tazbabe's show and tell

They are stunning birds, a bit bigger than mine lol - will you get eggs off them? I have never had a goose egg, or a duck egg come to that - need to widen my egg tasting habits I think.

happy saturday! yes, the geese should lay in the spring, they have a short laying season, not as productive as a hen, one egg will make a meal for 2 i should think!
they are 2 boys and 2 girls, i now only have 3, gave one of the ganders to my mum, who had a lonely female goose, they would only end up fighting anyway.

got a busy day ahead, lots to do and sort over the weekend, as well as working nights and am having a small party here on monday night, (the girls from work are coming over) then on tuesday got a moving and handling and resuscitation update training day. will take all my concentration to stay awake i think! quite annoyed that they have booked me in for this on my annual leave week, tried to dodge out of it but no joy.

well, time to get up (sitting in bed, just finished 2nd coffee) it seems like today is the day the 2 baby cockerels have discovered theior voices!
there are 3 out there crowing in competition, plus i can hear a pheasant joining in! time to go and let them all out, it's light enough now. the days are getting longer, spring is coming, yay!

Morning both :D

For me it would be a nightmare being woken by cock crows - hope you are well used to it!!!

i love hearing them in the mornings! reminds me that despite having to join the rat race at work, i can retreat to the real life at home.

Dreaming of idyllic lifestyle in the country........................

One day, one day.

Hello you two, hope you are having a cosy weekend together xxx

Love this time of year too! Just getting light enough to see my way to the car in the mornings. :)

LOL at the men finding their voices all together Marty. Crap about the courses during your time off, but do you not get paid for them, or at least time off in lieu?

Morning Marty and Steve. The people in the house behind where I used to live kept chickens. 4am every morning in the summer the damn things would wake us up! It's fine in a rural location but this was all built up houses. They used to fall out the tree into my garden. One day the dog caught one and was running round with it in her mouth and when we made her drop it and it ran through my backdoor into the kitchen!

That'd be too much excitement for me. Our neighbour keeps chickens and ducks, but they're far enough away that we only hear them when we're outside, thank goodness.

(nightshift) just been brought a coffee by my beloved....ah, yawn, stretch! looks like its a nice day out there, need to get up early today, got someone coming, feels like the middle of the night to me!

Good morning/afternoon/evening - whatever. Completely confused on your timezone lol :D

Hope you are having a good Sunday

So in your Taz zone it's just after breakfast time. ;) Good on you on getting through the night shifts, are you back on days this week? Do you get a couple of days off to adjust your poor body clock or what? Is the thighmaster coming out to play later? :D
