The Princess Diaries ♥ 2014 will be the year I earn my crown (ok, Target badge)!

Sounds positive with grandad hun xx

I think being a C is a fab idea! Please don't take this the wrong way, but you're at a great stage in life to pursue. There's only yourself to worry about really, no working around childcare or another person really, you're also still at home so maybe able to take a bit of an income hit.

Id say go for it! You're definitely Sw through and through, why not make that pay, literally! xx

My thoughts exactly!! Have been contemplating it for a while. Will have to find out the date of the next opportunities event and go along. It might not be for me after I've listened to all of the info, but I may as well go along. Not losing anything! xx

Hi Stevie, I just want to point you in the direction of this thread about SW consultants:
www.minimins.com/slimming-world-weight-loss-diary/301318-diary-slimming-world-consultant-138.html

I'm a SW consultant and I love it, but its very hard work, ESP in the beginning.

Have a look at the thread, it'll really help.

Sorry to hear about your grandad, fingers crossed he's ok x

Thank you very much, will definitely take a look at that. I know it will be really hard work getting started up etc. and I know how stressed I'll be, but I just think it could be worth it. To get out of a job I hate and into something I love. But we will see. As I say, nothing is set in stone yet x

The Princess Diaries ♥ - Round Two!!

Hey Stevie, so sorry to hear about your Grandad, it sounds like its a very difficult time for you.
About the Consultant opportunity what's a little hard work for something you are passionate about?! Go for it! I'm sure you would get over talking in front of people especially when you get to know all of them :)
Does the koko milk taste as nice as choc milkshake? X

Wow, I think you should def find oit more about becoming a consultant, sounds like an exciting opportunity. Just from your diary posts, your positivity & optimism shine through so it seems like something you'd be well suited to (esp as ot's been suggested to you by your consultant so she must recognise the right qualities in you). You are certainly an inspiration to me! Best of luck if it's something you decide to pursue further :)

It's good to hear your grandad is looking a bit better, hope his condition continues to improve - it must be so hard for you & your family at this time.

Thank you very much! My Grandad is still in hospital at the moment but when my mam and dad saw him yesterday he looked and felt much better - he is just exhausted and has a high temperature. Not sure how long he will be in hospital for, but luckily the hospital is 5 minutes away from my work which means I can call in and see him or when he is able to come home I will be able to pick him up and bring him home if needs be, will just have to juggle things between my aunty and I. We will get sorted! We are a family and families always manage to get through these things.

Have thought a lot about the consultant thing, and actually looking forward to going along to the opportunities event, whenever that may be. I feel like, in the last couple of weeks especially, I have become so passionate about Slimming World. Joining has been the best decision I have ever made, and although there have been lots of bumps in the road it has changed my life for the better. My consultant, Nic, is a massive inspiration to me and I can just tell how happy she is in her job. She's amazing at what she does and I can honestly say I would not have gotten this far without her. I know it must be a tough job, but so rewarding! I would love to give others the sense of achievement and the support I have gotten from Slimming World. So we will see. Nic is actually being examined tonight - well, not sure examined is the right word, but couldn't think of another! Basically she's applied to be area manager for our area, so someone from higher up the ranks is sitting in her two classes tonight, to kind of assess her and see how she is. I am positive that she will get it, she is amazing! I will do everything I can tonight to make sure group runs smoothly for her. I love being part of her social team.

Thanks as always for the fantastic support you show. It really is appreciated xx

It's really yummy! Don't get me wrong, it's certainly not like a bottle of your super thick Frijj milkshake, but it's nice! It's literally more of a milk texture - more runny/thin than a milkshake. I'm probably not selling it very well here, but it's definitely worth a try. I love it! I'm having it with my weetabix this morning to jazz them up a bit :) x

Morning diary. Happy weigh day!

Slightly nervous for tonight actually. As I've said in previous posts, I've been totally on plan again this week but the scales just aren't budging. I know that if it doesn't show this week, it will next week. But I'll still find it a bit disheartening if I don't get a loss. Even half a lb I will be happy with!! It won't send me off the rails though. I'm not going to go back to bingeing on a load of rubbish because I'm upset or haven't got my own way. As normal, I have my Synned takeaway planned for after class. I'm having a change tonight though, as I don't want to sicken myself off Indian, which is my favourite! I'm going to have a chinese instead, yummy. Just checked Syns online and can't believe 5 prawn crackers are only 1.5 Syns, wowzer!! Looking forward to that :)

My lovely mam and dad are jetting off to sunny Mauritius this morning! Lucky things. They get picked up at about 9am so their flight must be about lunchtime. I will miss them lots, as they are gone for more than a fortnight (don't get back until the 20th Sept.) but I am happy for them and hope they enjoy themselves. They so deserve it.

Anyway, will update later on with how WI goes. Have a great day everyone x

Hey Stevie, just catching up on your diary from over the weekend. So glad someone has stayed on plan! You've been so strong with everything going on and I hope you get the loss you deserve, I also think you'd make a fab consultant xx

Do you actually weigh your takeaway out? looking good hun I'm shocked about the prawn crackers to! I wouldn't worry about weigh in hun it is disheartening but there are going to be weeks we might not loose, you just have to keep going when I did slimming world before I went two months with no loss! I just stopped losing it was so frustrating but I carried on and soon came out the other side (I did however have a year off now I'm back)

Yes, weighing takeaways is a must!! In the past I wouldn't have bothered, but then again Tuesday night was always a binge night. Now I'm determined to live more healthily and stay within my Syns, whilst still having a treat. The Indian I usually get is 8.5 Syns per 350g, but as it comes in the container it weighs over 600g - that's double the weight and therefor double the Syns! I'd be having 17 Syns rather than the 8.5 if I just chucked it on the plate and tucked in. I honestly would reccommend that everyone does it, otherwise you're just self sabotaging with hidden Syns.

Love that the prawn crackers are so low though! Going to get a bag and count out 10 and then throw the rest straight in the bin, so that once I've had my 10 I can't be tempted to go back for more. I will a few more Syns tonight so I can also have a nice bar of chocolate or something afterwards.

Totally not sure what the scales will say tonight. Will be slightly disappointed if it's a small loss (less than 1lb), gutted if it's a maintain and I will totally freak out if it's a gain!! So either way I'm not going to be happy lol. Not going to let it ruin things though, you just have to keep plodding on. I can't really complain, I lost 3.5lb and then 4lb in the last two weeks! It had to even out at some point :)

I think it's great you do, I've not had a takeaway since starting back but when I do ill weigh it to, do you throw the rest away?

You have fantastic weight losses and as you know you have not strayed from SW in anyway what-so-ever if you have an STS it only means that the drop will come tomorrow or the day after and not on Tuesday. You abide by all the rules, you never bend them so I am betting on a loss.

I am really pleased to see that your granddad has improved and before your parents went away. They must feel so much better about that.

As for the consultants job...........you go for it. I have gone after every job/career I have wanted in my life , sometimes using unconventional methods, but always getting there and I can honestly say I have very few regrets in my life. You would make a fantastic and truly dedicated consultant and another advantage is that you would possibly attract a younger clientele as well as the golden oldies like me who will just adore you and want to mother you. You could make a big difference to teenage and child obesity in your area. It is so much easier for a youngster to follow the example of another younger person than to listen to an adult. You would understand their needs and problems so well.

Good luck................never forget, you can do anything you want to do if you want to do it badly enough.

Usually my mam will have what's left (along with the complimentary poppadoms and pickles) either the same night or reheat it for tea the next night. This week I'll just bin what's left though as they're away, and my brother is really fussy. He won't like what I'm having x

Awwww Sue!!!! You are so lovely, and so inspiring. Even when you have lots going on yourself you still take the time to visit and leave me such a lovely lovely message. Support from my lovely friends on here means so much to me, and it's what keeps me so positive and determined. Thank you for believing in me xxxxxx

Good Luck for WI again :)

I also think you would be a fabulous consultant and partly because of the bumps that you have had in your journey! You're just human which we can all relate to! I think that's why I love catching up with you so much xx

I'd just like to second Fillymum's very eloquent words.

So many people have commented on your thread about your inspiration and determination. If you can achieve those things in writing then I'm positive you can do it face to face too.

Good luck with this (and for WI too).

Thank you so so much!! Your support and kind words mean more than you could realise. You all are really some of the nicest people around!!! xxxxx
