TEAM 4 restart - Moving Mountains

WoW. hi to all the new team members. Excellent weight losses.
I'm sorry i've been missing. You may remember my last post (my bad luck) when i got home i was ready for my telling off from OH and instead was cleaning up blood off my kitchen floor. one of my babies (dog) has developed a major problem and its been touch and go over the weekend. poor little sod. the vet says that tis is the last time he will operate as there isn't much large bowel left to operate on. DS is upset but coping. me on the other had i'm in bits. on the plus side he's doing a lot better today so fingers crossed please ladies.

I've desperatly tried to catch up on all the posts and i really really am so sorry again at being awol. please feel free to chastize me any way you want. .............(throws herself at your mercy)..

Hope your all having a good day xoxox

I am totally disgusted in your lack of respect for the team.... only joking.. was that a good enough telling off?? I don't do it very often!

Hey baby...

So sorry to hear about your Doggy... fingers crossed that he keeps doing well and getting better everyday!! I'm exactly the same with animals (much better than people!) I can't watch animal progs as I just end up bawling it!

Don't worry about not posting the past few days..it's understandable when you have got so much other stuff going on.

How are you feeling though? You okay?

x

Thanks ELAY. I feel pants. I really didn't want to come into work yesterday or today, i just want to snuggle up with scrubby and make sure he's ok. The real baby isn't that impressed with it all. it takes time to bath all the wounds and everything (got to be vigilant considering where it is) and baby just screams and crys for attention so i end up crying too, partly coz of the dogs perdicament, partly my frustration and partly coz i feel guilty for not being able to pick the baby up :( OH hasn't even mentioned the car though!!!!
On the diet side, i'm not doing too badly. i took your advice and i'm pretty much 810 this week. the a/b's have given my the run around (IYKWIM) but i'm steady.

Ahhh... i really do hope that he gets better! Don't beat yourself up too much...it's hard work and not like you can split yourself in two!! You know that your baby is fine, it's just that they want all your undivided attention (normally more so when you are in the middle of something), it doesn't do them any harm to have to wait!!

Just hope OH doesn't say anything and play it dumb!!

Glad that you are doing okay on the diet though one positive to focus on!!

xx

Thanx ELAY, its always nice to be reassured. it puts a beaming smile on my face.. Come on bad luck .....Bugger off and infect someone else, i'm sure i've had my fair share for the rest of my life.

Your bad luck is defiantely due to go somewhere else now! I had an 8 week run of seriously seriously shocking luck, but (touchwood and all the other things you do so not to jinx it) it seems to have gone away now!! I am looking forward to 2010 being a good year and i'll be super skinny!!

you and me both. I was looking foward to my holiday next year, its changed from a week for four in crete to a week for 10 in crete go figure!!!!! But i will be super skinny and look better in a bikini the OH's cousin thats coming with. (i have a chest, she's got knots on cotton lol) So i guess i'm still looking forward to it but for different reasons...(smirky smile all over face)....

She'll be sick with jealousy!!

That's one thing i'm not liking too much about the Weight loss is losing my boobs!! I've always had a good size chest (DD)... but now they are what I call Granny boobs, there is much more skin than there is filling (Obviously breast feeding two kids for nearly 8months each has definately taken it's toll)

Hi Babycake how are you? sorry ot hear about your dog. Hada to take mine to vets yesterday. He has hip dysplacia yet was limping ont the other leg. Turns out he has sprained a ligament which isnt good.
Elay mmmm fish & chips, what i would do to eat that lol.

im like a cheshire cat as i cant remember the last time iwas in the 10's lol. I cant wait to go shopping for new clothes but going to hold off for a bit until i get to 10.7 then its off woth the hubby's credit card lol lol
CDC said she wanted me to go up to 810 but i begged to stay on ss+_until i reaach 10.7. She agreed. I am so nervous about eating normal food again and going up the plans. As my cdc said this is when i need to start being more active but i am so pushed for time i know i will find it really really hard. I really dont know what i am going to do :( i would love to have the time to go to the gym but i dont besides i am about to cancel my membership as i cant afford it anymore. I was thinking of buying a mini stepper and do it from home once the kids go to bed but will have to wait until the end of the month before i can buy it as have so much to pay out this month. Im sure i will come up with something x Admittidly i am really struggling today :( i dont know if its because i have jsut been weighed but i feel sooooo hungry and i am craving food of all kinds. Someone help plllllease
How has everyone done today?

Dione.... rightly so you should be very very Proud of yourself and how well you have done!! So much for thinking it was just 1.5lbs!!

I'm exactly the same after a good WI... my mind is evil, it trys to trick me into thinking that just because I've done well I can have a little something as "it won't do any harm".....................

it's not worth it, don't do it!!! Just think, stick to it again 100% and you could have another 7lb loss next week, now tell me what would feel better.. eating something off plan or losing big again next week?

To be honest I wouldn't waste money on those mini steppers, they don't offer enough resistance to give you a good work out! You'd be better off going up and down the stairs 20 times whilst holding tins of beans or bags of sugar (plus cheaper).

evening ladies,
baby: so sorry about ur dog. i do hope he continues to get better.
dione: likewise, i hope ur dog gets sorted soon and starts running rings around u as they are made to do :).
elay: i was also diagnosed with osteo arthritus when i was 18 and it has been a downhill struggle ever since. i need a double knee and double hip replacement but they wont do it yet as im only 37 and it wouldnt be 'cost effective' for the nhs as in the future they would need doing again, so i struggle on with my sticks and my wheelchair.
however.... i now have my first weeks supply of CD :D and cant wait until morning when i start.
for my last supper i am having Chick Pea Dahl with pilau rice and poppadoms followed by a slice of chocolate buttercream sponge cake with a little squirty cream ( will be careful with the cream. dont want to go too mad ).
hopefully i will feel sick when i go to bed and then i wont want to eat tomorrow. lol

cheryl lol lol just a little bit of cream lol

Oh my I am dribbling.... I love a good Curry but to then go and top it off with Choc Sponge cake and cream, what are you trying to do to me woman!!!

My Aunt has had everything replaced at least twice now... she has just recently had another op and is laid up in bed with her leg in plaster! I really do feel for you as I know how much she has struggled and she had to sacrifice having children because of the constant pain that she is in.

What CD products did you go for then?

lol sorry if i made u drool. :D
i decided to get just a few porridge incase i dont like them, plus strawberry tetra, choc tetra (always was my favourite), chocolate mint, chocolate, banana and a few vegetable soups... oh and a tub of fibre69 (dont want to end up how i was last time :sick0019: ) lol

Oh good choice!! I really enjoy the porridge and find that (like normal porridge) it really sustains me until Lunchtime. I hated all the soups but have found that I really enjoy the Marigold Veg Bouillion at dinner time and then have a bar or shake afterwards... that way i'm fooling myself into thinking i'm having a dinner and dessert!

i also love the bouillion and i used to have a vegetable soup with a tsp of bouillion and a smidge of chilli flakes to spice it up, yummm.
i love the bars. i used to choose 3 different bars, chop into little cubes, seperate into 3 little food containers and store in the fridge, then evening cd meal was a slowly eaten snack of variety chocs from a little handy tub.
i cant wait until i can have the water flavouring too as i used to love making a chocolate trifle, omg i cant wait for that.

I do that with my bars...chop them into lots of little pieces and nibble them whilst watching the TV (lasts much longer)

Errmmmm now why don't I know about Chocolate Trifle... hmmm keeping this information to yourself are we!!:p

OMG... that looks seriously tasty!! Def going to get some gelatin tomorrow... can I use that in the shake as I don't have any MaM..? And if so how much do I need....

Thanks Nigella x

unfortunately u cant use supercook gelatine in the mousse as it is used hot and takes a while to set.
Need to put MAM on ur cambridge shopping list :).
trust me when i say it is as delicious as it looks.
i have to add though it makes one serious sized portion and it is only ONE meal, plus it adds a pint of water to ur daily intake :)
