The New Me

My diet is going well after 5days of my diet with 2 off day plans my official loss is 6lb so I am really pleased so that means I now have between 29 and 34lb to loose. I could not resist and had to weigh myself today though I wanted a whole weeks loss but needed something to motivate me. This should let me stick to my diet for another week.

Well day 9 today can't believe that I have managed to stick to a diet this long.

I am still struggling though some days are good and some I feel like I need to eat everything I see.

I guess it's a matter of training the mind and the most important thing is eating the right foods after the diet as don't want to make the same
Mistakes

Am glad it's Friday my day off today but got a lot to do. Don't know where to start from as got a really bad headache so still in bed and jus taken some paracetamol and trying to have water hopefully it will go away soon.

Been on Cambridge the first week I have his survived on strawberry n banana shakes the first week . This time round I was more daring and added soups and porridge.

I had a leek and potato soup for lunch yesterday. It was nice actually found it salty.

Today am am apple and cinnamon porridge and finding it really sweet having to have water with every few spoons of it. I like it but wish it was less sweet.

Anyone having this issue or have my taste buds jus changed.

Actually I don't think I like the apple and cinnamon porridge. Jus found too much to take so I guess I will have to finish the other 2 packs but not going to order them again. I hope I can enjoy the plain porridge which I plan to have for breakfast tomorrow. So a spicy tomato soup and a banana shake for my other 2 meals.

Hopefully I will enjoy the tomato soup.

Hope everyone is having a good day!!!

Hope you're finding more things you like. I've started adding a dash of cinnamon to the plain porridge - I still don't like the texture, but it tastes better!

I'm not sure what is up with my tastebuds - sometimes I like a shake or soup, sometimes not. I've learned to try everything at least 3x, just in case.

Hope you're doing well - when's your next weigh in?

Hey tizzy51,
I like the spicy tomato soup. To be honest nothing really taste that great you can
Always taste the powder but it's something I have to learn to adapt with. I think I prefer the shakes as I dilute them with nearly 350ml of water. I will try and have all the different variety I have to keep me going as have a 3 week supply still to finish so that will be it for me as after that I am going to move to the step 1000 which requires 2 products a day.

I love the chocolates as tried the peanut one yesterday that was nice.

I will have my weigh in on Thursday.

Hope you have a good weekend.

Hey Lumpyand bumpy. I have not got back on my diet after the break as I did start it and got do busy with work had to go none stop
For 2 days without sleep so I just stopped and now I have fallen ill.

I will be back on Monday for sure as I have no other option but to loose the weight as its comeback all on and I am hating it. I now have 6 weeks left to loose my 2 stones and cannot afford to have a blip. Am really angry with my self but am going to make sure I have no more issues.

How much have you lost so far?

i'm sure you will do well in 6 weeks, it is hard to get focused by try and take it a week at a time. you'll get there, just remember how good the losses normally are during the first couple of weeks and use this as motivation to get back on track. you'll be in the 9s within your first fortnight i should imagine then it'll keep going downwards from there! i've managed to lose 17lbs in 4 weeks so am really pleased with that, hard to stick to just SS on times but am experimenting with the mousse and trying a few new flavours so hoping to keep going until end of May at least.

remember to keep posting to gain advice and encouragement, its such a hard diet, you need to get support on your journey. good luck with your restart! xx

Finally on track and started CD yesterday. My weight was 142lb meaning in 3 weeks I but on 10lb. Am glad it was not all 14.

Yesterday was day 1 after my break. I did struggle but managed to stick to plan. Had a banana shake followed by Mushroom soup and a strawberry mouse. I also had 2 quorn sausages and a can of coke zero to keep me going. I will be doing SS+ as I have also started training in the gym as I have a10km run to do in 6 weeks.

Yesterday was my first day I trained in the gym after 3 months. Felt really good. I ran 5km in 40 mins so feel I am half way there need to improve on my timing as ideally would like to do my run
Under an hour.

Today is my rest day and will be back in the gym tomorrow.

I will update my diary regularly going forward,

Have a good day to all!!

well done on your training, good to have something to aim for! i've started mild exercise with SS, doing a session of Tabata every day to get my heart rate up and will be starting light jogging/power walking soon as well. i was never sure when to start exercise on CD as I didnt want it affecting my weight loss with muscles getting heavier/water retention but i know I cant keep leaving it otherwise i'll be too saggy to enjoy being slim lol!

Thanks Lumpyandbumpy.

To be honest I know I am not allowed a lot of exercise with Camnridge but I have no other option at the moment and just have to train really hard as for the last 5 years always wanted to do do Race for Life but was not possible as always had commitments. I hope it does not hamper my weight loss a lot but I guess at the moment my priority is to do the race and will-do CD as well.

It is my fault I should have been finishing CD if I had stuck to it an would not have this issue as I would have been on maintenance at this stage.

Never mind not going to cry over the past an focus on the present and future

just make sure you are on the right step for your exercise, sometimes people increase to 810 earlier than planned if they are exercising a lot to make sure you get the right balance of fuel and nutrition. it may also help with your weight loss too as there are more calories to burn so just keep an eye on your losses over the coming weeks and adjust where you feel you need it

I do a cardio workout 5x/week for 50-60min; weights 2x/week and have recently added a couple of tabata sessions as well. I'm on ss on the days I don't workout and ss + a hardboiled egg or some protein on the days I do workout. So far I haven't had any problems - felt dizzy once, but I think I hadn't had enough water and/or protein. I was already working out before I started CD and just kept going. My CDC said that I just needed to be careful because the workout pretty much used most of the daily calories and suggested taking in the extra protein so that my body didn't use my muscle mass as an energy source.

It sounds like you were also working out prior to CD and should have little problem with it while on the diet. Check with your CDC, but in case of need, I think some protein helps. Good luck with your training - taking 10min off your time is quite a challenge!!!

Thanks Tizzy!

I used to work out regularly till December than had no routine so have started after 3 months but am doing well except for my Hamstrings which I always have an issue with. Need to start squats to strengthen them

Day 2

Really struggled today but just kept focusing all I kept thinking was food. Well I hope after Friday I am in ketosis and my hunger dies out.

Had a shake followed my soup and coke zero and some quorn and just finished with a banana moose.

I hope each day gets better and am able to finish my 6 weeks. Just taking it a day at a time

Let's bring in day 3

day by day at the start is so so vital well was for me anyway. had to focus on little things each day bringing me joy - not food related - and keep mind off of weight loss and trust it will show x good luck to u xxx hope all well and u given yourself the BEST advice... a day at a time xxx

Thanks bellbell

Day 3

Well all I can say is it was a disaster. I did stick to the plan but without shakes and he soups. I had my water had a quorn meal and a diet coke. I jus did not have the time as had such a busy day at work it was never ending. I did have 400gm of quorn as I was also going to the gym an thought it was not right going on an empty.

I know it was wrong but I am so glad I stuck to plan and think I am in ketosis as was not hungry hence survived. Will check in the morning.

Had a good hours workout so am really shattered. Off or my shower and straight into bed as have aches and pains all over.

Hope you all had a lovely day!!

Good for you that you stuck to the plan despite being so busy!!! I wouldn't call your day a disaster - sounds more like a success sticking to plan AND working out!!! Hope today is less hectic and you can catch your breath!
