Just thought I'd come & catch up after a long day (not expecting the tone to be quite that low!!!).
Travelled from Telford to Swindon to Newbury and after a loooooooong lunch with in-laws, back to Telford. Was very proud of my girly today, she's the fussiest eater in the world - EVER - I kid you not and so we were all relieved when Step FIL offered her a choice of chicken or lamb for lunch as he's known for cooking rather strange, yet totally untasty food combo's! So roast chicken being one of the very few things she'll eat was dished up, unfortunately it was a chicken breast that had been previously cooked (sometime around the turn of the 19th century I believe) and re-heated, at length. It was the driest, toughest looking (and that was without tasting it) piece of chicken I have ever set eyes on. My DD who would normally never eat anything that hadn't passed her own very high food standards, just quietly got on with it so as not to appear ungrateful and said afterwards how lovely it was. Aww bless her, I could see she hated every mouthful. On the way home we stopped at a Subway down the road and bought her a massive Chicken & Bacon Ranch and a choc chip & M&M (sorry SSers) cookie. She earnt it!
Anyway lovely to check in with you all, I'll be off to bed shortly, am pooped, it's all that sleeping in the car I did, just wears you out!

Back again!
I'm terrible, I nodded off within about 20 minutes of leaving the house and slept for an hour an then insisted we stop at the next services cos I needed a wee, we never have to stop for DD, it's always me that needs the loo. She always says to me before we leave anywhere, do you need the loo mum before we get in the car! Something wrong here!
