Hola

Have had a read through of your diary but I'm on my iPhone so can't see your stats. What's your height and current weight and how much have you lost on the CWP?

I think we may have even spoken before when I did CWP last year : )

But before I chime in with my advice I thought I'd better get my facts straight first : )

Oh couldn't get strawberry for yoghurt! :( 4 choc 1 choc mint a mango and a forest fruits. Not much selection as she had no time to put order in but had all my usual stuff for me so at least that was good. Prob wasn't expecting me to do step 2 x

Hi hun,

I'm 5ft5 and 10st3,5lbs at the moment, lost 4st4.5lbs so far on Cambridge since 1 jan. target is 9.5 stone.

Prob not me as I only appeared end of December about a week before I started....

Welcome to my diary :)

Oh I'm confusing you with someone else then! So sorry : )

I started CWP last June and I was 12 stone 4lbs. I'd previously lost 3 stone last year through calorie counting but had kind of stalled at 12 st 4. I'm 5 ft 4 so similar to you .

I was on SS for 7 weeks and lost 2 stone in that time - leaving me at 10st 4 in September. I hit my target of 9 st 4 in October via calorie counting and am currently 9 stone 5 so I guess I've maintained - although that's been very tricky!

My suggestions for you to kick start this last bit . This is what I did for the last month and it took me down to 9st 4 within 4 or 5 weeks ...

Stop drinking so much water. Up to 2 litres is plenty - any more just places unnecessary strain on your kidneys and it really won't aid weight loss.

Only eat three times a day - no snacks at all. An average day for me was this ...

Fruit and fat free natural yogurt with a spoon of oats

Stir fried veg with quorn or tofu or cottage cheese or a big salad with one of the above

Soup or ryvita or an omelette

It was a little dull but I varied it and kept carbs low and I calorie counted - for the first two weeks I ate 800 cals a day and the second fortnight I ate 1000.

Controversially I didn't do the CD steps as just more £££ on heavily processed bars and shakes and after the initial weight drop they just don't work. It's kind of time to be brave and venture into the world of eating once more!

I now eat to my calorie allowance of 1600 ish a day. Once a week I have a big treat meal and have a nice pudding and a glass of wine. I write down everything I eat so I'm fully accountable .

So - in may 2011 I was 15 st 2 and size 18. I'm now 9 st 5 and size 8, 8 months after finishing CD so it can be done but it's quite tricky .

Feel free to ignore the above waffle but we are very similar in stats and I know that getting this last bit off seems so hard.

Good luck : )

I read an article on water consumption and it says that in order for your body to run at its most efficient it should be calculated by your weight.
Its simply half of your weight in lbs drink in oz

IE - if you weigh 150lbs you should drink 75oz of water / 2.2 litres.

anymore it less doesn't allow your organs to function at full capacity. We should all be revising out water intake as we lose weight x

That's really interesting xx

It makes sense if you think about it. Same as amount if food or calorie intake people need depending in weight/height/size/muscle mass etc.

If you work it out it fits perfectly with weight at perfect bmi too x

That's awesome that you have maintained so well!

What's interesting is that what you were eating seems quite similar to the Cambridge steps anyhow, just no products!

For me I will be going up the steps - main reason being that I plan to eventually become a consultant myself after. But also I'm a bit addicted to some of the products!

Really interesting about the water! I've always naturally drunk a lot so generally I've not really struggled to hit the amount needed, but I never force it on myself so I figure I am having what my body needs, generally I have just over 2l.

Oh how I'd love to be an 8, I'm not sure my body is built like that though... Massive pelvis!
