Take 2! My New IF Journey

This week has not been brilliant at all. I'm binged most days and today's Fast has turned into well over 800 calories. I'm just not feeling it at the moment, which is frustrating. Thinking of sticking to Fast 5 for next week and see if that helps? Maybe have 1 or 2 fasting days if i feel like it but if not sticking to between 1200 and 1400 a day. Until i'm back in the right frame of mind. I think my calories for the week will average out at over 1600 a day this week so there's no way i'll any weight when i get weighed tomorrow. I can only hope i STS and don't gain any.

Don't really know what's wrong with me. It's not even like i'm hungry.....
 
Well i got weighed on Saturday and i'd gained 1/2lb. On Sat we always have takeout and i always get weighed on the Sunday to see what damage has been done. It's usually about 2lbs. Got weighed this morning and it was the same as it had been Sat morning??? Hmmm strange. Sigh. Not sure what i'll do this week. Maybe i'll keep the fast but i won't work too hard at sticking to the 500 and keep my UD's a lot stricter.... Okay then here's the breakdown for last week.

13/07/13 to 19/07/13

UD - 2077
UD - 2062
DD (22) - 358
UD - 2750
UD - 1227
UD - 2338
DD (23) - 922

Daily Average: 1676 Calories

Hmmm with an average like that i guess its not hard to see why i've gained this week. Really need to get my act together. It's been 11 weeks now.
 
Hi Carrot, I don't know if this helps or not, but I've been hanging round another JUDDD forum lately and the results on there are stellar, but the general feeling is that anything less than 4:3 for weight loss is either very slow or non existent, and this is from a group who have been on plan for more than a year so lots of experience there and they stick to their JUDDD calculator numbers like glue no 500/2000 lark going on there (as I had been doing), many of them have lost over 70lbs judding and its pretty cool to see that if we do stick to the proper scheme of things the losses do come and consistently. I have been all over the place plan wise recently and can clearly see having my 2 UD's at the weekend is what is doing me in, the advice was try and make on of the UD's a MD so 60% of the JUDDD UD number if that makes sense.

So hard to get the head into the right place at times it really is

That's interesting LW thanks. I did get my calculations from the JUDDD website but i've not stuck to them. I loved my DD's to start with but now i just don't have the motivation at all. The frustrating thing is i know it works! But at the moment i'm just not in the right place. Think i'm going to stick with Fast 5 and see how i get on. Just don't know whats happening at the moment. It should be the easiest thing in the world.

But i know that eventually i'll get back into the swing of things. I don't want to quite IF because i know it works.

But this is a new week so lets see how we all get on :)
 
I'm going through similar, I can't think of doing 4.3 - I'm blaming the weather, going on the pill and my husband finishing work. Excuses though
 
I always think these things are planetary you know, I know it sounds mad, but every so often people in groups here seem to be getting on fine with things and then suddenly some mental block arrives from somewhere and we all get stuck again, I am having one of those weeks where despite pulling myself through my DD's the scale is not cooperating, I even weighed a bottle of water this morning to check it was actually not stuck!

Do you know, I think you may be right! I woke up back on track today for some reason. So had a good fast day 385 calories

My weigh day is Saturday and Friday night i thought i looked slimmer and more importantly i felt slimmer so i had high hopes for my weigh in. Got up and i had STS! Felt really let down but thought well at least i feel slimmer so went to get dressed and then felt even more depressed when my trousers felt tighter than they had done for ages! What the hell do i have to do? I've made sure i've included exercise everyday as well. Nothing major, just some walking.

So don't know what to do for the coming week. Do i stick to just F5? Do i combine F5 with some 5:2 or 4:3?

What does mfp say your calories should be if you were aiming to maintain?
 
Hmmmm i'm exercising but not loads which is why i never set for anything other than sedentary as i don't think i exercise hard enough to warrant the extra calories it allowed. Welh perhaps this week i should stick to my F5 window on UD to make sure i don't go over 1660 and then do 2 DD's on the 415?

Maybe worth a go, to lose 1lb a week you need a 3500 calorie deficit per week - I can't achieve that as I'm 1550 and 387 and I'm not prepared to do 4.3, would rather lose a bit less!
 
Not had a good week. Couldn't get my head in the right place and all i've done is eat.Today is my supposed to be my weigh in but i was too scared to get on the scales! I will force myself to get on tomorrow. Had good intensions at the beginning of the week but it all went to arse! Don't know what to do for this coming week....
