Mornin' all - Dotty here blowing in from the Midlands. Did ya miss me, did ya notice I wasn't here, did ya, huh?

I've haven't been anywhere actually, just my internet connection was playing up and I only got on here for about half hour yesterday, it nearly killed me! So I've got some catching up to do and to wrestle the Alphabet Soup title back from Mindless and return it to it's rightful owner ME!!! So look out Mindless, I'll get you :p

Well it's bloomin' awful here today, I really hate the windy weather. My recycling box just blew over and all the bottles broke, so I've just been out collecting glass before it ended up over the garden & in my dog's little (private - for those little moments ;) ) garden. Fun! Not! Then I had to lock the shed door as that kept blowing open, which is where my ferrets live, in Ferret Manor as we call it, poor little things were trying to snooze, which is what they mostly do.

So now it's a cup of tea & a good session on Minimins.

Have a good day all, give that knee a rest Dizzy, you need to be careful with knees.

xx

I've just had a jump about and my knee is OK. Just when it is bent and weight on it. It's a little sore. I would like to go I think to the class but will take it easy especially on the bending knee exercises. I'm intrigued how well I will cope with the class now and the next convenient class is Monday. I used to do a lot of aerobics but over 10 years ago. I'm intrigued how I will do and how long it will take to get my fitness back. Just realised what I have written that's very positive isn't it expecting to get the fitness back. I never thought I would be that fit again a while ago, guess that's why I had given up. The last couple of days at the gym must have given me a lot more confidence in my ability.

Don't want to jeopardise things by working out on my sore knee. I promise if I go to be careful and stop if needs be.

Oh Boy! Dotty now I'm in turmoil. I guess your right. Should I or shouldn't I? mmmmmh.

I have to go out and tackle the garden too as all the shed and storage are blowing open and everything getting wet or blowing around the garden. I guess if it gets ruined we can chuck out rather than hoarding. I don't really fancy going out there at the moment. It's looking grim.

It's brilliant that you're so positive about your fitness Dizzy, and I really do admire you for getting so into it. It's just that knees can be awkward lil' bu**ers and you don't want to make it worse. It might be worth going along & mention it to the instructor & see what they think, you could join in the rest of the class but just be careful about putting too much pressure on that one knee. Or could you perhaps miss the class & going swimming again instead, less impact on that knee? At least then you'd still be doing something.

My intention this year was to improve my fitness, but it's not really happening - yet . I blame the weather as I don't want to go out in it & the fact my treadmill's out of action, but TBH I'm just making excuses. I'd love to be fit now I've lost my weight, but I'm sooooo lazy and hate exercising!

I need to go out in that weather right now and it's hideous. Everythings getting ruined out there so better go rescue it. I think I will go and just be really careful. It's not bad but I really don't want to make it worse and jeopardise things. I have only had 2 days at the gym have been procrastinating forever, I guess I was worried I wouldn't get that buzz I used too and be depressed that I was now 10 years older. It's a relief to be enjoying it and feel confident that I will get back my fitness but it's early days. The novelty could wear off quickly, although I hope not and am optimistic. I would swim like you suggested today but there aren't any daytime public sessions, I did swim yesterday though after my workout and was really pleased about that.

Must wrap up and go out there. Think about me it is vile!

Take care Dizzy it's nasty out there. I'm staying here in front of my 'puter today - where it's safe & warm :p

rotten weather - had to take daughter to college this morning - flipping 30 odd mile round trip - and then get here to work! I don't mind most types of weather, but strong winds - not good.. supposed to be getting my fence fixed today - can't see that happening! Off to gym at 2.. so will be thinking of you dizzy! hope that knee of yours is ok!!

Thanks for thinking of me babe, I'll do the same for you at two. At two I'll be getting the house ready for extra kids, my kids are bringing friends home to play this evening so I'll have a house full (well even more full than normal!)

I'm back from the aerobics class and knee was fine. Again I really enjoyed and seemed to keep up pretty well and got back into the groove fine. The only negative thoughts I am having are why on earth did I stop exercising and for so long?

I'd sorted out the stuff in the garden earlier but it is all blowing about now they are really really gales blowing out there.

Just been missed by inches, by roof tiles coming off and smashing down in front of me! It's wild out there - anyone who doesn't have to go out stay inside.

Wrap up warm, do up all your buttons and hold on to your hat. If it's anything like tonight brrrrr!

Hope you have a fab time and feel free to drink as much as you like but you can only drink water.

I bet you girls don't need alcohol to have a fab time anyway.

Hi Sonkie... what to wear... something a) comfortable, b) smart but casual - i.e.. nice top and smart jeans or trousers or skirt.. c) low cut top if you have the bust for it ;), lol.. jacket or coat (essential in this weather!).. and basically, it won't matter where you go (unless it's a no-jeans club). :D

Do take care out there though, it's horrid here.. blowing a gale - it's blown down 2 of my 6ft fence panels and taken the roof off one of my sheds too! The bird table is of more use to slugs and snails than anything else and I am just hoping and praying that the roof stays on my house as I noticed some tiles have come off other homes around me! I hate this windy weather - it's just too destructive.
