Well done Corky, that's brilliant! You'll definitely get the 2.5st next week. I hate missing targets by a half lb, I mean it's just wee really :D

Ha ha I have done that before. Missed a target by half a pound and thought 'damn, I should of had a wee first' :)

Well done ladies, great losses. I'm hoping to join you with a 2lb this week. I'm determined to get to the next stone mark on Thursday.

Hellloooooo and welcome to the newbies :)

Good luck for Thursday :D

I've got some chips in my Actifry atm  I'm flipping starving! :D

Helloooo to all! I popped on the scales this morning and have lost 3lbs but my ''official'' weigh in isn't till Tuesday so don't update just yet :) fingers crossed to have lost more by then. I am losing inches so I guess you can't have it all straightaway:D Those chips sound lush, think I am making the Chinese salt and pepper version later xox
Have a great motivated weekend

Oh you're not a scale hopper are you vegan*4*life?? That's naughty! lol

I've never heard of chinese salt and pepper chips - what are they? :)

Ooops. I weigh myself at home as I don't go to class. Am I not supposed to do it more than once a week?!! You are joking right?! lol.... *wrestles scales back* :D
I saw a thread on here last night it's a home made version of the one you can sometimes get at the Chinese. I can't post links as I'm a newbie but will get the thread name....brb...... x

It's madamelaminxs-syn-free-salt-pepper-chicken-chips if you put that in the search box it should come up! About the weighing thing, should I not do it?

Ah thanks for that :) I shall scoot off and see what they are :D

It's up to you how many times a week you weigh yourself chick, but a womans weight can vary so much from day to day that you're not really getting a true reading that way. It can mess with your head and throw you off track too if, for example, you know you've stuck to plan and the scales haven't moved. Over the week things even out and the reading you get is more reliable. I've always been told by consultants to only get weighed once a week, and whilst I'm not a very obedient person lol, it makes sense not to so I obeyed! lol

Everyone does what suits them, so if you want to scale hop and it doesn't mess with your head or make you to obsessed, then carry on. Tis entirely up to you :D

Ahhh with ya! oh it certainly does mess with my head I agree. I do it every morning without fail.... :/ time to get hubbie to hide them I think lol. Yep will do it and then it's a surprise rather than a uohohhhho *every* day. Cheers for that xox

I uses to be really bad at this - generally of scales showed a loss I would relax with the plan and sometimes even relax too much and ruin the loss - or if the scales showed a gain I didn't deserve I would go into 'sod other' mode and sabotage myself an have a bigger gain!

I find having a much more Laid back attitude helps - after all when your skinny will you still weigh yourself every morning? This is a life change so it needs to be what you'll do in the long term I guess

That's just me and like corks says - do whatever your happy doing - if you like to monitor then do so - so long as it doesn't do anything bad to your head lol :) the numbers will be going down anyway ;)

Good idea to get Hubbie to hide them :D I used to do the same as you a few years ago, and I honestly believe that was one of the reasons I always, always, always fell off track at some point. But I'm a bit of a freak and have a 'thing' about my scales being moved and faffed with (lol) so I had to consciously (sp ) make myself walk past them every morning! lol Now it's natural for me to walk past them without hopping on them.........I do talk to them though  I tell them every morning that I want them to be good to me on Saturday! :8855: Please don't send the men in white coats round :D I actually look forward to Saturdays now.....strange as it may seem lol

That's exactly what I meant when I said scale hopping messes with heads :D You said it better though! lol

And I completely agree with the laid back attitude. I'm much better since I adopted it and I honestly don't feel as though I'm on a diet......im just eating without any obsessions...........if that makes sense? lol

Hey ladies,

Sorry I've been away for a few days and haven't had the chance to catch up on the thread.

Went to London yesterday for the Steps concert (Don't judge) at the O2 I got the tickets a a gift from a family friend who works there. Took a friend of mine and OH stayed to look after the boys. My friend managed to get free train tickets for us and a free hotel (including breakfast) through her work. The family friend who got us the tickets also got us passes into the VIP bar (which is normally only for people who pay a LOT for boxes at the O2! Had a really nice time, totally not slimming world friendly but I figure I need to have a gain at some point (other then christmas) so why no. Was really hard being away from the boys and it's the longest I've been away from my youngest and boy did I suffer, my breast pump broke and even though I hand expressed as much as I could but was in SO much pain as I was so engorged. Was so pleased to get home!
Back on plan and hoping I can make up for this last few days with a good few days to make the scales a little nicer on Weds!

Hope you're all well...
