ProPoints Tano's back...

Had exactly as planned plus a slice of cake. As stupid as this will sound, it's like a weight has been lifted, knowing I'm not focusing on MFP any more. I automatically feel less hungry too as I'm not looking at it thinking oh no I'm not allowed to eat again which automatically makes me hungry.

Hey tan, don't know if ur doing low gi with ur diet but thought I'd let u know that baking a 150g sweet potatoe has a gi of 94 but boiling the poatoe takes it down to 46. These dramatic differences come from the way the starches in sweet potatoes gelatinize during cooking. Foods that turn viscous, or jelly-like, in your digestive tract have a lower GI because the gelatinous substance slows the release of the nutrients in the food - I thought it was quite interesting x x

Ooooh thanks for that Kerry. I have them baked only once a week and boil and mash them on a Sunday hahaha xxx

Yeah it's really handy!!! I need to know as much info as I can like this, it makes you really think about the way you cook and prep food doesn't it xxx
 
Yeh def, u wouldn't think by cooking something differently it would affect it! I'm going to try n stick to low gi as much as I can. I've more of less stuck to low gi today n feel so much more satisfied than I usually do and not snacked on rubbish x x

Yes it is, I'd usually use my calories on crap n eat just because I have cals left even if I wasn't hungry x x
 
I feel like I've had a really bad week! I've had my cheat day on Monday with fajitas then a Rice Krispie square, 2 rest days from gym, birthday cake and some cake n custard today. I need to toughen up my act!

I know, I shouldn't have had the cakes. I'm not doing that again, what a waste of cheat meals! I would have had a nice cheat meal this weekend but I won't now. I need to have Saturday off too because I have a race on Sunday so I need to rest the day before. I know I've already done 3 sessions this week already and that's more than some people do in a whole week, just feel like it's been a crap one in terms of my plan :(

Gonna do my measurements in a bit so will update. I've got a 5 mile race tomoz so today is a bit of a carb refeed day so I'm stocked up for tomorrow. No exercise either as I need to feel strong tomoz. I'm going Pilates first, before the run as I find that makes a massive difference. I've just had a wholemeal bacon sandwich with a light spread of ketchup-no butter ad a coffee. I'm making a home made chicken balti tonight and ill have brown rice too so I'm well prepped for tomorrow. Only 5 weeks till my half marathon eeeeeekkkkkkkk x
