T_T's (hopefully!) dimishing returns!

Yay riding lesson booked for tonight - looking forward to it, because it feels like ages since I've been to the stables.

B - pear custard "coats" (HEXB1)

L - salmon salad with hard boiled eggs and cheddar (HEXA)

S - scanbran (HEXB2) with cottage cheese and cherry tomatoes.

D - quorn stir-fry with butternut squash noodles (2.5 syns for sauce)
Quark with lemon meringues for pudding (3.5)
 
Brilliant riding lesson tonight, and added bonus of working really hard in it!

Stuck to fruit today for snacks, which was a challenge at times... but I am determined to try and pull back the weekend. I did forget that cherries aren't a S food - but I only had a few.

Having a lazy day today; feeling a bit snuffly and don't really want to come down with anything when I'm trying to work on my dissertation. Think I'll go for a little mooch around town, then maybe do some baking.

D - roast veg (lots of pretty beetroots!) with Fry's veggie burger (0.5)

Will have a slice of my beetroot and chocolate cake (1.5) for pudding.

Got up early for a power bar class this morning, then spent a bit of time in the gym. Grabbed some fruit before class, now having my porridge.

Going to head up to uni in a bit to do some more reading for my lit review, then WI this evening.
 
Half a pound on - absolutely fine with that. I am going to ensure that I actually manage to have a week on plan! No cake at work, no beers at a BBQ, no sneaky chocolate bars! Got the new magazine, going to get a meal plan done and just be properly on it.
 
Considering how busy you are with study and exams a half pound on isn't bad.

Any word on the house?
 
Morning Mini - happy Friday! Oh it's totally my own fault, but it was probably the kick up the bum I needed to get myself back in gear!

We didn't get the house :-( Sad news, but I'm hoping something else will come up soon. We're off to see another flat later this morning.

D - TBC. I have the new magazine, so maybe something SP from there!

I will actually get around to doing meal planning, possibly not tomorrow though, because I'm working in the morning, then at hospital again in the afternoon. Off to the gym this morning, then meeting OH to look at this flat, then off to uni. Busy busy!
 
Annoying... house viewing got cancelled about an hour before we were due to be there. Never mind, I am up at uni now, safely ensconced in the post-grad room, psyching myself up to do more reading! Armed with plenty of fruit.

L - prawns with sweet chili sauce (3.5) and edamame salad (2 syns for dressing). I'm glad that I'm treating this almost as a "first week" again, and checked syn values. I hadn't been counting enough for the prawns. Will just be buying plain ones to add to my salad in future! I need to be more organised with lunches, so I'm not grabbing things on the go. That's something that I find a lot harder with SP, because I can't make up a big batch of couscous or pasta salad.
 
Sorry to hear you didn't get the house...fingers crossed the right house/flat for you turns up soon.

Having one of those days where it's hard to concentrate on uni work! Going to push for another couple of hours reading, but then may have to call it quits for the day o_O So many thoughts now! Need to start writing my literature review and see where I get to.
 
Thanks Mini, you too. I've moved away from articles and back to books, and managing to get a bit more done! Coffee also seems to have helped. I'm working tomorrow, but only a short shift before heading up to the hospital.... seem to be spending a lot of time there at the moment. I don't know if this means they've got scan results, or if it's just a general chat with one of the specialists.
 
And I get body-magic in when I want coffee! Post-grad room is on the fourth floor.
 
No idea where my OH has got to! But I'm hungry, so going to have my second HEXB as hi-fi bars
 
He forgot that he had a social at work! He's home now, and we've picked up dinner. Salmon and roasted veg.

Had my HEXA of cheddar as a cheeky little snack.

Will have cream flavoured quark and a slice of chocolate beetroot cake (1.5) for pudding and another hi-fi bar (I can't have them in the house!)

Total syns for the day: 10
 
How much do we think a kidney weighs?! Turns out I may have to have one removed... Bit of a shock. And making me want to be totally off plan. But so far so good

S - sugar snaps and prawns (odd yes, but something I could have on the go and on plan!)

L - beetroot and cottage cheese. Pack of M&S crisps (4.5) and will have scan bran (HEXB2) with LC light (HEXA)

D - butternut squash mash with mushroom and quorn chicken strogonoff type thing.
