options choco-latte (2 syns)
D- baked whitefish, steamed carrots and broccoli, risotto, 1/2 greek mullerlight for pud, (1/4 syn) (had to share it with my wee boy)

As usual, I haven't had my healthy extras yet, so will have a warm milk and alpen light.

Totals:

Exercise - kitchen dancing, housework
Water - pretty good today, not quite 2 litres tho.
Hex A&B, alpen light and 250ml semi skimmed milk
Syns - 5 and 3/4 syns :)
 
Brunch; I started to have egg and beans, then changed my mind part way through. So have ended up with poached egg, Mexican chicken, leftover veg and risotto. Looks massive, which is good, cuz I'm starvin' Marvin!

Welcome, Leslay! And yes 'flung about' pretty much sums it up, hahaha!

I forgot to mention 3/4 syns for the half can of Mexican chicken, and have just scoffed a banoffee mullerlight with a drizzle of choc shot to satisfy my craving. Will count 2 syns for that...

for breakfast av had 2 Weetabix (heb) with 150ml semi skimmed milk (part of hea) and a banana. going to have a mugshot for lunch (roast chicken-free) and a fruit salad. planning something with chicken for dinner, dunno what yet tho:confused: need to get my weekly menu planned!
 
Yep, planning ahead is the only way to do it, I think. I've been a bit lost today, waiting for grocery delivery tonight!

Had a munch of ff cottage cheese this afternoon and cuppa tea. Supper was a bowl of my sweet potato, etc soup and some noodles and veggies sprinkled with chicken oxo. Sorry about pic... Forgot to take one before I ate, so these are the leftovers! :)

My groceries have arrived!! Hurrah! A few new things to try... Syn free sparkling pineapple and coconut... Laughing cow light Cheddar... Options butterscotch... Primula light... Hmmmm, where should I start?? :)

Hmmm, food looks good! And butterscotch options...I think I'm actually dribbling!!!

Girlinblue, choc shot is like a replacement chocolate syrup that you can drizzle over stuff or apparently you can make hot chocolate with it! I got some today, but I'm not really liking it personally, although loads of people in here love it! :)
