Tipperary will rock 2025

Back from town and went for a swim instead of a cycle. 38 lenghts today so 8 up on yesterday and my arms and waist do feel like they have had a workout.
Anyway lunch cooking an about to sit down now for GOT marathon (finally) so will be AWOL for about 24 hours. Sure the utility room will still be there tomorrow.

 38 lengths.. That little emoji has the exact face I had when I read that:) wowza! I couldn't even do one..I can't swim. It looks such good fun..well done on your swim. Have you heard about the Swim the Channel for charity thing? My daughter did it, I nearly collapsed when she told me before she added she was to do her miles in the pool..she absolutely loved it. I can imagine you liking something like that too.
Hope you're enjoying your GOT fest x

Before you think I'm superwoman I better say that the pool is only 20m. But it did feel good, you can target specific body parts with the jogging so trying to get my arms, side boobs, back and waist sorted

Watched 5 episodes last night but need to watch number 5 again as I fell asleep.

Well done on the swimming. It's the one exercise that I think I realistically quite like, and it doesn't aggravate my achy feet, which have moments of still aching like beasts due to the plantar faciitis I developed from standing for long hours when i did my baking business a few years ago. I am really liking my aquafit and then swimming some lengths afterwards too, and I've definitely got more upper body strength again since doing it.

What do you think of GOT? I've not watched it, but like you I have Netflix (and Amazon Prime) at my disposal, and really love a binge watch. I loved Breaking Bad and Orange is the New Black. Also a bit of a sucker for the nordic noir The Bridge & The Killing. I think it was on Netflix I watched a quirky series called Love, which was quite a good watch.

I LOVE GOT. Watched it since day 1 and now annoyed that I have to wait another year for the next bit (finished it today). Yep, binge watching is the best, I haven't got the patience for week to week. Also our satellite signal keeps going, as does our phone signal. The internet signal goes too but is the last to go, we live in a media black hole. Honestly if you look at the provider maps none of them cover where we live, we are in a dip surrounded by trees.

Today was a wine and chocolate day.

Today was a wine and chocolate day.

I can't get the idea of Fun Food Friday out of my head:)

I've never got into GOT though Dave really likes it..apart from the last series. I hate when you're really enjoying a series then have to wait for ever for the next ones..like the walking dead. X

Exhausted now but utility room is now clean....I think its the first time since Easter that I can see the floor. I still haven't tackled the freezer yet.

Disturbed nights sleep, in fact I wonder was it something in the air as all 3 of us were awake through the night. I woke up with a jump at about 2am with heart pounding and adrenaline rushing through me. It took about an hour reading a rescue remedy to bring it down.
Up now and knitting, with regret I had to rip back 3 days work on the mermaid blanket, it was much too wide and would take a mountain of wool to finish and fit an elephant. So back to day 2 of it again.
Girls and Oscar coming for lunch today, I am making pumpkin risotto but after that will have to go shopping as we have very little left in the fridge

Gosh have you had a change in the weather, to keep you all awake? I'm so used to waking three times a night now, it doesn't bother me so much - but good you had some rescue remedy on hand!

Shame about the blanket though.

Isn't it odd about you all being awake..and scarey to feel like that when you've woken suddenly.
How annoying having to pull the knitting out, good job you realised before you did more. Does knitting calm you? It used to aggravate the hell out of me unless I was doing teeny weeny baby cardigans. X

It does both, mindless knitting can calm me down but I knit very quick and that can speed up my heart rate. So I tend to do something big and simple that I have to keep checking as that stops me getting too quick. Almost back where I was.
Well have had a lovely lazy and slightly unplanned day, the girls and Oscar arrived. Oscar was cranky and tired so we ended leaving him on the couch watching Thomas the tank engine and we had a 2 hour lunch. Lovely food, lively wine and then we watched the white queen. After they left I fell asleep. Not sure how long i slept but have just come to bed. I'll read for a while and expect to be up early.
We are bracing ourselves for a storm, an ex hurricane by the time it hits us. Our polytunnel is still open so if I can I will lock it up tomorrow morning. I've been given the option to cancel tomorrow s class but have said we will wait and see how bad the storm is, I don't need to travel far but some of the parents do.
A few years ago we had an unexpected very bad storm. I was teaching a class at 2pm when debris started to hit the roof and then the electricity wires fell down on our building. I was teaching adults and sent them all home. Then I had to stop the car to help a man trapped by the wind, he was clinging to a fence and couldn't make it the four feet across the path to his car. His wife was in the car and couldn't open the door, I drove onto the path to block the wind and almost carried him to the car. My husband by coincidence was at the 999 call centre working on the IT system and was listening to all the calls come in, he said over the course of 2 hours every road in the county had been closed due to fallen trees. The Gardai (police) were telling people to call neighbours to help them from trapped cars or if they could walk to get out and just go to the nearest house as they didn't have enough rescue vehicles.
The storm hit at about 1:30pm and by 2pm the gardai called all the schools in our county to close and get the school.buses off the road by 2:30.
I hope tomorrows not as bad, though the schools have already been shut down for the day.

Heavy rain at 4pm but no storm yet. Trying to convince myself to get the wellies on and get out to lock up the polytunnel and put flyable things away.

Wind is picking up. I've brought the cats and kittens in. The hens are just refusing to go into the coop. I went outside to try to put things away but there is just too much to do.

Having left over pizza for breakfast...it will be one of those days.

Storm seems to have stayed on coast and moved north words. We have lots of leaves down and wet windows but no damage. The whole country is closed, no banks, no schools, no post, no shops....strange..almost like Christmas day.

Apparently hurricane Oscar is really bad because storm Opelia won't let him out. It really is a tropical storm....so hot, darling husband is still in pyjamas and I'm in a t shirt
