Thomasina's final push!

Thanks for your advice ladies it may not be needed now anyway :(

Ahhh what a crazy time I am having!
So it turns out that I'm not insulin resistant but have very high blood sugar. Got to go back on Thursday and have another blood test and they will go from there.

I seem back in the zone now after eating so much yesterday and completely grossing myself out! Very much needed though as given me a kick up the backside! Feel very positive :)

The doctor is taking me off the pill as she says there is no point messing around with it all since we are going to start trying soon. She also said that I will be ok to start exante after my op :)

So I have 10 days left till my op and so I am going to try and get some weight off and then jump onto exante on the 4th.
Also just realised how fast time is going! We need to move in a month and still not found anywhere plus the two weeks before I am starting my new job and N will be away on a training course for his new job so I will be on my own!
Ahhhhhh!

Not a bad day today. Feel so much more positive :) It is the first goodish day I have had in a while!

B- Granola and yoghurt, OJ
L- Egg and pot salad
D- Small jacket,beans and cheese
S- LF Babybell, had a mrb at work and every I got hungry or wanted to eat I had a bite out of it! Worked really well and didn't snack at work which is usually my biggest problem!
Drinks- 500ml diet coke, 2 teas and litre of water.

Glad you're feeling good and positive and can see light at the end of the tunnel :D xx

Ok so last night turned out to be a bit of a disaster! N called me about 5 minutes before I was leaving work to tell me a guy that he works with and his wife were coming over for dinner! Bearing in mind I have got spots the size of Scotland and the house was such a mess!
So anyway we ended up having pizza- I only had 2 slices but ended so bloated! Then also had a slice of victoria sponge and a cookie. Hmmm!

Anyway today:
B- Granola
L- Egg and pot salad
D- Jacket potatoe, beans and cheese
S- Babybell if needed.

WI today- 11st 6lbs 1lb lost

Oooo aint that just like a bloke! .... Had to giggle at the spots the size of Scotland remark ;)
BUT! You had that and still lost a pound! Brill :D xx

Oooh, well done on the loss chick! :) x

Thanks :)
Jan I'm glad someone finds them entertaining! Lol. They are huge though- not like normal spots but more like hard cysts filled with this clear liquid that is never ending! Grossed you out yet?!
Diet wise still feel positive! Long may it continue!

Mmmmmm - yeah a bit grossed out I must admit ;) (if you can be a BIT grossed out :p) x

I'm defo grossed out!!! :sign0137:

So thought I better post on here as been awol for a little while!
Diet has been crap- been far too busy atm to think about food and my body also feels the need to eat as much as possible before my op! Damn thing knows whats coming!
I put on the 1lb I lost- not massive damage but not what I wanted!

So I have one more day left at work, surgery on Saturday and then start my new job on the 7th. N also goes away on the 7th for training for his promotion and is spending 2 weeks away in London in a 5 star hotel jammy sod! In the mean time I need to recover, start a new job, pack our flat, patch up all the dodgy bits, find furniture and a van and move on the 21st! So a little stressed!

Tomorrow I will be working a 14 hour shift 6am-8pm but it is my last one so can't complain too much!

Food:
B- Granola
L- Egg and pot salad
D- Thai curry and rice
S- Babybell and probably a slice of cake and tea as my friend is meeting me to say bye :(

Friday will be a hectic day trying to get everything sorted plus my mum is coming up so will fit food in as in when! But going to Harvester in the evening with the family :)

Going to stock up with loads of soups for after my op as I figure I won't feel like eating loads. And then back on Exante on the 4th!

We have decided to start trying for a baby on the 1st Jan so need to get this weight shifted!

Busy busy!

Doesn't sound like you'll have much time to recover with all you've got planned to do!! :p x

Blimey no wonder you're stressed!!! Flies on the 'diet' for this little spell, give yourself permission to relax and go with the flow at least till your op's over and you're recovered! xx

Gosh you do have an awful lot in at the minute. Definitely can see how your diet is the least of your worries.
Good luck for your operation. I hope you'll feel better soon.

Enjoy your last shift today and good luck for the op on saturday. What a busy couple of weeks you have ahead, remember though your health comes first so try not to overdo things!

Thanks ladies.
Got my mum coming up and my step mum nearby. I'm sure they will soon let me know if I'm overdoing it!
Such a bittersweet day today. Last day at a job I don't really enjoy but I'm not enjoying having to say goodbye to so many good friends. My closest friend here came over and we did a bit of shopping as per tradition and it was lovely. But it is hard knowing I'm not going to see her for a while especially after all she has gone through in the last couple of months :(
But onto pastures new and I hope I makes lots of friends there too!
Going to have a kebab tonight- was going to be good but after a long emotional day I just want comfort food! N is out with his mates as well so can go home put my feet up and chill and watch whatever I want on TV!
Bliss!

Sounds like a fantastic evening. Hope you enjoyed it! :) x
