The First Diary of Trudy C age 40 something!

Just heard back from the Hereford hospital, cost is vastly better than I expected so have a consult with them on Tuesday...... Maintainer, know that this is not going to stop my battle of the bulge but hopefully having the flat tummy will encourage me to stick with my weight loss - this time although I am struggling with the weight I know that I won't bury my head in the sand and let myself get back to 20 stone - I REFUSE!!!! I probably could do with all three proceedures you mentioned but actually it is only my tummy that bothers me..... A good bra sorts out the boobs and the legs would only notice in a swimming cossie and they are not that bad!!! SOOOOOOOO excited have gone a bit shaky!!! LOL! That might be lack of food!!! LOLOLOLOL! x

Trudy that's fantastic news. The weight you've lost you deserve it on nhs xxx great incentive to Dukan. 20 stone you'll Won't see that ever again xxx

Good news! woo hoo! yippee!

Another saggy tummy here ;) being very overweight and having 3 babies has not been kind to it ;)

I do wonder about having an op, but the recovery period worries me and its not something I could do while my children are small, but would love one eventually. It'll be a life of 'hold it in' pants otherwise ;)

Let us know how the appointment goes, Trudy! Good luck :)

If the promise to self of a tummy tuck is what you need to incentivise yourself, go for it! It is a bit sad when you lose all the weight and your tummy looks like a curtain that's become derailed! The skin on my legs has tautened up a bit (but that's where I'm still carrying the most fat!) but the belly ain't pretty and I have curtains of skin hanging from my upper arms when I hold them out - and I've lost half what you have! I remember Caledonia Dreaming rueing the havoc having been overweight so long had wreaked on her body - I wonder if her ears are burning? Take care, lovely xx

Crikey, CD, I wonder what happened to her?

Morning Trudy

Oooh, best of luck with your consultation on Tuesday, my lovely, keep us posted! I've got a friend who works at a private 'plastics' hospital in Bromsgrove and I often asks her if she can get me mates rates or even a BOGOF!! ;)

Hope the calorie counting is getting easier. I read (on Ellie's diary I think) that the number crunching is a bore ... have you got a smart phone? There's some brilliant free apps for calorie counting. Might make it a bit less of a chore?

Have a great weekend :D

My fitness pal is a good one

Thanks P - quite nervous but excited and just hope that it won't be loads more than I have been quoted - cost £120 for the consult alone!!! Decided to look at my caffeine intake today which is blimmin tough normally drink it throughout the day in bucket loads and also diet coke so gonna get myself some caffeine free coke too as missing it - had one coffee this morning and been on hot water since - missing my coffee!!! Must be strong! LOL!

Good luck trudyc. Hope it is all that you expect.

Must be Strong....You ARE strong. the weight loss last year shows a very strong woman who can do anything she wishes xxx Have a fab caffine free Sunday xxx

I try to be strong Siddid - had a rubbish afternoon yesterday and ended up standing in the freezing cold for three hours while my boss tried to fix the electrics - by the end of it I had lost the will to live, had no oven/cooker working so instead of being sensible I broke my diet - will I ever change the cycle????? GRRR - ONE positive was that I did start to binge but stopped myself and put the chocolate away and didn't have anything else - worked out I had had about 2,400 calories throughout the day so not as bad as it could have been and would have been previously!!!! Weighed this morning and have lost four pounds over the five days so basically a pound a day whilst I stuck with it...... Have managed to stick to the caffeine break with still only one cup of coffee in the morning and then hot water from then on...... Defo gonna get some caffeine free coke though as missing that..... Friends coming for dinner tonight so gonna make them a pasta bake (there are children too) but will have cottage pie and veg for myself! Loads of lovely swede and carrot! YUMMMMY!

A good day calorie wise and still keeping off the caffeine which is great! All the snow melting has meant we are close to flooding and with more rain expected all the horses had to come up which was great fun - my lovely leather boots got soaked and I was sopping wet! Day off tomorrow - got a massage then a back appointment so lady will relax my back then they will bump it back into place - LOL! Meeting a friend for lunch - will have to work out the calories of it all!!!

Today is the day - bit nervous but excited too - really hope there is not a reason financially or physically to stop the op!!! Bad day calorie wise yesterday which was unacceptable cos I was doing great till 4pm!!! Feel bloated and horrible today but our lovely retired caretaker said I had lost weight!!! LOLOLOLOL!

PS - hating the de-caff!!!! But marginally better than hot water!!! x

Just caught up with your diary hun, good luck for today. Will pop back later for an update x

Hope it all went well ? Xx
