tazbabe's show and tell

It's the Lancashire-Maori mix - we dig deep :)

Most brassic though to have to be dragged out of my sick bed to come and say goodbye to some awful new friends :D

Morning Marty! So pleased you had a fab time! X

morning!

how come 5 days has passed since i was last here? where did they go??? i was at work for 4 nights, busy nights, fell into bed each morning, i suppose that will be it.

anyhoo, here now. is everyone well? i'm loving the loose clothes feeling, got room in my uniform pockets now for all the treasure i carry with me! got another mammoth bbq party coming up mid august, for my parents wedding anniversay, then it will be time to do another round of the hcg, can't wait!!

that's so brilliant Marty - really chuffed it is working so well for you!

What woe do you follow in between the hcf 'courses'?

morning!!

another 2 days work under my belt, play day today. well, kind of play, got some slabs and garden furniture to lift, (we are always gratefull for freebies!!) and am really hoping to fit in a wee ride. best get up and get started then!!

good afternoon!!

got all the jobs done yesterday including a short ride!

babysitting today, then shopping, then a bbq later, got to pack it in before work again for the weekend.

i love being able to pull on a pair of jeans and know they will fit!!

hello!

not been around much lately, i'll tell you my tale......

i was working in the field gateway, and cloudy (my pony) decided he wanted some attention. he was nudging me in the back, and i overbalanced and went down onto my all fours. he decided this was a great game and that it would be a good idea to step over me and take the chance to escape....well, in the process, he managed to stand on both my calves.

i spent 2 nights in hospital for monitoring, and all seemed to be ok.

my right calf is healing ok, a bit mishapen, that may or may not resolve.

the lft, however, began to blister, then turn black. so, after 2 courses of antibiotics, several dressing changes etc, it was decided that i should be reffered to the plastic surgeons. they decided to debride (cut out) the affected area. this entailed another couple of days in hospital.

so, now, i have a rather large hole in my leg, and a speceila dressing with a vac pump attatched, which both sucks away the fluid and gunk, and encourages the wound to heal from its base up. depending on how well the pump works, i may or may not need a skin graft in due course.

now, i'm not the best at not being active, and fighting the old down in the dumps devil is not that easy. but, it will heal, i just need to be patient! and i feel so guilty being off work! poor steve has been running around after me, and his mum has been great, taking on all my jobs as well as running the house and sorting out cups of tea for all my visitors.

there are pics on fb for the less squamish........

diet wise i am still on track, thank goodness! but really being carefull, as all this sitting around could so easily undo that!

Oh Marty that's awful!!!! And hats off to you for staying on track!!!

I hope everything starts healing quickly!

Hugs xx

Oh gosh what a nightmare to have to go through. Not surprised you're feeling down. I hope you're being well looked after on your way to healing, that's nothing to feel guilty about. Xx

Good grief Marty!!! I am SO sorry - what a nightmare and it must have been excruciatingly painful!!

Big hugs and hope it heals well.

I had a similar treatment a few years back for the removal of a cyst which had to heal upwards so daily drainage and packing of hole etc.i went to a homeopath chemist and got supplements to help and I think they prevented infection and helped with muscle/flesh growth - might be worth checking them out -infection loves moist wet craters in the body! Lol

Take care xxxx

Wow Marty, so sorry to hear what you've been through! Lots of warm wishes and good luck getting healed up as soon as poss ((hugs))
Xx

morning!!

nurse din't turn up yesterday, i called and they didnt know anything about me. sigh. so they are coming today.

raining again, i wanna go outside, to sit at least as i cant play!!

Morning Marty... I'm still in shock about what happened to you! Take lots of care and huge hugs xxxx

My goodness that's a lot to go through. Hope everything is healing ok and the nurse shows up.

I expect it will be raining here soon too. I'm fed up with the weather. Hugs to you and well done for staying on plan. x

Oh Marty you poor love - big hugs (((((((((((((((((((((((Marty)))))))))))))))))))))))

Doesn't help for it being a complete accident but you must try and relax and let it all get better, because you normally don't sit still for a second!

Hope it's on the mend anyway, love. I hear damson gin is very good for pain relief :D

susie you are very naughty for leading me astray!!! thats just one of the reasons i love you.....ooh, did you have a fab holibags?

anyhoo, morning!!

more horrid news i'm afraid, yesterday we said goodby to meaghan, our lovely belgian shepherd girl. she had a degenerative muscle condition that just finally took over, we couldn't bear to see her falling about any longer. she is buried in the field next to her friend teddy.

the nurse did come on monday, decided that as she was unfamiliar with the pump that i had on, she would take it off and put on an ordinary dressing until today, when she could come back with someone who knows how to do the pump.....so its not been very comfy the last 2 days, should be better today once the pump goes back on.

things can only get better, surley!!

hope everyone is well, xx

Dear god Marty!! You couldn't make it up!!! More huge hugs and I hope you found some gin - Susie has such great ideas!! Xx ... Hope you have a pumping day!! Xxx
