Hi ladies .... I think if there is a god he doesn't like us right now! Andrea has been re admitted to hospital. She has a raging infection going on somewhere. She is on 2 drips her temp and heart rate is sky high. They are checking for sepsis(blood poisoning) and need to check no placenta has been left inside. Poor mite doesn't know what's hit her. She rang me at 7 this morning in a panic. I had to feed Jackson bottled formula as she couldn't feed him for shaking due to her temp x

Awww that's awful Sheila, I hope by now Andrea is on the mend, how long will she be in hospital for????? xx
 
I am so sorry to hear about Andrea babe... It never rains but it pours... O hope she recovers quick, the good thing with iv antibiotics is they get into the system really quick so it should soon be banishing those nasty bugs... I think you've had your fair share for now don't you ? X

I think she will be in until at least Monday until they find out what and where the infection is.

We have been to see her tonight, she has white blood cells in her urine and there is a possibilty poison has gone into her bloodstream. Her temp keeps spiking and her pulse is racing to fast, they have increased her antibiotics and increased her fluids, she is dehydrated.

Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day x

I'm really kind of speechless. Can't believe how much crap has come your way and don't like it at all :(
Honest to goodness... just give Sheila's family a break will you, someone, whoever, whatever! We have similar family situations and I don't know how I'd be coping with all you've had happen.

Thanks lovely. I dread my phone going cos all I think think is oh ffs what now!! I couldnt believe it when Andrea rang me at 7am telling me what a night she had had, and could I go watch Jackson until they went to the medical centre. I cant fault the hospital staff, within seconds of her getting there, there were 7 staff around her hooking her up to drips, taking bloods etc. They acted really fast, they know how serious it could be if not treated in time x

I've suffered sepsis after an op, I know how awful it is and how quickly you go from feeling 'off' to raging temperature and feeling like your heart is going to bust! Poor Andrea, she must have been terrified, though I bet you actually wished she'd rung earlier. It comes on so quickly though, you couldn't have foreseen it yesterday.

Hope you can get a good sleep, though we keep saying that. Night night hun. xx

Its awful to see her suffering hun, ive even offered to bring Jackson here for a couple of days, she just text me saying Mam im miserable in here and desperate for some sleep. Its killing me not being able to help her!

I just hope they get it sorted soon, I knew yesterday she wasnt right cos she kept saying she was boiling and dizzy. I thought it may be because of her iron levels. The midwife checked her stitches the day before and they looked fine so never crossed my mind to be infection!

Do not even think about blaming yourself for not noticing!! you couldn't possibly have, as I said, it can come on so quickly. I'd been in hospital the day before and was discharged, felt lousy that evening and by the following morning was back in! No way could you have seen that coming. You ARE helping her, you're there whenever you can be and willing to do anything she asks and she will ask if she needs it. I suspect she'll be torn re Jackson, so hard to be parted from him so soon and she'd fret big time if he wsn't with her, even if he WAS with his lovely Nanna, the only person she'd trust with him.
By tomorrow, the treatment should be helping and hopefully you'll see an improvement. They will be keeping a very close eye on her hun, so YOU can close yours and rest! BED!! lol xx
 
Just waiting for Andrea to text back as the nurses are with her now, her temp is down but she has the shakes again. They have put another bag of antibiotics and another bag of saline up for her to try and hydrate her.

I'll catch up tomorrow lovelies. I WILL have a lie in lol xxx
