Threadstoppers United. For the new, nearly new...or even the old members :)

I'm back from the gym. It was a gruelling session walking all the way around to look at it all and filling in the forms with a black coffee. I'm exhausted now! Booked in for an intro. session tomorrow so better get an early night tonight.

which Jim are you going to have ????and why does he exhaust you xx

Boy am I whacked I really need that early night. No not with Jim, mustdoit!

Do you think I should book a class too with it being my first week? Or is that really going a bit far? Wouldn't want anyone to think I'm becoming an exercise addict!

LOL... my instructor told me that 2-3 times a week to the gym is plenty. So... I guess it's up to you.. and how much you wanna do and how much you feel able to do !

(I just about manage my 2 sessions a week but was thinking of adding a class but nah.. lol.. 2 will do for now :) )

I've got a seven day free pass so I guess I should try out AMAP this week although I'm almost certainly going to join. As it is the only local gym and it would be silly to join one that took time and money to get too, don't need any more excuses for not going.

I used to belong to a gym before my first son was born over 10 years ago. I loved high impact classes then and hope to get the bug again but I guess I'm going to need to build up my fitness again.

I thought you meant all the fitness classes. You are right I will try out all the equipment as it has changed some since I was a regular at the gym. I will almost definitely join the gym but want to feel that I will be happy enough to use it regularly. There is a pool too so I can also do swimming, but no sauna or spa but I guess that would be a distraction for someone as lazy as me.

hey arnie !!!!!!!!!!! he he ...no soz....have a go but go steady at first xx

This is bringing back memories of the first gym I joined. I was 17 it was a gym on the very top floor of an old building. To get in you had to go up some iron fire escape stairs on the outside of the building. The gym was ran by a body builder and so was mostly geared up for body building. On the way out on my first visit it absolutely killed me going down the stairs it was funny but scarey.

I would love to go swimming I really miss it......!

You will be swimming in the summer at the Sound!

I predict a scorcher of a summer and you in your tankini bathing in the compliments.

I have an introductory at the gym. I guess they will just show me how all the machines work. I'm dreading that bit as I'm useless at remembering how things work. All the machines are quite different to my day in the gym, when they were all made out of wood and stone!

Thanks for asking
