The journey continues!

Ah, have to confess I wimped out of the shred :hide: but a friend popped over to help me work out what to do with our garden, and she ended up helping me (motivating me) to weed the garden, which was great :D:D Just need to get my butt out of bed in the morning to try shred before work.

In theory I was going to be cycling to work tomorrow, but have been failing miserably to get the new tyres back onto the bike. Went and asked our neighbour, who's really into bikes, and now feel like a complete fool. It turns out I'd bought the wrong size inner tube (I'd bought ones that matched my current fat chubby tyres, but I need new slimline ones (like me! haha) to go with the new sleek road tyres I've bought.

At least now I know why I couldn't get the tyres on, but it means another day off cycling; so definitely want to shred. It's only 3 months now until I do my 45 mile cycle ride... somehow got to increase my maximum distance from 20-45!

Hurrah, got up with my little one at 6:30 this morning, and did the shred before getting us all out the door for me to go to work. I felt really good, and it's definitely getting easier (although push-ups still aren't my forte) I didn't need the 30 minutes recovery time afterwards, so that's definitely progress :D

Excellent :D

Fantastic News Rachel. I start shredding next week although now you have mentioned push ups (not in my vocabulary or capability) I am officially worried. You are doing soooooooooo well Rachel xx xx

Push-ups are a very new word for me too, and they're only just barely starting to resemble a push up - in that if I get too close to the floor I just go splat - but they're getting better, and I refuse to be beaten by the dvd!

you're doing fab with the shredding! I think that getting the exercise thingy over first thing is a good habit to get - only wish I could catch the bug, instead of this cold virus I've caught!! ;)

Keep up the great work.

Inspired by some of the other pics people have posted, here's me wearing a jacket that I used to love wearing. It's a size 28 and fitted me really well when I was at my largest. I used to feel fantastic wearing it.

Now it looks a bit more like a kid wearing their Dad's jacket! Where the jacket used to do up nicely at the front, each bit of the middle now gets all the way round to under my arms!

And yes, in the background that's my star chart, and a couple of post-its!

Blinking heck!!!! That's amazing Hun. You must be sooo proud.
I have to admit I noticed your post it notes before the maaaaaaasive jacket lol :giggle: xx

There really are post it notes in pretty much every room in the house!

And I was so excited by the idea of the stars that I went and bought a pack of shiny glittery coloured stars, which I'm sticking on my chart -- a star for sticking to the diet, and a smily face for doing the shred! (Little things to keep me amused :) )

I'm really pleased to have got my first row of 10 stars complete

Wow !!! at the pics :D
Thats gotta feel better than anything ever tasted :D

Absolutely Marge, and it's been a real boost / reminder to me today why I'm doing this. Even more determined to see it through and not just decide this is good enough. I want to find out what a 'healthy bmi' looks like on me! I don't think I'll recognise myself :)

Wowser Rachel.....that is incredible. You look amazing and sooooooo tiny already. You are such an inspiration honey. Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful photos xxx
