Syns 'n Stuff - My Daily Food Diary

Hi everybody!
Thanks LMN, I'm glad you've been popping in to check up on me!
I've entered the dreaded 'evening zone' ...dum-dum-DUM! But tbh, I'm not feeling too bad at all! Tired, but that's normal for this time of day. I was up early, so it should be easier for me to go up to bed early if I'm needing to get away from the kitchen.
I must admit, I'm hungry. I don't feel like I've eaten enough, so I will probably have another banana as well as more hot lemon. I probably should have stuck with my original idea of loads of different cooked veggies for supper. Oh well, there's always tomorrow!
Hmmm, now that I've sat down, I am feeling a teeny bit headachey. :/
 
You can still have fruit, I enjoy a bit of a fruit salad in the evenings and find it fills me up 'til morning. Have yourself another drink too - keep hydrated. Have you been for that walk, could clear your head a bit and wear you out enought to go straight to bed and not be tempted by anything else. You can do this, I have all my faith in you. Just another 24hrs to go. x

So, um - I didn't end up going for that walk. I didn't end up doing anything except watching QI and then paying some bills. I have that dull headache in the back of my head. I wonder if worrying about getting a caffeine headache has actually caused me to get a tension headache... bah! That would just be so typical of me.

Heading to bed shortly but wanted to sum up and see if I hit my 10/10 on the fruit and veg! :)

Breakfast - tea, water, lemon water, honeydew
Lunch - Spinach salad with avocado, 2.5 syns, water
Nibbles - water, 2 carrots, banana, satsuma, 1/2 cup tea
Supper - yucky courgette with tomato veggie sauce, water, satsuma
Nibbles - banana, 2 mugs lemon water, another 1/4 avocado with a squeeze of lemon juice! Ooooh! Cheeky! (2.5 syns)

HexA - None
HexB - None
Syns - 5
Steps - Dunno
Fruit/Veg - Hmmm... if I count the tomato/veggie sauce as two veg, then that gets me to 10/10 hurrah!
Water: 3 litres

Think I will have to take something for my head... hope this doesn't totally disqualify me from the detox. At least it's still a food detox!
I don'tt feel detoxxed yet. Am I going to feel different tomorrow? Like, cleansed or something? All happy and springy and refreshed, with clear skin and bright eyes and white teeth? That'd be nice.
 
Heehee, great if you woke up that way! Take something for your head it will not disqualify you. Are you not piddleing lots yet? Just 24hrs more. Your doing fab. x

I would never not have paracetamol on a detox if needed. If you have daily medication you wouldn't stop having that so why not have a headache tablet!

I hope that you have woken up feeling great and ready to face today, you are n day 2, only a few hours to go. If you continue like you did yesterday you will smash it.

G'morning peeps! Not feeling too shabby at all this morning, thanks! I took ibuprofen before bed and although I had trouble settling, eventually crashed and slept like a log!
So far have had water, tea, hot lemon and fruit salad. Was feeling really hungry about half an hour ago, but didn't have a chance to do anything about it as I was running around like a chicken with it's head cut off, trying to settle my little guy. He's got me wrapped round his little finger right now! Hey ho, he's fast asleep now.
Should get on and plan out the rest of the days food... and maybe tomorrow's as well - I'm thinking veggie lasagna!!!

Hello! Been a busy day, but yep I'm still on it. Tempted tho, to make it a 45 hour detox rather than 48 so I can sneak a glass of vino!
I had a good morning, but then kept missing chances to have any lunch. My bad cuz I didn't have anything prepared and ready to just grab and eat.
Hectic day with trying to catch up on housework, plus fussy little man today - he just kept following me around, wanting to be picked up. Had another hot lemon, drank some water, finally managed to sneak a banana at about 3 in the afternoon. By the time the kids were having their supper I felt like I was going to implode with hunger, had a small salad - spinach, strawbs, satsuma segments, avocado.
Then after they went to bed, I scramble-fried an onion, two parsnips, one small carrot, a sweet potato and some leftover butternut squash (all precooked except for the onion). I will confess I cheated and had 3 sprays of garlic frylight. It all smelled SO so good, but it tasted bleurgh. So I added some salt and pepper, and it was still a bit bleh. You could just tell tho, how delicious it would have been if it had actually been cooked in butter!:rolleyes:
So, yeah. Didn't finish it.
Have had another banana since then.
So yeah, that's me... poster girl for How to Not Quite But Almost Detox Yourself in 48 Hours. Hahaha!

I did manage to find my pedometer today tho!
I haven't had as much water today, struggled to get 1.5 litres down so far! Still going tho.
I'm headachey again this evening, but have only had the one cup of tea today. I expected to be much worse after going more than 48 hours without coffee!! Apart from being grumpy and hungry (my own fault) I did feel a bit healthier today. Some of the stuff you're allowed to eat as free foods on SW are fine in moderation, but I was going a bit overboard with things like Mugshots and tinned beans and eggs with salt and pepper. I like the idea of doing this sort of thing regularly, even if it's not a full detox - just a couple days where I only eat fruit and veg - just cleaner food, y'know? (That said, my veggie supper didn't exactly look like clean food!!)

Oh. Will have to post the pics separately as they're on my phone and I'm by laptop at the mo. Okay one sec...

Um, lemme see... is the app pretty much the same on everyones phones?
When I reply to a thread, it has a box I can type in, and then below the box, I can choose from Submit Discard or three little squares, one with a camera, one with a hyperlink symbol and one with a smiley face. When I tap the camera, I then choose where I want to upload the pic from. Here I choose Gallery, but yours might be Photo Album or something like that.

Would screenshots help at all?

i actually don't mind detoxing now, I'm doing a 5 day one this week but only during the day and then having a healthy evening meal. xx

Hurrah!! Thank you for your support LMN! I'm eager to check the scales in the morning, but I don't feel any different at the mo. I just hope it gives me the kick I've needed to stick to the plan! I'm going to look into doing some green days as well (not exactly sure what that involves anymore), and will probably continue to have the lemon water once in a while, as it's kinda nice!!

Hahaha! Sorry had to do the school run, etc! Well according to our scales, I'm down 4 LBS. BUT... that was with only a t-shirt on (TMI? ) and also, I don't trust them, they've given wonky results before so I'm waiting until I have an official weigh in (tomoz) before I do any celebrating!

That would be sooooo nice to have that kind of loss tho, wouldn't it?

Hope you're having a good day and things aren't too hectic for you!

I do feel better this morning, not quite as heavy and blubby, if you know what I mean.
Going to make myself a fruit salad for brekkie, and get back on the water today methinks!
