Taz's diary - Need to do this!

I dont go on the watzers now for that very reason! xxx hope you feel better later xxx

i was the same taz - i just felt a bit short of breath when i got of the ride. when i woke the next day i had to call in to work sick and spent the day crawling around the house on my hands and knees!

I had the same problem many years ago. Last year I reluctantly went on the waltzer with an 8 year old I had taken out for the day. She really wanted to go on and I didn't want to disappoint her. I made quite sure I kept my head down in the car and minimised the movement of my body as much as I could. It worked but I still said no when my 8 year old buddy said "Can we go round again please"!

Funny you should say that Karen as I couldn't seem to catch my breath this morning! I had a really rough night and was sweating one minute and freezing the next.

I don't think I will go on them again either Rainbow!

I wasn't going to go on but my friend talked me into it but she wasn't 8, she was 50!

Yea, they're worse aren't they. The 8 year old didn't stop smiling from start to finish. I guess she was far below the danger zone but the breath thing is a bit worrying. Don't let that go on too long without consulting a medic. x

That part has subsided now but if I still have this neck pain tomorrow then I will go to the doctors, if for nothing other than to satisfy my bosses!

The mere fact that resting is not easing it is pointing firmly in that direction. It's so painful but at least I have you guys to keep me company!

I took some this morning but they done nothing to help. I have used one of my ols size XL sweaters and folded it up to make a collar so I can actually sit up. It's helped but is still painful!

aw hon. have you taken ibuprofin or some derivative? it contains a muscle relaxent so that might help? it helped with my bad back quite a lot. i ended up on diclofenac (sp?) but that's strooooooong stuff, ha.

I've had diclofenacs before and they are very powerful. I am going to go to the doctors tomorrow to see what they advise I do but I have to be careful about dulling the pain as if I go back to work too soon the consequences could be quite bad. My job is safety critical so if I took something that wears off while I am at work and the pain comes back I could be in big trouble!

i was thinking more just for today hon until you can get to the docs tomorrow. there's no need to be in pain if there's something that could make you more comfortable. although i suppose it's your body's way of telling you where not to move...

I have tried it hun, I got a box full of 400mg Ibuprofens that I was given at the hospital after my knee op so I use those but I'm still in pain. I hope they can help me tomorrow

aw hon. i can't think of anything else to suggest... a hot water bottle or a microwavable heat pack thingy? look after yourself :)

aww Taz, sounds awful hun!!!

sounds like the neck ache i get when we are made to do neck strengthining exercises in KB..... but 100 times worse!!!! :( A bad case of whip lash i suspect..... our old bones cant tolerate these rides i think :)

Yeah it's really quite painful. I just had a half hour kip and it's not eased in the slightest! I hate being incapacitated
