Taz's diary - Need to do this!

Did your gran like her sign? You really ARE naughty aren't you Taz?

Does that mean your days will be less hectic Nas?

yeah..... it will just be more relaxed, lots of visits to parks and picnics, we at least have one day a week at the coast or a theme park, zoo etc.....Hopefully might even fit in a last minute holiday, if we have some cash x

I really loved the school holidays so that I could spend time with my kids. We did all sorts of stuff and I hated it when they had to go back. Now they are all grown up those memories are SO precious and there are some photos that tell wonderful stories too. x

When my kids were teenagers I was at uni and had no money. I bought a family railcard and went out and about very cheaply - I could take 2 adults and 4 children, the adult was reduced fare and kids something like £1 or 2. We even went camping in St Ives, just me and my kids and their friends, all the rucksacks, tents, equipment and all - on the train. It was great! OH stayed at home (sitting out of that one, he said) and did some decorating but they were memories I wouldn't trade for the world (even when I woke up one morning and my tent was like a water bed!) x

Ah we used to go camping a lot. I want to go again and the other day we found a tent in the boot of the car that we'd forgot we'd bought! It's only a small one but it's still a tent!

The family railcards are great. The prices have changed slightly but you can take 4 adults now so it's still great value!

Hmmmmm - campings never been my thing! x

i dont think i cud go as far as camping.... i like a little comforts and luxuries, however i bet the kids woudl love it x

I will look into the rail card..... girls would love to go out n about on the train.... x thanks for the idea x

Nas, they cost £24 for the year, ou get 33% off adult fares and 33% off childrens fares. Save a lot of money!

The cost of the card hasn't gone up in years and yes, come to think of it the grandparents used to come sometimes so there must've been 4 adults on it. The kids fares are dearer though but it's still excellent value and you get to spend more quality time with the kids and don't have to worry about parking and stuff when you get there. It's fantastic. x

It did used to be only 2 Gem then they increased it and you don't need a photocard anymore.

Well, maybe my mummy doesn't want Tazzy-time after all! Not heard from her all morning so maybe she got busy with other things

The camping thing is a mixture of missing comforts and enjoying the freedom and the great outdoors for me. There's something about it that will always call to me but I would find it difficult seeing that I have a few back problems and different beds make a big difference, let alone a roll up mat like I used to use camping. My favourite was sitting outside the tent in the morning drinking the kettle dry with coffee and looking at the sea x

Where we used to go there was an outside swimming pool and in heavy mist it was amazing!

And I hate trains! well any kind of public transport really!! sorry- I know you gotta think of the environment and all that, but I had my fill of trains when I was at uni!! XXX

I spend my life on trains and I love it!

My mum has finally been in touch and we are still going out for lunch later which is good

Well I went into town with my mum and we went to Subway for lunch. I love Subway! We done some clothes shopping and visited the local fruit and veg shop to stock up!

Off out to dinner shortly then back on plan 100% tomorrow

what clothes did you buy? x

I bought 2 tops in the New Look sale and I can't decide which one to wear out tonight!
