Threadstoppers United. For the new, nearly new...or even the old members :)

OK, I'll swim them for you then. I'm not a strong swimmer so will only be doing a few lengths.

Wow 32! I'll prob do the 2 maybe another 2 or 3. i doubt any more. Shame you don't do it now. When do you think you will feel confident to get back in the pool?

Dizzy x

erm.........erm ........when I can afford to hire the pool out for myself...lol.

I dont know yet...will see how I feel as I get smaller...I have not tried on my cossie for ages though.

back from pilates ......my pelvic floor is brill since starting pilates ...........!! just in case anyone was wondering ????

Do you know how much you weighed when you felt less self conscious in the pool? Are you are far off that?

I must admit. I never went to the local pool when I was bigger. I would only go swimming when I was out of town.

Shame for my kids though.

I could really do with a brill pelvic floor. I'm sure I'll be incontinent before long if I don't do anything about it soon. I'll see if they have any classes at my gym. I always get the impression that the pilates classes will be filled with ballet dancer types though!

just washed my tutu ................

I was big when I last went swimming 32/34, that pool has since been bulldozed.....think I will have to try my costume on first then decide.

:D Thanks for sharing - I was curious!!!!

well done Dizzy on your gyming, well impressed. I really promised myself that I was going to get fitter this year, maybe I'll start in January.......

Mind you it doesn't help that our treadmill is still in the garden . We had nowhere to put it over Christmas and had to move it out of the lounge (where it is a beautiful piece of furniture!!) to make room for the tree, its too big to take upstairs, so it had to go outside all wrapped up (hope to god its waterproof) and I'm still waiting for DH to bring it back in for me. So that's my excuse:p

Thanks for asking Sonkie

Not bad actually luckily. Little stiffness in the buttocks, little in the lower arms (I have problems with them so happy it's just little pain). Still planning to go swimming at 11.30am may do a short session in the gym after will see how I feel.

Guess it would be a funnier post if I was in agony this morning but boringly I'm not, thank goodness! Guess I could get more stiff as the day goes on so probably should be prepared.

When do you think you will get your machine?

Dizzy x

I gave my treadmill away before Christmas, I got it through Freecycle and gave it away through them too.. still have my exercise bike which is great for hanging jackets on! ;)

Well done on all the keep fit everyone's doing. As for the cozzie and swimming thing - Sonkie.. if you hire the pool I'll swim too! lol Since they stopped the ladies only sessions at my nearest pool I haven't been. It will be a long time before I do I think.. my inner thighs are horrendous..and there's no way to disguise them when in a cozzie.. :( Still.. will hopefully feel more confident in the summer by the time I go to Tobago as I am DEFINITELY going swimming then!! :D

Mindless... a sportsman too eh! A many of many talents - clearly ;) lol Are you going to take up the game (cricket) again when you are lighter?

Thats good, I certainly wouldnt laugh if you had been aching it not funny. Well done and have a great swim.

sssssssssssshhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh..... there there sonkie is here she wont leave you all alone........probably kill the thread though !

I'm back! Had a great workout, a good hour and if the machines are telling the truth burnt around 500 calories. Then a quick swim at the end of the session I did 15 lengths really pleased with that. Very easy breast stroke lengths, the first 2 lengths killed me I was puffing and had to get my breath for a few seconds but after that got into the flow.

Last 5 lengths were for you Sonkie! Thanks for your help.

Been out for 2 1/2 hours can't spend so much time every day but glad to get going, booked in for an aerobics class tomorrow.
