The Princess Diaries ♥ (DIARY CLOSED - LINK TO NEW DIARY ON LAST PAGE)

Woop woop! I can't wait to be in the 12s, personally for me that will be a HUGE thing..cos I honestly can't remember ever being in them! obviously i was at some point ;)

Well you're not far off! Only 9.5lb to go and you'll be in the 12's :D Not far at all now, woop!

I know what you mean about soup - I made the SW website leek and potato soup (and chucked an extra leek in) and I lost 3lb that week! I was ecstatic. My first week on plan I was absolutely perfect - followed it to the letter - and lost 0.5lb. I was so disheartened. With that said, 3 other people joined the same week as me but they've not been back since, so every time I am disappointed with my loss I remind myself that I am doing better than them. It's a horrible platitude but it's true - at least the weight's going in the right direction..!

I'm glad you're now focusing on the positives! Maybe you're a week behind? I've got WI tonight but I get the feeling I'm in a slow and steady phase, which always makes me fed up even though it's still progress! It's easier to look at it objectively and see the positives when it's someone else!

The new photos are amazing! What a difference! The head of my company has just told me he's got some nice photos of me flipping burgers at the Staff BBQ - which was the week I started SW - I'll have to get hold of them to do a compare...

Oooh, I am yet to try the leek & potato soup. It sounds really yummy! A member at my group makes it every week, she loves it! Think I'll give it a go soon :D Just realised I have plans tonight, I'm going round to have catch up with a friend I haven't seen for a few weeks. So I will make the soup and do my photographs tomorrow night, I have nothing planned for then.

Lots of people have suggested the fact that I could be a week behind, or that my dodgy week last week could have caught up with me. I'm not so sure though. Our C always says there's no such thing as a "catch up week", and it's usually within 24 hours that you'd be affected by what you've eaten/drunk. But, you never know. At least it's still a loss, it could quite easily have been more than 1lb on, had I had another dodgy week.

Would love to see your before & now pics. I love seeing peoples comparison pictures, it makes me feel so inspired and motivated :) Hope you can get hold of them and share them with us!

LOVING the new pic, massive difference :D It honestly looks like two different people, I know your hair is died but you look completely different regardless of that!

Thank you! I hate the September 2012 picture of me. I like the fact that there is such a huge difference from the May 2011 picture, but I just don't like it at all :giggle: I have no makeup on and my hair is scraped back and looks yellow! It's a really good one for seeing the difference though, so it's staying in my sig where I can see it every day :D

1lb is still good chic, chin up! X

I agree! Man it's disappointing when you feel you deserve more though. I've been there. And then other weeks I have been OK and had a good loss and I can't for the life of me figure it out. Sometimes I think our womenly bodies are more complex than we realize!

As soon as my clothes are too big- I get rid. It is hard if i really like the item but I just don't want them around any more! I've been listing mine on Ebay- will help fund my new wardrobe ;)

Oooh, I might look in to the ebay thing too. not that I have many clothes that don't fit me, but I will eventually :) Do you have to pay to put things up for sale on ebay? And is it complicated? I have a paypal set up to make payments to buy something when I need to, but is it complicated to actually receive payments?

x

Hi Stevie,

GREAT pics, what a fabulous way to keep you motivated. You have come so far, WELL DONE!:D

You seem to have really picked yourself up and dusted yourself off, and y'know what? that's all you can do. I don't know about you but I'm definitely an emotional eater and that's something I'm trying to deal with. I think you're doing wonderful and I cannot wait to be like you and be in the 12's. Size 12 jeans is a dream too!

go you! x

You only get charged a tiny amount, there is a section on there for sellers fees. Really is minimal though! Every month I list things, I usually make at least £50 and the last 2 months of fees one was £5 odd and the other was £3 odd.

Recieving payments is easy :) It goes straight into your paypal account and you then withdraw that to your bank account, and the transfer takes 2 hours max.

Thank you very much! I am/was a complete emotional eater too. Sometimes I still struggle with it now, but like you say the only thing we can do is dust ourselves off and try again. I'm so pleased that I didn't have a mega blow out last night and binge on a whole load of junk, it would have only made me feel worse today. Thanks for your support. You are doing really well and you'll be in the 12's before you know it! xx

Plus E-bay quite often does fee free weekends! Meaning you can list items to sell with no cost at all, which is even better. I have sold a couple of things on E-bay before and I've always hung on until one of these weekends. They usually E-mail you to let you know when they're happening.

Also, when the money goes into your PayPal account, you can either transfer it into your bank account or leave it there for future E-bay purchases! Completely up to you. I love E-bay, although I can get seriously addicted so I try not to use it too much :giggle:

Yep. Plus a lot of the time i go to list it say's i'm eligible for free listings and they just charge a percentage of the final selling value or something like that anyway. It really is great though..I'm addicted to selling lol! :giggle:

That is really good advise girls, thank you :)
I can't wait to go home and figure out things I can sell! lol. Only thing is I work 9-6pm so how would I post the stuff? Do you generally bring whatever it is to the post office and they package it for you and tell you how much it is etc?

Well the only things I've ever sold was 2 pairs of shoes that I'd worn once each! They were still in their boxes so I just wrapped them with parcel paper and took them off to the post office to get them weighed and posted. Just a tip! Keep your receipt from the post office in case any of your buyers try to claim they didn't receive an item. It's your "back up" to prove it was posted. I've probably just made it seem a lot more complicated than it really is :giggle:

I've just got used to the price of postage for certain sized items so you just put in an estimated P&P cost. You package it up yourself then take it to the PO to get weighed and they'll cost it for you. I'm the same that it can get hard to post because of work, a lot of the time i nag a family member to do it :D Or there's a big PO in town which is open until 8pm. Head over to their website and you'll find local opening times :)

What a difference! you look fantastic and congratulations for getting into the 12s I hope to join you there very soon :D

hi, just want to say the difference in your pics is amazing you have done so well :) popped in your diary a few times you have inspired me to try red days and so far ive really enjoyed them!! i saw that you were down about losing 1lb this week, hope your feeling better now you have come such a long way and dont forget a 1lb a week is nearly 4 stone in a year :)

Thanks girls! That is great advice :)

Where do you buy your boxes/packages/envelopes to send the stuff in? Do you wrap it up in bubble wrap or gift paper inside too?

Thanks :)

I just bought mine from Wilkinsons, believe it or not! I bought a roll of the brown parcel paper and a couple of jiffy bags for a few charms I sold :)

 look at the difference in you Stevie, you look absolutely amazing :D

Well done on the loss too :woohoo:

Thank you all so so much!! I'm feeling so much more positive about the whole situation after all of the fantastic support I've received on here. Really can't thank everyone enough - I appreciate you all so much :thankyou:

Can really tell the difference in the new pics!!

I know its disheartening when you feel like you've really given it your all, and to see 1/2lb or 1lb loss on the scales. I've deffo been there! A few times! But you just dust yourself up and give it everything for the next week and the scales soon catch up. I've had 2 weeks of brill losses, but the weeks before that was 1lb and stuff, even the 1/2lb the other week lol sometimes our bodies just arnt on the same level as our minds!!

You know the plans inside out, you give great advice on here and you're always so enthusiastic about slimming world. Hope you don't let this one week put you down. You're gonna be back up to 2st loss in no time x
