3 cockerels out there telling me it's morning. hmm must do something about it. 2 are deffo going this weekend. they are for the pot, but so far we have been too chicken to do it!

Morning Guys. ;)

Evening marty and steve :)

Fresh chicken sounds good but tricky if you ask me!
Good luck with wi:D
Xx

I read about this lovely farmer who only kills his chickens late at night. Creeps out, picks up a sleepy one and carries it out then wrings it's neck. Dad hypnotizes them first. I come from a farming family so lots of chicken killing experts around, although none of them run farms now. I had a lovely childhood climbing through my aunt's hay barns hunting eggs though.

that's the way we're planning it rose, got them in a seperate pen just now, once the roost we'll lift them and do the dee.

tonight there will be a murder!

not looking forward to it, but it absolutely has to be done . gulp.

Morning Marty

Oh dear - sounds difficult ;)

Morning! Hope the 'deed' goes OK - hypnotism sounds like a good idea, where's the Mentalist when you need him?! sx

LOL at the reluctant chicken-killers! Hope it went smoothly (although not for the chooks of course) and enjoy your weekend Marty and Steve. ;)

well. we still have it to do!
was just getting our selves ready to go out and do it when my sister rang 'fancy a go in the hot tub then a carry out?'
well, what would you have done?

we took the dogs with us and stayed over, came home to sort the other animals have breakfast etc.

so. decided, 12 noon, we go out and do it.

so.

Oooh OK I will think positive thoughts at midday - if Tom and Barbara can do it on the Good Life, I know you guys can!

Do any of the chickens have dodgy tickers? Maybe a big scary "Boo!" might do the trick?? xx

the deed is done. i'll spare you the details!

they have now been hanging all afternoon, so off out in a mo to pluck and clean them.

Well done (i think! ;) )
Anyway, hope you can now enjoy the fruit of your labours!
Xx
