Morning!

Way too many posts to reply to! Bunch of chatterboxes :D

So... this weekend has been a bit of a challenge for me and it's set me back a bit. Probably the combo of last weeks Monday night out and only losing 1/2lb on Friday has messed my head up a bit. Since Jan I've had a routine of keeping the syns really low during the week but enjoying more syns one night at the weekend on alcohol, meals out etc. It's been working well for me and even on the nights 'off plan', I've had some measure of control. Friday night I went out with the girls and we just overdid it. The food was ok, just had pork steak, sweet potato mash and salad but the wine then the 2 for 1 cocktails got the better of me. That probably would have been ok but it was yesterday where I lost it. I felt rough and couldn't be bothered. Ended up having a bacon sandwich, Pizza Hut lunch and a chocolate biscuit before I finally slapped myself back on track. And tbh I didn't enjoy any of it, actually that's a lie, I did enjoy the cocktails! :8855: I suppose the positive is that I didn't feel right having pizza, I got heartburn and my tummy felt funny all day. That must be a sign that I'm doing something right.

I'm over it now and back to normal today but it's worried me that the old behaviour is still there lurking in the background. It's funny as the friends I went out with are all 'normal' weight and we all had exactly the same, in fact they all dived into the starters we shared whereas I held back a bit. They were all hungover too and ate junk yesterday, but I doubt any of them felt as guilty as I do!

Sorry for the whinging post, I know you lot will understand where I'm coming from whereas my un-cyber friends would think I was mad if I said this out loud!

Anyways.. hope you're having a good Sunday even if the weather is bloody miserable. Love all the doggy shots btw. However, it's days like this I wish I didn't have a dog, she's sulking...

Morning cocktail queen :D Very lovely doggie you have there btw :D One of mine is still wet from this mornings walk :( so it's me that's sulking in this house! lol

Sarah, sounds like you had a bloody good time with the girls........and Mr P Hut :D lol Ditch the guilt though missis, you've only done what normal folk do...............and like them, you don't do it every day! They may not be wanting to lose weight, but are they putting any on? I bet they aren't, because they don't carry on like that all the time - they revert back to their normal eating/drinking habits which counteracts their 'good time' with a maintained weight until they do it again! lol That's all you've done when you think about it, just with some misplaced feelings of guilt :)

It's not a race to lose weight Sarah, it's a journey with an undetermined eta :D So what if you lose less this week? There will be plenty more weeks for you to kick some ass. None of us can be hermits and turn down social events just because we 'might' eat/drink too much. That would just make us miserable........t'wud drive me to the biscuit tin actually! lol Life is for living - grab the good times when they crop up and just get right back to your normal eating/drinking routine afterwards :D Hey, and what's the point in shrinking and not going out to flipping flaunt it?! :8855:

Well done on getting back on the groove train :D xx

Happy Sunday ladies.

Awww what a sweet doggie :D He's lovely :D

It's windy and raining here, and it's bloody freezing!! Not looking forward to the evening dog walk one little bit! lol

It's cooking Sunday in my kitchen atm :D Just arming myself with work lunches and prepping the stuff I can do ahead for mi dinners :D

I've just spotted about an inch of vodka left in a bottle from last nights gathering. I may as well drink it seeing as I've already counted it! :8855:

What's everyone having for lunch today? It's roast chicken dinner here

Draw some lines with glitter pens :D for the rest of you who have had a wild weekend and lets have some wicked losses in the next few weeks before we need to draw the lines again hey?
Gorgeous dogs on this thread we share our lives with two will have to suss how to add pics.
Corky my mother isn't Nora but she is batty....like her daughter :D :8855:lmao where are you in WY? Sick of the bloody weather here too, it's damned miserable. :(
Just eaten my dinner and about to get on my bike urggh. Think I will hang on an hour, let my food settle a bit. I do enjoy it once I am on it, apart from the saddle :8855::8855:. Does everyone here do exercise, if so what?

OMG yes please :D I could just dive into that! Looks flipping grand grommit :D

I haven't eaten yet. Best go make something eh? lol
Oh it was good and more important got me back on track...what did you eat in the end Corky?

Mini rant warning....

When joining a challenge where you set your own target over a long period of time do people set a really low target, now I know some people loose very slowly or are near target and it's harder etc but it REALLY bugs me when people join a long term challenge where they have determined the target and reach it within a few weeks. The clue is in the name...CHALLENGE!!! I also set myself a target which I'd have to work bloody hard to get, as I thought that was the point? Sorry, I needed to vent. I feel better now.
HEAR HEAR!!!

Me please...I don't have the hangover but I'm sleep deprived...does that count?
Yes definitely - will make double the quantity

Morning all tad hungover today I'm sure this diet makes me get drunk quicker and on less lol still did the shred determination I will shift this weight
OMG me too was legless after 3 vodkas and in bed by 10pm...and omg does my head hurt today

It varies. My exercise is in my food diary. I sometimes do an hour, leisurely - approx 12mph which equates to around 20km (nearly 12.5 miles) or I do around 40 mins faster so I am really sweating. Burns off some good calories at my weight and also you do lose inches. Walking is good for starting off. I have an Omron pedometer and make sure I do at least 10000 steps a day. Walking the dogs, going up and down stairs and marching on the spot is good for clocking them all up. Usually works out about 30 - 90mins of aerobic exercise a day doing that too. Need to drag the Wii back out too. :)

Must be where you get it from then :giggle: Batty is good though - I love batty folk :D I've always pitied people who have no sense of humour.......must be a very boring life  lol

I'm in a little village which is halfway between Doncaster and Wakefield. Where are you? North Yorkshire?

Oh it was good and more important got me back on track...what did you eat in the end Corky?

I ended up having 2 weetabix with ff nat yog and pink grapefruit chucked on top :) Twas flipping lovely :D

Crikey, I know I get drunk quicker since following SW, but I'm only just getting warmed up after 3!! :8855:

PMSL!!!! It took me a while to figure this one out, but when I did I nearly choked on mi drink! :8855: I don't know about goggles Donna, I think you might be needing a labrador and a white stick!! LOL

OMG I'm tired just reading that!! I walk the dogs for 2 hours a day and that's my lot! lol I really should make more of an effort to do some proper exercise. I've had the 30 day shred for over a week and all I've done so far is bloody watch it!! :8855:

I'm in Darwen, Lancashire which is not far from Blackburn if you have heard of that? Nearest cities are Preston and Manchester. Will have to suss out how to put that in my profile.....

:8855::8855::8855::8855:how's that working for ya....SITTING watching an exercise dvd............:8855::8855::8855::8855:she says staring at the bike intently.....hmmm yup...knackered now.... ;)
I have heard it's damned hard that dvd, does it look it? From an unfit person perspective do you think I could do it? :/

PMSL!! It's not working very well atm :D I've watched it four times now I haven't lost a flipping inch yet! I think I'm gonna pack it in! :8855:

The exercises themselves don't look particularly hard, although you can see why folks struggle to walk the next day by the muscles that are being used :D What does look hard is the intensity of it. It's just a non stop thrash for 35 (ish) mins  But hey, If you can bike for an an hour at a decent pace, I'm 100% sure you could do it. :)

I have only watched level one though...............gawd knows what punishment is in store with the other 2 levels
