Third Time Lucky...!

Well done avoiding the cakes!

Well it wouldn't be an update from me if it didn't include a failure!

After doing well, again, I have failed, again...!

I was good and then Easter came and with it came so much chocolate! I tried my best to do some exercise - I even walked 12 miles on Friday! However, I walked in the most unsensible flats ever (if they have leopard print then are probably not to be used for 12 mile walks!!). I have done some damage and now struggle to walk the ten mins to work - today took 30 mins to get home and I cried the whole way as it hurt so much. :(

So, anyway, all chocolate has been removed (eaten!) and I have cooked my breakfast and lunch ready for tomorrow. I really, really want to be good from now. I need to.

I have a stressful couple of weeks/months coming up. In the next two weeks alone I have a 2,500 word assignment to write, whilst working full-time. I finish work a week today and then have to help out at a conference at the uni for 3 days. I am also organising a uni event for the Wednesday night. I am then starting placement for five weeks! Whilst helping out with wedding planning and organising a super hen do.... so I am hoping I can lose some weight through stress!!

Angry that I can't do exercise as I can hardly bear to stand up at the moment, let alone walk. I did actually really enjoy the walk however and so when I can, I am going to do the walk much more often, definitely in better shoes and probably a bit shorter!

I hope everyone had a lovely Easter xx

Don't think of it as a failure, think of it as a minor set back! One that you can fix. With the chocolate gone you'll find it easier to get back on track. You've done it before, I have every faith in you that you'll do it again. You've definitely got a busy time coming up, just try to get some you time to relax too. Don't want to see you burn out!

Ouch! What have you managed to do to your feet? Just sore from the shoes rubbing or something? Where was the 12 mile walk?

It was along a cycle track at home. Goes through a few villages so can stop at 1.5, 3 or 6 miles an obviously then walk back too, so we did the 6, making it 12! Stopped for a nice lunch too. Am planning on doing the 1.5 (so 3) mile one a few times a week on my own when I get home, and then the longer ones when I have a friend to go with.

My foot - I had a couple of blisters but they are fine. The problem is the arch on my left foot - has actually got worse rather than better. Spoke to a physio friend and although she hasn't seen it, she thinks it'll just be inflamed due to the lack of support so has given me some exercises to do. It hurts so much though!

Hopefully the exercises will help take the pain away quickly

Firstly, well done on the 12 mile walk, thats amazing!!!! Don't take away from your achievements! I wouldn't look upon this as a failure at all. like Caroline said, it's just a minor setback.
You will be back on the straight and narrow in no time hun. Just get some decent trainers to walk in!! lol :)

I'm just bloody useless. Two years ago I started this journey and I lost 3 stone - now I have been on and off for 1.5 years - its just rubbish!

I want to get back in that zone and I just don't seem to be able to!

Help!!! How can I get back there?!

I'm moving back home from uni on Friday and I am hoping that that will help. The doctor thinks I have fractured my foot so I am waiting for an X-ray and so can hardly walk at the moment, let alone do any exercise.

Right. All crap food is out of house. Tomorrows breakfast and lunch is made. Dinner will be something from the cupboard but at least I know it's all healthy now.

I need to stop my fizzy drinks too - I don't think they help!

From Monday I am on placement - this means a 30 min walk each day at least. I am going to look into joining the gym if they will do a monthly fee. Also I need to make sure my foot is ok. I have to have the X-ray and hopefully that will clear something up for me.

I'm not going I drink until 6 may when I have a night out planned.

POSITIVE THINKING!!

Positive thinking chick!! You can do it.

Hope you get your foot sorted, sounds painful. xx

Go for it chick

Sounds like great forward planning. With all the junk food gone it will hopefully be much easier for you.

Thanks girls. I'm going to log my food on here too! Extra accountability!

Breakfast: 30g feta, a hard boiled egg and a bowl of spinach on two slices of toast

(I've been having this for the last few weeks and it fills me up!)

Lunch: egg mayo sandwich using extra light mayo and a warburton thin. A small packet of mini cheddars.

Snack: a cookie - I made a decision to have it as it is m last day at work and I had brought them in for everyone! I have the calories left to have it.

I will probably have spaghetti on toast for dinner as I'm trying to use up things before I move out on Friday.

I have ordered some miracle noodles to try - has anyone tried them?

I've had them and to be honest, didn't think they were worth it. They weren't very interesting but they have no carbs, no calories and no nutritional value at all really!
