Taz's diary - Need to do this!

Im loving my lie ins and looking forward to another five weeks of them! x

yeah it is a perk of the job! x

I am supposed to be doing karate and KB tonight but it is so hot I don' think I will manage both! I will go with full intentions of doing both and see what I can manage

Good luck Taz if I'm not too late x

Sorry Gem, too late! Decision made, I'm not going! It is so hot and stuffy that I would be sweaty and uncomfortable before I even got there. It is a 15 minute drive from here and the uniform is quite warm so I don't think it would be sensible to go tonight.

I'm not happy about it though cus I have been a bit crap lately and now I am back in the right frame of mind and I really want to go!

I love the summer but it does make training hard!

tell me about it.... i am just so sweaty.... even doing stretches... LOL luckily we have fans so i try and position myself infront of one of those x Oh and i only do one hour sessions x

Our Dojo is really hot and there is just one huge fan but if there is loads of people on the mats then you don't get the benefit of it. The academy is supposed to be moving and the new place has full air conditioning.

Morning all! ANOTHER day off for me today. And tomorrow! Back to work on Sunday.

Well it looks like I might have a slight twist to my day today. Rather than going over to my mums I suggested that she come over here and we go for a mooch around my town! It's not as big as hers but it makes a change and we will go for lunch somewhere. I can't invite her to my flat as it's a real mess at the moment and her place is always so spotless! She would tell me that I should be tidying rather than going out!

good morning :) i always do a frenzied tidy before my mum comes to visit. even more so now she's moved to scotland as if she's travelling six hours i feel like she should be able to get in the room!! ha.

i am signing up for step aerobics on monday. my first foray into the world of going to an exercise class. i can't remember doing it since i went to dancing classes until i was about 14/15... so a decade :S ha. i've done a lot of swimming and things but i've never been to anything like this before. me and a friend are going. it should be fun :) now i just need to find somewhere that doesn't want to rob me for some tracksuit bottoms...

Taz - It's your place. You have to live in it and maybe that's all your mum has to do, I don't know. You work hard and I think I read somewhere that it was a small flat. Its hard to keep tidy when there's nowhere to put the stuff. I still find that with a 3 bed house! All my kids have left home and they have all left stuff behind, especially the youngest. She and her boyfriend were living with us for a while and brought loads of stuff with them. She has her old room and their stuff STILL takes up a good part of her brother's old room, which is nothing short of a hard hat area! Enjoy your time with your mum, I bet she's really looking forward to spending some quality time with you. x

Good Morning :)

Abz - If you want to set the scene you could read my "Aerobics for Dummies" :D on Creative Writing Forum. I too did dancing when I was young and also had much better experiences than the one I wrote about in "Dummies". Just make sure you know your left from your right and front from back - the step should help hehehe x :)

Oooh good luck Abz! Step is hard! try the supermarkets for tracky bottoms although leggings of shorts might be better. The more lightweight the better as you will get very hot.

Gem, sounds like you live in my kind of chaos! Yes my place is small, it's only a one bedroom flat and there is no storage area to put things. We are right in the middle of sorting out stuff to get rid of but it's not as easy as it sounds! I can't wait til I lose another stone so I can get rid of more clothes!

I don't know if she is looking forward to seeing me, I think she might be getting fed up of my almost daily phonecalls and visits! She will be pleased when I am back to work and not got the time for visits!

If she's anything like me Taz, your mum will be really looking forward to spending time with you. My kids have all got lives of their own. A few years back I spent LOADS of time with my youngest and had to take her home in the evening around 12 miles away but would not have traded that time for a £million. Don't worry, I expect she is really pleased you are able and want to spend time (the most precious commodity) with her. x

I'm sure she is happy to spend the time with me. She's not a bad old stick, my mum!

Naughty Taz - Bet she loves you calling her an old stick!

Well of course I wouldn't say that to her face! Ha ha

We went to pick my gran up from the airport a few years ago and on the way there I told my parents we should have a sign like a lot of people do. I found a huge piece of card and some pens in the boot of the car and got to work creating my sign. When we got there I stood with all the smartly dressed chauffers and prodly displayed my sign. There were many double takes and sniggers as people saw among the modest black and white "Mrs Smythe" and "Mr Chomondley-Warner" a large bright sign reading "Old Lady"!

Enjoy your day!!! Sounds lovely, Kids break up today!!!!! YAYYYYYY!!!! Can't wait to spend time with them x
