Third Time Lucky...!

I've just done 20 mins on Just Dance - think I might buy JD3. I love it! Is so much fun and I feel like I'm really working out!

I'm going to my Mums tonight for dinner - it's a kinda buffet. I haven't had breakfast, had a decent lunch and have done 50 mins on the Wii so think I'll be ok!

Tomorrow I'm going to my boyfriends for the day to watch films and I never really eat much when I'm with him so tomorrow will be a low day, but no exercise so to speak of!

My dinner was a buffet type thing too, impossible to count really. But I didn't have breakfast either, or lunch and did 45 minutes of exercise so I'm sure we'll both be fine!

I definitely agree, cc is by far the easiest way and the way where you have the most control. There's no allowed list, there's no syn list, there's no banned list. You can have whatever you want, you just have to learn to have it in moderation. It really does set you up for life, it teaches you about making the right choices, controlling your portions, building a healthy lifestyle of a healthy, balanced diet and exercise and so it's fully sustainable. You could do it every day for the rest of your life, could you really do weight watchers or slimming world or even vlcd like cambridge or lighter life for the rest of your life? I've tried most things but this is the one that works best for me, I think because it's so life changing. I don't slate those other ones, they work for some people but I personally like knowing that I'm in control of what I eat, how much I eat, when I eat it and the exercise that I can do to allow myself a little more on days when I'm eating out or something, knowing that the changes that I'm making now are changes that will stay with me and benefit me for the rest of my life.

Well done :)

I just typed a REALLY long post on my phone and it disappeared!

I was supposed to come back home tomorrow but my bf asked me to stay another night. Things have been a bit rocky recently - he has got a new job and moved house and he just seemed really down recently and it was affecting us, but he has been so much happier! We had such a lovely time, really smiley and happy, and just relaxed and fun.

I didn't eat much yesterday - another good thing about him is that he is very body conscious - he goes to the gym a lot and eats well so he generally hasn't got much food in the house apart from chicken and tuna!

So, yesterday I had:

B: crunchy nut clusters
L: none - had breakfast really late
D: tomato soup, a roll, Crunchie

Was way under calories.

We watched Fat Fighters in the evening - no idea why! His housemate watched it with us and I have only met him a few times so am still nervous about what he thinks of me. I know he likes me as a person, he has told me he thinks I'm great for my bf and he wants to find someone like me! But, he is really in to his body too - he takes steroids (my bf doesn't luckily!)- don't agree with that but the results are amazing! ;)

So, I am still nervous that he will look at me and think.... urgh, fat!

So, especially having Fat Fighters on - I felt really self conscious. It was funny though as the two boys started discussing the diets they have been on - all different sort of soups/detoxes/juices - was quite funny!

On the show they focussed on a woman who weighed 14 stone ish - what I weigh roughly - and was a size 18 dress and wanted to be a size 14 dress. They filmed her over 3 months with a personal trainer, four different fitness instructors to help, free gym, nutritional help etc... and she lost 1 stone. I was quite shocked that she only lost 1 stone over 3 months - of course, any loss is great and everyone loses at different rates, but seeing how much we manage to lose, and we are doing this ourselves, with no TV help, it made me feel really good about us lot here!!

Also, she supposedly lost 2 dress sizes but I couldn't see much difference - I work on dress sizes being trousers - I used to wear a very, bery tight 22 and I'm now a loose 18. She based hers on a dress - she was wearing a size 18 and by the end she was in a size 24 dress - but it was a stretchy material - I don't know, maybe I'm just being cycnical, but I felt that the show was just trying to prove a point - ad I'm sure she hadn't actually lost much!

I'm planning on watching the Biggest Loser later. I watched it last year and loved it. I know lots of people dislike it as the contestants are obviously working out for hours every day and have no chance to eat badly either (apart from the silly challenges!) and so they lose huge amounts each week - but I still find it motivates me.

If you look on Google for the before and afters of the series - particularly the American ones - they are absolutely amazing!

Today's plan is :

B: cookies... not the best but the only thing left in his cupboard!
L: wrap, crisps and a yoghurt
D: wrap and crisps

E: 20 mins Just Dance - will try to do more later.

I weighed in today and have lost another pound too so very happy with that!

Anyway, enough rambling from me! I'm going to go and browse the net for healthy/diet related things - January is always a good time for articles on health!

I watched that too! I thought she should have lost a lot more too seeing as us without some mega expensive best at his job personal trainer isn't kicking our butts! I done all the squats and things they done in the show too :) I like that bit about it and the dance at the end. It's at least a little more helpful than biggest loser in that sense lol.

I was going to watch Fat Fighters but I got distracted by Holby City! Was it good? I'm going to watch it on 4OD. I'm not sure if I liked The Biggest Loser. It just wasn't as good as I wanted it to be. I wanted to feel more inspired and motivated by it and pick up a few tips or something. Maybe it's just because it's the first one so there were all the introductions but it just felt really short and lacking in content to be honest. Hope next week is better. I want to watch the american one but I don't have Sky :(

FF was interesting to watch, I was only half watching it though really - some of it just seemed completely stupid though - they were showing auditions for new workout classes and they were absolutely stupid!

I'm going to join in with this exercise challenge that you started Caroline - I've just done 3 mins of the 15 min stair walk - that was bloody hard!!

Have just done another 20 mins of Zumba so at the end of the day I should have managed 20 mins Zumba, 20 mins Just Dance and 15 mins stair climbing!

I did that 15 mins stair climbing. Was exhausting!

That 15 minutes is a bit of a *****! But it's great for your quads and hamstrings. You could always break it up, 5 x 3 minute bursts?

I'm pretty pleased with myself today. After seeing Caroline's mind/body challenge, I've decided to do it myself for today...

Things I have achieved:

1. Saying no to a J20 and having water instead.
2. Saying no to a bacon and egg sandwich for lunch and going home to my wrap instead.
3. Losing 1lb.
4. Doing 20 mins on the Wii... and then deciding later to do another 20 mins.
5. Completing the second day of the exercise challenge - 15 min stair climb was a killer!
6. Saying no just now to the chorizo and chicken pie which has been in the freezer and what I have wanted to try for so long - with chips! - 1000 cals for the meal is not what I need - I'll be having a vegetable wrap instead!

Well, pathetically the only veg we had in the house was an onion!! So, I added some onion to my wrap as the veg in my daily challenge.

Instead of my usual phily, ham and salad cold wrap, I had chicken, sun dried tomato phily, Brie and sweet chilli sauce and onion wrap - I toasted it on both sides and it was delicious.

Decided to add the chicken as I eat hardly any protein.

Well done, those are pretty good accomplishments to me!
