My son used to play the keyboard at primary school, but in his last yr he just was not keen on keeping it up, he never really gave a proper reason.
Myself and his teacher both tried to get him to keep it up, but did not work. I think he just wanted the time spent practising out playing with friends.

Good luck with your son Dizzy

Yes, he is very precious about 'his' time he always has been. He isn't a child that watches TV much, he doesn't even watch it everyday, rarely after school. He would rather be on the computer or games (but not allowed on week days). He love writing stories or anything. Practising the cello is just too much effort and wastes his time he thinks. If there is an exam ahead then he sees the purpose and will practice.

It is so frustrating but I do kind of understand him.

thanks Dizzy - we posted at the same time, so I didn't see yours straight away.

Yes please do keep an eye on me & feel free to nag & make sure I'm keeping it up, as I am a right lazy old so & so & will use any excuse to get out of exercising.

Yesterday I had a new client who is a tap dancing teacher, which is something I have always wanted to do, but wouldn't when I was bigger, just too self concious. She's starting a daytime class after half-term, so I'm definately going to give that a go, the classes she has at the moment clash with my clients. But I'm really excited about it, and they say to find an exercise you enjoy doing to be able to stick at it - so hopefully this'll be it.

No your low GI meal for tonight you were planning.

Tonights meal is Chicken and Vegetable Stir Fry.

Lots of ingredients to go and buy. Shopping is easy for me though because my boys school is next to Tesco so I park there to pick them up.

Last nights meal was Aubergine, Potatoes and tomatoes. Quite nice, pretty easy to cook and quite a large portion. I have another aubergine so I think I will make up 2 more portions and freeze for when I have less time to cook.

So far so good with the GI diet!

Thanks for asking.

That sounds fab!

I've always wanted to do tap too. I did it as a little 'un but you could only do tap if you also did ballet at my dance school. I got struck down with glandular fever at 6 and had to give up. I didn't want to go back to ballet but would have loved to do tap.

That will be fun and it's so energetic it should be really beneficial too.

I'm interested in the low GI concept - as it seems to be the way forward once you have lost the weight to sustaining it. Do you use a cook book??? or website?? for ideas and recipes??

Sounds lovely - both last nights and tonights! Love aubergines!

I joined tesco ediets, so they give me the meal plan, recipes and shoppings list too. You can even order over the internet too so it is a very convenient service for very busy folk.

I love GI types of food and am keen to kill my cravings and impulse to binge. Obviously early days but so far so good!

This mornings 4 course breakfast was
Branflakes
Rhubarb Yoghurt
1/2 grapefruit
6oz bowl of cherries and grapes.

Took me until 10.30 to eat all that!

Happy to send you recipes if you like.

Thanks! Oh that does sound lovely.

Have awhile before I get to maintainence stage .... but might sign up for the Tescos weight thingy anyway. Have seen their banner advertising the ediet.

Is it just you on it?? or Mizzytoo?? My OH could do with shifting about a stone - but is vegetarian ... and fussy with it - so it may suit him. I could practise on him first and then when I'm nearer goal be well into it.

Mizzy's goal was 13 stone, he got down to 12/13 on CD but since Xmas is maintaining about 13/7. He is looking great now much better now his face has filled out a bit more. But he does feel he'd like to lose a couple more pounds and maintain anyway. He has fantastic meals at work which he has had on and off lately. He still takes a CD soup some days. He didn't eat the meal last night as he doesn't like aubergines but he is having stirfry tonight. I guess he won't follow the plan but watching his portions and having some of my GI meals may be enough for him.

You could try it for your hubby. Last nights meal was veggie, I'm sure they have a veggie option. If you go to my diary there is a link on one post that gives you 1000 clubcard points if you join.

Can't believe it's 11.40 I have to go get some jobs done.

I know what you mean I've been exactly the same. I keep feeling like I'm back in ketosis. But it is really really cold today. When I was out in it fetching the boys my hands were physically really painful from the cold. It snowed for 5 minutes or so this afternoon.

I wouldnt mind so much if we had a bit of snow.......? At least there would have a reason for being cold...but the sun has been out all day.
Oh well best keep up with the hot water and black tea..!

I sympathsise girls. I advise being very best friends with a hot water bottle.

Yeh it is strange how your whole body changes.

Hav you had snow ?
It quite nice today, lovely blue sky with a few fluffy clouds, sun out but still chilly.
No snow for us just had a bit of rain overnight.

Yes a little snow, couple of inches on the cars to clean off this morning (good ole Mizzy!) Kids were a bit frisky with excitement)

Been for a walk around the town with my 4 year old and his reception class. The little ones are so gorgeous! ahhh

Don't think I'm going to fit the gym in today and it is swimming day too. Trouble is I need to enrole and I don't really have the time so I'll skip it and go tomorrow and Friday.

So much to do in the house too, so tell me off if you see me on here please.

DS2 was invited to go play with a friend after school tonight and I agreed before I knew they lived about 15 miles away. So I'll have to go fetch him in the dark and gold dragging the other 2 and trying not to get lost as I've not go a clue where they are. Boy! I would call it off but he has been looking forward to it. Will just have to stop being such a wuss!
